A very nice man greeted us, discussed needs and explained why we didn't need to spend extra money for the top of the line. So he saved us a few dollars in the process. He inspected the flat tire and the spare in the trunk and explained the need for a new spare due to the old one being 20 years old. As to the service speed, we were in and out extremely quickly. Damaged 2 wheels on Mercedes Benz while removing and installing tires, reported the issue next day after the dealership observed the wheels were damaged based on seeing the wheels the day before, dealership didn't have tires in stock, I advised I would take to Discount Tire because they had installed before, then return for service. Discount Tire Manager denied damage happened and said he had to go to his kids school, didn't ask another staff to continue, no solution, I was brushed off. Don't recommend due to poor workmanship and caused damages not taken responsibility for damages. read more

8.24.23 air check. Not sure if would return to this Discount tires. All I needed was a free air check. I waited and waited for one of the guys to come out to check my tires and after almost 16 minutes some guy finally comes out. He was nice but - what took so long?! As I waited I watched several guys in the tire bays just standing around and they looked over at the me and the 3 other people who were waiting for air checks but never bother to come out my way. I even tried calling them on the phone after waiting 13 minutes but they did not even answer the PHONE! I get it, no one wants to give free air checks - but you offer it so you should know this is part of your J O B. read more

I stopped in just for an air pressure check on my tires and ended up getting 2 new front tires, a rotation, and new lugs. I really appreciate EVERYONE that is working there, as they helped me out way more than I could ask. I felt bad for coming in 10 minutes before they closed, but they took care of me and my car as if they had just opened for the day. They must be doing well because they constantly have long lines and even if you have an appointment, you can expect it to not be honored and they will take at least twice as long as they estimate for you so don't pretend that when they say 45 minutes that you got a chance for them to even look at your car in 45 minutes go home get lunch, relax because these guys aren't fast read more

Decided to get my sons car washed and vacuumed when I noticed a flat. Thankfully I was able to get some air in it and drive to the nearest Discount Tire. I was greeted immediately and my wait was like only 5 mins. And it took them only 10 mins to pull my car into the garage. Of course when I arrived I was 1 of 3 customers. Now the parking lot is full!! Anyway, Corbin was awesome!! He's professional, great customer service and he'll tell you why Houston is 100% better than Amarillo! LOL he's a funny guy. Ended up with a screw which was an easy fix. A quick plug and a patch and I'm on my way. 30 minutes tops!! Again...It's because I'm first in line! My wife and I went here and purchased 4 brand new tires and had them installed and balanced on her Honda. They were super quick and even helped us pick out tires in our budget range. While they don't do alignments, they do have a partnership with a nearby place that does do alignments at a discounted price if you purchase tires with them. They were very helpful and friendly. I came in frustrated with a defensive attitude due to directional tires being installed the wrong direction. So I went in for a regular tire rotation about a month ago and the techs/SA's who worked on my truck were telling me that the weights that were put on my car were completely off, which was causing my tires to wear unevenly. (Which I find hard to find due to me religiously rotating them) I've never had an issue w my tires ever since I've put them on. At another discount tire that I usually go to. So the service advisor stated "we have to take the weights off so we can save your tires" since I didn't want to pay $1500 for a whole new set like he offered me. I advised him I would think about it and also advised him if they could put 36 psi in the front and 34 psi in the back. And went about my business. A few days go buy and the ride is just rough. Like I'm riding on a dirt road. So I take it back and speak w another gentleman who I expressed how the ride felt and he stated "you may just not be used to the tires" and I advised him that they are the same tires I've been riding on. So another tech came out to assist and when we both looked at the tires, my back driver side tire had chunks of tire missing. And as long as I've had my truck and wheeled it. I've never even had a tiny piece of rubber fall off. So the tech advised we go check the tire pressures to see if that would help the ride. ALL 4 TORES WERE DIFFERENT PSI'S! 32 front driver 34 front passenger 30 back passenger. AND 40 BACK DRIVER! 40!!!!! The exact same tire that was throwing chunks. Even the tech said "that may be why your tire is falling apart due to it being over inflated!" Finally had time to go to the original discount tire I always go to and asked them to take a look at my wheels and tires and to see if they need balancing. 3 techs came out to tell me, who's worked on my truck in the past and all 3 said exactly the same thing, "who did you have rotate your tires last because it wasn't us. Who did, took off your weights and f*d up your balance but we got it back to where it was." And once I hopped in the car and drove off, the drive was instantly different. Long story short. Lol. I'll never come back here again and make sure you double check everything that you've requested for them to do. I should have known also when I saw a few people drive off and come right back just to wait again to get their tires fixed. read more

What is the value to having an appointment if you have way over-scheduled the day? So what good is free tire rotation if you make it so hard to use it. I went to buy a full size tire and wheel for my town car. The only thing they had in my size was a fancy wheel so they offered a reduced price and I bought it. My wife had a flat about a week later and tried to use the spare. She found they gave us the wrong lug nuts and the standard nuts would not work. Took it back a few days latter and got the right nuts. The boy had a hard time putting on the wheel cover and a few days latter it had fallen off and disappeared. Good help is hard to find. Been taking my car to discount tire for new tires since I got my 2006 Nissan Altima. I had got the oil changed in my car a week ago, after which, I took my car for a tire rotation at another discount tire location (The previous set I had on was purchased from discount tire as well). Once they completed the rotation, they had told me my tires are down to 5/32 tread depth and that I would need new tires. The next day (Wednesday) I called this discount tire location to see if they had the tires I had chosen in stock (Yokohama Avid Touring S). Cody had told me they did not have it in stock, but they could order them and have them there the next day for a small down payment. I decided to go this route and also make an appointment for Monday, December 27th at 9am. December 27th rolls around and I head up to the store and arrived at 8.45 am. After checking in, I waited till 9.05 am before they pulled the car into the bay. At 9.30 am, the install was done and I was on my way. All in all, customer service at this location was excellent (As is other discount tire locations I have been to). Discount tire will continue to be my go to store for new and servicing my tires. read more

Extremely happy with my service here today. Made an appt online and went in early. They helped me right away. I had a tire that kept getting flat and apparently it was a slash which makes sense because I couldn't see a nail. Anyways picked out tires and me and my son went to canes for lunch. We returned and it was "done" but it wasn't. So, I came in early afternoon on a Saturday 8-10-24. Dustin K. was my service representative. I told him that I needed to have a rotation and balance. I've been a loyal Discount Tire customer for about 12 years or so. Maybe more. He knew that I was a Disabled Veteran through small talk. There wasn't much discussion about that. The current tires on my car came with the car. We went out to my car and he assessed the rotation needs. I received my text message after about 45 minutes, telling me that my rotation and balance was complete. When I tried to pay, Dustin told me it was taken care of. I thought I misunderstood him. Again: I told him I'm ready to pay. Again, he said we've got this . I'm not sure if this courtesy was because I'm a veteran or a long time customer, but either way, this is why I've continually come back to Discount Tire and have always recommended them. Long day at work in the 105 degree heat, stopped into the location at 21202 State Hwy 249 to get air in my 2 rear tires (slow leaks) Went to the air check line, only car there, waited about 10 minutes, no service, I saw an employee walk by with a customer, rolled my window down and asked if anyone was working this site. Very condescending, he said we will get to you when we can. Mind you CAN never came. After waiting 15 more minutes I'm really upset. I went inside and I told a gentleman I wanted to buy 4 new tires. His estimate for me came up to over $1000. I did that so he could put my phone # in the computer and see I'm a longtime customer. He asked me if it was for 1 of my 2 Mercedes, or my jeep. By this time about 25 minutes have passed, the young guy I stopped outside is walking behind the counter and is answering the phone, the cord came out of the phone and I heard him say your usual DISCOUNT TIRE this is MATHEW can I help you. I told the nice guy who waited on me that I don't want new tires I only wanted air and that I will never buy another tire from DT thanks to Mathew. I found a washer and screw in the back tire on my Corvette, so went by mid-day Thursday to see if they could patch it. They were very busy, and being a small business owner, my time was very limited, but they told me to come back in the morning before opening and they'd be able to get it fixed for me within a half hour. I was afraid with run-flat's, there wouldn't be an option to patch it, but they were able to without any issues! Not only were they extremely timely that following morning, but they saved the tire (less than 3k miles on them), patched it up beautifully, and didn't even charge for the repair! Went in for repeated tire light sign coming on and bad tire valve. I was not charged a dime! Wait time was much less compared to near downtown tomball. Robert was friendly and professional. Had to go back because light came back on. They took care of me right away. Henry one of the Serv tech communicated in a clear and timely manner.
