I told him I was in a time crunch and he said "if you can get here asap, I got you. I'll get you in and out within your time frame". I pulled up, parked the car, got out and BOOM, there Alex was literally waiting for me to take the car into the shop! I went inside and I talked to Jared about higher grade tire options and he was very knowledgeable. I ended up going with the higher grade tires. Alex walked in at this point then rushed back out to tell the team about the new tires. I grabbed a complimentary water, sat down in a chair, talked on the phone for a couple minutes and then here walks in, Katelyn. She says "Riley!" You car is ready. I got up, but then quickly sat back down because it couldn't be me. I literally just dropped the car off. She's staring at me and says "Riley!". I hesitate... look out front and voila, there was my car waiting for me with 2 new tires. I was in disbelief! And I still am writing this. You guys have an F1 pit crew. That was truly AMAZING. Discount Tire has some rather archaic policies that are sometimes annoying. If you know them ahead of time it can save you frustration (and money). They don't like repairing tires unless they're relatively new and unworn, and if there is a nail involved make cure it's near the center of the tire; otherwise you might be wasting your time. The main reason for my positive review is a gentleman named MATTHEW H R, who was very patient and understanding. We ran into some issues with Continental, but he managed to persevere and get me what I needed. The company as an organization can be somewhat stingy when it comes to mileage credits, especially if the tires aren't perfectly worn (try to rotate every 6,000 miles if you can). I find that to be a nuisance because whatever your drivetrain is coupled to at the moment will be slightly more worn, even on vehicles with AWD. In any case they always have many tires in stock, a variety of different brands, and a plethora off offers at any given time. They also do price match usually, so check Tire Rack, or even the nearby Sam's Club to make certain you're getting the best value. Like most tire shops they have a tendency to lose valve stem caps, so if you have specialty caps or ones that you're sentimentally attached to, make sure to take them off before handing your vehicle over. While Karenesque of me I wouldn't mind seeing them add Nitrogen as a refilling option, Costco does it and I find that it does in fact make some difference. read more

Well, here I am trying to get my rear wheel off to change my break pads, only to be pleasantly surprised by a cross threaded lug nut. Was nice to know one of my lug nuts was barely on the wheel stud for the past year, and now both it and the lug nut are ruined. Rep told me they had all 4 tires available and got my car in, replaced two front tires just to tell me that they only had those 2 in stock, problem was a bad rear tire brought me in. So I get to waste rest of the day going to another location clear across town to wait for them to put on the other two tires. Tagged along with my husband on his work trip so we rented a car from Turo for me to be able to drive around during the day. Two days in a row I went out to the car to have low PSI on a tire- once on the left and once on the right. I was alone in a city I was unfamiliar with but decided to go to Discount Tire because that's who we go to back home. Basically- both tires were in bad shape, but they were able to patch one and ended up putting the lovely spare on for the other one because it was not able to be patched. Charles (Chuck) was so helpful and even remembered my name the second day when I walked back in. They took care of me and got me back on the road safely. Went here today for a tire balance and rotation and got great service. It was super easy to make an appointment online and to call and confirm. Unfortunately when I arrived they could not find my appointment in the system, but they still saw me anyway. The service only took about 30 minutes despite the number of people in the shop. I did not realize that any tires, whether you buy them at Discount Tire or not, can be balanced and rotated for free! So awesome!!! The guy who helped me was super nice and honest as well. He told me that the tread was looking good on my tires and I was good to go once they were done. He did not try to sell anything to me and was so helpful. Having recently returned, some of my cars needed their tires serviced so I brought them here. Professional, down to earth and good to joke around with. We had a tire that looked low on pressure so took it in to have it checked out. We even called before we went. The man came out and looked at it visually to tell us that the tire is more than 10 years old, it doesn't have a flat, and they can't do anything including check a tire pressure for a tire that is greater than 10 years old. Interestingly, all of my tires were purchased in 2017 and that particular tire was again replaced in 2019. (I even called my original tire shop to confirm the dates I purchased). So he refused to help and didn't give us any solution-not even to purchase a new tire! Don't go here! Horrible horrible service. Even if they had said something like we can't do this right now because we plan on closing soon and you can come in the next day for it then I wouldn't be leaving this review. I made an appointment and got in same-day. The service was quick, friendly and accommodating. They examined my tire, removed a nail, patched it and checked all the other tires just in case, keeping me informed throughout the entire process. What's more, I WAS NOT CHARGED A DIME! I just kind of stood there dumbstruck when they told me they don't charge for small repairs like this. Truth be told, I absolutely dread having any work done on my car thanks to condescending salesmen, so I am beyond impressed and grateful for the excellent, honest customer service at Discount Tire.
