Took my car in for its regular rotation only to be told I need new tires - after 2 years and 30,000 miles - and they tell me the tires they sold me didn't have any mileage warranty so I'm stuck. The Roanoke location is the best one in the metroplex. I have been going to this location since they opened. About a month ago I came in for a routine tire balance the day after getting my oil changed. My check engine light was on but I wasn't sure why and it's obviously not their problem I just needed my tires rotated. They went above and beyond and noticed oil leaking from my car, tightened the cap, and returned my car to me with the check engine light gone! (And the tires rotated of course). I love this location! They are friendly Ns very knowledgeable. I had a flat tire today and I took it there to have fixed. I did have to wait 2 1/2 hours due to not having an appt. I was able to keep track of what was happening through the link that was sent to me so I did not need to stay and wait until less I choose to. They were able to patch my tire and did not charge me. So plan to replace all my tires this spring and will be taking my car to this location. I will make a appt ahead of time though. read more

Had two Michelin front tires with an unusual wear in contrast to the two rear tires still being almost perfect. I've had them rotated regularly. (front end misalignment of truck is most likely the root cause) Discount tire took responsibility and worked with Michelin to get me some $ credit for the tire failing well before the 70k warranty. My family and I have always chose discount tire because how they take care of their customers. However, this time was different. I stopped by to get air in my tires and one of the techs highly recommended that I get my front tires replaced. So I went in and talked to Brandon about getting new tires. We found some tires he recommended and they put them on and I went on my way. As I was driving to work my car started to shift very hard in 1st-3rd gear. I didn't think it was related to tires at all. So I called James Wood and spoke with the service department, when I told him I just got two new front tires he said that's most likely the problem. He said it matters because my car is an all wheel drive (AWD) and that if the tread depth is not within the specs of the manufacturer it can cause rough shifting due to the wheels spinning at different rates of speed. So I was upset that discount tires never mentioned to me that I needed to replace all four tires because it was an AWD. I felt somewhat responsible because it's my car and I should know. However, I trust they know best and would inform me at the very least. But how Jimmy and Kolby handled the situation is why I put them at five stars and will continue to do business with discount. Not only did they take back the tires but they found a set of four outstanding tires and worked with me on the price due to the inconvenience. He also said he would train the associates better. Since when does Discount Tires write your name on a piece of paper, never enters it in the computer, you wait almost an hour and you ask for a status (of where you are in line) and they added another 30 minutes so now you are waiting another hour and a half! I was originally told almost two hours then they added another 30 minutes! I left and went to another Discount Tire in Denton, excellent customer service and accurate of when my vehicle would be ready! Roanoke Discount Tire used to be excellent but since summer 2021, forget it!! I understand everyone is 'under-staffed' but you don't have THREE PAGES of customers written names and D.T. employees have NO CLUE who is waiting on their vehicle much less what time customers checked in (in person)!!!! I stopped in yesterday with a slow leak in a tire and was pleasantly surprised. They were pretty busy but I was out the door in a little over an hour with a complimentary repair. These guys all seem to be well trained, know what they're doing and appear to work well as a team. They treated me with professionalism and courtesy. My only real complaint is that they don't have nitrogen. After explaining that my car isn't driven often, and I didn't want to spend too much, I paid for one just one tire and a rotation. Two years ago I purchased four full sets of tires for my family. Wes Hanna from the Redwood City, CA. location promised me if there was any issue with my tires I could drop into a local shop and they would locate my receipt of original purchases and perform the necessary services. This came true while I was visiting my son in Roanoke, TX where two nails punctured two of the tires due to a construction area I accidentally drove through.
