I've had to come three times in the last couple of months and every time they find something new that needs to be replaced. Sensors, wipers and the last time spare. Within one week of going apparently my spare needed to be replaced but hadn't been touched ever. I had a flat then a few days later my sensor was acting up. They said it needed to be replaced then a few days later they said all of them needed to be replaced. Just don't feel like I can trust this location. read more

I had an appointment and arrived 25 minutes early, they still took care of me, which I appreciated! The person who helped me was attentive, listened to my concerns, and reprogrammed my tire pressure sensors quickly and efficiently. The only downside was the lack of structure when checking in. It wasn't clear where to line up, and no one acknowledged I was waiting. When I tried to approach the counter, several employees avoided eye contact until someone eventually called me over. Overall, the service was solid once I was helped, but a bit more organization at the front would really improve the experience. Today I came into this Discount Tires disappointed that I had to wait a little longer than expected for my 4 tires to get replaced after having a bit of a stressful day at work. However, during my wait, I witnessed an amazing act of kindness by en employee named Andre. There was a lady who urgently needed to get her tire replaced but it was obvious the cost was an issue for her. Andre worked with her to get her the lowest price tire he could find that would meet the standards for her vehicle. He was able to get her the best deal he could and the lady was still apprehensive about the cost because she didn't have enough Mo eh to cover it. I only know this because she stepped away to ask someone to Cashapp her $10 so she could cover the cost. When she went back to the counter to pay, her method of payment would not go through. She continued to try to pay and then attempted to use other cards via electric tap payments but nothing would work. Andre realized that payment was probably not going to process due to funds not being available to cover the entire outstanding costs so he told the lady not to worry about this and that Discount Tires would take care of it. He said he was able to get it covered. He actually paid her outstanding balance from his own phone! It makes me so happy to know that there are still such great people with big hearts out there willing to help a stranger. Andre went over and beyond what he is required to do as far as customer satisfaction goes! For this reason alone, I will continue to come back to this location whenever I need any tire repairs or replacements. I found that DISCOUNT TIRE matches prices, and I didn't have to wait so I made a appointment to go in. They got my truck on the rack and I'm and out in @ 35 minutes. Been a Discount Tire customer for about 25 years now, they are generally well staffed and knowledgeable. The tire selection is very good but you do sometimes need to pre-order tires if your looking for certain makes or models. The guys here have always been friendly and usually in and out in well under an hour for a rotation and balance. The location just down I-10 on the service road in Katy, just past Mason, is okay. The staff isn't the friendliest and they have more "know it all's" than this location. I just love how these guys think that in their 20 odd years of life and 6 months working for a tire shop magically makes them think they know more than a customer. The location on Cinco Ranch Blvd, just off 99 and before Westheimer, is by the worst in the area. Just after covid I stopped by for a rotation and balance and was turned away because we must make appointments now. I didn't realize that, thanks Discount for keeping me in the loop (that's sarcasm btw). The guy working didn't offer to squeeze me in, just flat out said I had to make an appointment and come back. I get policy changes but I was completely honest, told him I didn't know, never received an email or letter in the mail, etc. and you'd think customer service would have kicked in but nope. What if I'd had a flat on one of my under warranty tires? Would they have still told me to make an appointment? FYI, I told this story to this location and they told me it happens and they squeeze the person in to get them taken care of and don't send them away to make an appointment. read more

Clean shop, plenty of parking, and a staff who walked out to my vehicle and greeted me with a smile. I was literally only waiting for 45 minutes and both the service manager and tire tech were very professional. At the end he asked if there was anything additional he could review while doing a final overview of my vehicle. I greatly appreciate the level of service & thorough work. Worst location I've ever been to. The guy helping me kept trying to hustle me into buying 4 new tires when all I needed was a Wheel. I had even called before hand and asked about price and if I could purchase. I was told yes of course. So I get there and apparently I was lied to. After 30 min of back and forth, and being told that I can't buy just a wheel for my wife's car, he went and got the manager and the manager came to tell me that if I gave them CASH ONLY, that they would sell me the wheel. I asked if that was company policy and if so, could I see it. Obviously, it was no where to be found. Nicco is extremely knowledgeable. Great feedback on several types of tires. Price is pretty much standard, all depends in tire and performance you're looking for. Only downside is that they don't do alignment. They refer you to another shop. Price is of that shop is ridiculous. Highly recommend Autocheck Elite off Kingsland and Pin Oak. And then to also be told that the credit card that gives a discount and military won't be accepted on both as of two weeks prior. Worst discount tire service I've ever experienced! Absolutely no one came to help us or even great us. We waited half an hour to be serviced for tire pressure. My mom wanted to check her tires and possibly buy a new one, but no one came to help. I called twice and they didn't even apologize, first time I called they told me they were in the bathroom and the 2nd time they told me that they would have someone come out when they have someone available. They never came... I ended up putting air in my own tires. No one even offered to help when they saw me taking matters into my own hands. I'll never come here again. Forever disappointed. read more

I have bought tires from this company for 10+ years. Never again. Had a blow out on the interstate from a bad tire. They warrantied the blown tire, because they verified it was defective. But not the shocks that it destroyed. Then I had to pay for them to balance the new one? Then I had to buy a second tire so they would wear evenly? At full price? Awesome. The day before my appointment, the store called me to remind me the time and the service they are doing. When I got to my appointment, which was at 8:30am, the check in process was a breeze. Awesome as always! The staff was willing do go above and beyond. I had my car at the body shop and wanted to get new tires while I was at it, so I asked if I can just bring the wheels in. They said that it was no problem and asked if I needed help getting the tires from the body shop to them. I said no thanks, I can haul them one by one and they insisted to pick them up so I was happy for the help. They had the wheels picked up and brought to the shop for replacement. They didn't stop there....after replacing the tires, they returned the tires back to the body shop. They did all of this in about an hour. I will be back here and you should go as well. read more

This is not like any other Discount tire I've been to over the years I've bought all my tires from discount tires other locations and once from this one. Once in the past at the Pearland location I stopped by to have them check the tire pressure in the tires of my motorcycle and they did and one was a little low so they inflated it, but this one will not help out I called and I was told they would not help out. Went there for a quick tire pump. Place is not busy but no one seem to care. Waited for 3 mins and no one came to acknowledge me so I left.

Since this location opened I have been there at least four to five times to have the pressure in my tires checked. I have waited as long as 20 minutes and still could not get any assistance or acknowledgement that I was there and not because they were busy. This has happened every time I have gone there and they are not as busy as other locations. Of course I have not waited this long each time but still no acknowledgement of being there. If you need air don't waste your time. I've always had good service at other locations. read more

I originally got a quote to change out a tire sensor on one of my wheels from firestone and they wanted to charge me over $200 after all was said and done. I decided to go to this new discount tire on west grand parkway in Katy. Manager seemed really nice and she quoted me to do it for $60. I decided I will give them a shot. I went a day earlier than my scheduled appointment due to me having to work and got the sensor done. Took about 30 minutes which is not the issue. My issue is 3 days later I am washing the lube from them taking the tire off my brand new month old rims and tires and find they put a big scratch in my rim. My issue is this was done with them knowing and instead of letting me know they hid it and let me leave with a scratched rim. Because of this I will definitely not come back here for service ever again nor will I recommend them to anyone I know. I should have spent the extra money and went to firestone because they would not have messed my rim up. So yea I may have saved money going to them but now I have a scratch in my rim from them that I now have to get fixed. read more
