I have been to this discount tire on multiple occasions. I have never left in a bad mood. They are professional, kind, and they know what they are talking about. They know that car/tire issues can be stressful, but they are efficient and reliable. I would definitely recommend this place. Also, side note, they do price match! Literally the only tire place I've ever had a 5 star rating to give. The guys were so professional and kind. I needed my TPMS checked, so Jeremy checked my tires & then the TPMS & all of them were pretty much shot, so I got them replaced. They got me in before my appointment time (4:30). This is a review for the old or trusting BUYER BEWARE'' and do not anyone do anything to your car, before paying. This of course is my opinion. Now here is the summary (only a theory of course) stopped for air went back for air (possibly jamming the valve stem core) easily done. went to local shop had it changed made appointment at discount. went to discount where my tire was damaged (my opinion) which made a flat repair impossible, according to 'omitted '' which I knew considering the location. How was it made ''the rim had a chunk out of it from a pothole driving from meijer handicap spot to belle tire (same lot) BTW: I was never offered the return of the good tire, it was just kept. SO THAT IS MY STORY AND IT IS STRONG ENOUGH CIRCUMSTANTIAL ENOUGH TO PROSECUTE MANY A CASE. Also 1 year trial law. The sales man (Cody?) came in telling me of irreparable damage to the flat and yes I could buy 1 tire, but I was under the impression that replacing one steer tire, coming into winter would not be the best idea. Then here comes the sales '' You have Pirelli tires and they are costly and not in stock'' "Now I have a something for only (??) $101 per tire but for a few dollars more $364.00(??) you can have something I never heard of from General(?) Well, a few dollars more didn't seem terrible, so like an IDIOT I gave up my card. GENIUS. When Wayne brought my car in to have the tires done I asked if he could tell me what caused the leak(?) A short time later he came in the waiting area and said he found no leak. AT THAT POINT I SHOULD HAVE SAID, FILL THE TIRE AND REPLACE THE SPARE AND FLED. But I did not '''My fault"' Now, as I was driving out, I stopped to see if they replaced the spare back were it belonged and they did. Everything I just wrote was sinking in and $364.00 echoed in my wallet. I made it pretty clear I was poor and broke, did they offer any affordable choice no. Will the likely resell the right front (which they charged me for disposal?) yup. I was so disgusted with myself and sure everyone knew I was now an old fool I did not leave my 500sq apartment for 2 days further impeding my health from inactivity, but as I sat here as I am at 12:05 am 10/14/22, I thought it odd, when I asked the owner of the shop who changed the flat, did not mention a chunk that was missing from the tire then, as the primary reason they (the shop) could not fix the flat?? Not simply they were far too busy. Soo this morning, I went back for a visit for to reasons, 1) the owner (my age) has a father witth the same neuropathy issues I do and I was going to share an update of the treatment I was using that might benefit his dad. While I was there, I asked the owner (not leading him, learned that first year law school) ''Say, did you notice anything strange about the tire the other day'' to which he answered ''It was flat lol'' Nothing else that might have made the leak? Called and asked after explaining we had been waiting somewhere else for a while, wanted to see if they could get us right in. They said yes, we have space come on over we will get you right in. Pulled In and waited 10 min to check in as no one was even outside to check us in, then waited 30 minutes, just for them to tell us it would be another 30 minutes.... Good and bad things to say here..these guys seem to know what they are doing. I got a flat tire and so I dropped the tire off there for the day. They are very friendly, they took a look at my tire for me but it wasn't fixable. However, I waited and waited for a call from them, and they didn't contact me. When I called them they said they couldn't fix it and quoted me for a new one because a used one would take a couple days to get in. When I called them back to say go ahead and install it on the rim, they had already sold it. Right out from underneath of me! Just left the store after a few different phone calls and stoping in. I purchased all new rims and 3 new tires from this location. Everything was fine with the price and the service. Where they went horribly wrong was with follow up. I hit a pothole and it busted my passenger side back rim. It held air so I'm currently driving it. When I went in for my first tire rotation they told me they couldn't replace the rim under warranty (not a huge deal I hated the way it looked but hey it held air). So I accepted that I had 4 new rims and one had a chip in it. It didn't look like it would hold air... but it did. So I asked that they just rotate them. The tech came in shortly after and told me that the tires cannot be rotated due to the chipped rim. So I left a review explaining my situation with discount. The manager promptly called me and asked that I come in to see if we could come up with a solution. I am a business owner and that is all I would ask of my customers is to have an opportunity to correct the problem. So I was optimistic. When I arrived the manager came out and did nothing but talk. He explained that the discount I received when I purchased all new rims and tires was already a great deal. He then talked at length about how the potholes are the problem and I need to discuss that with the city, he also told me that I could make a claim on my insurance. He seemed to say everything, but failed to ask one question... "how can I make you satisfied?" There was no negotiation as far as let's work together to find a solution. As a matter of fact he talked at length and then Said "ok" then held his hand out to shake. I shook his hand and left. He seemed to be more concerned with getting me to leave then trying to solve my issue. I understand that business need to make money, but sometimes you need to take a loss and eat the cost to keep clients happy. That's just the cost of doing business. If they would have Rectified this issue I would have brought all 3 of my vehicles to this specific location. (I also brought my mother in shortly After for 4 new rims and tires) wish I hadn't at this point. The staff is friendly and prompt. The only thing I would caution you on is if you have to return for additional service. Follow up and standing behind your products is greatly important to me. If it's not to you and you just need some air or are in a pinch for some tires then this is the place for you. If something happens heaven forbid, this is not the place to spend your money. Asked for a 5-tire rotation and they DID not rotate all 5 tires. I asked them about it and even had two guys come outside to look at the spare tire and they INSISTED that they did rotate it in in spite of evidence that the tire had never been driven on. After the way the Manager Kevin handled our situation I feel the need to update my previous review. Discount tire called my husband back after a series of unfortunate events and offered us a free battery. That was enough to win us back and we decided to go to them for our tires as well. Someone told my husband earlier today they had the tires we wanted in stock, well when we brought our car in after replacing the battery they did not actually have the correct tires. Kevin got us even better tires for the price we were originally quoted. Every company will make mistakes and have things happen but the way they handle it is what matters most to us. My son went to get a flat repaired, they tried to repair it but it wasn't repairable. Then they refused to put the spare tire back on the car - saying it was over 10 years old and unsafe. Forcing my son to have to buy a tire from them. Not good customer service to 'force' someone to buy a tire. I will NOT be going back to them. read more

Came in with a leaking tire and unfortunately all my tires were in poor shape; I really needed a new set. (I was afraid this was the case.) They explained the situation, but I didn't feel like they were pressuring me, and they suggested a change in style of tires which would make the replacement considerably cheaper. When I first started going here, I felt like it was a good experience. However, lately, I am not impressed. My husband went there the other day to get an inspection for his work. He felt they were rude to begin with, telling him to come back in a few hours after they initially told him to bring the car in first thing in the morning, and when he got his car back, they found things wrong which he said were absurd, like a leak that didn't exist, didn't give him a print out of what they said was wrong, kept the inspection paper, and just told him rudely while holding out the key that his car was outside. Also, they blew the fuse so that when he was on the highway, none of his brake lights worked and someone had to flag him down to tell him of this very dangerous situation. Someone from his work had to fix it so he could drive home safely. read more

Have to give this Discount Tires a huge shout out! We were in from the Chicago area for a weekend and had a tire issue, nail in our tire. It was a Saturday, busy day, tons of people, and we thought oh crap! The guy we had was great, took care of us without pushing us aside and did this all for free because we are customers from Lombard, IL.
