Had new left front axle replaced May 2024 on Subaru in Ossining location. Need new one now on exact same side. Shouldn't it last longer than this? Buyer beware!!! As a female entering a mechanic, many auto shops I have entered in the past have thought they can get over with multiple things needing replacement and high prices. In this place, it has been the total opposite experience for me. I must say that i have had several jobs performed on my vehicle and each time my vehicle has been worked on, it has been done within a good time frame, with professionalism and decent pricing. Should've read more reviews before coming to this dump. Don't come here if you're a woman by yourself because they will talk to you like you're stupid and try to scam you for more money. First, i go in with my groupon for an oil change. These guys te me its gonna be an extra $20 for my filter. This is obvious BS. I use groupon and i get oil changes regularly and they never try to make me pay for my filter. So i say whatever okay, just get my oil change done. Then they really pissed me off. These idiots took my tires off of my car and come to me telling me about my breaks and rotors. I dont care. Dont touch my car. I PAID FOR AN OIL CHANGE NOT A DIAGNOSTIC. What makes these guys think i wanna empty my pockets and hang out in your dirty waiting room all day? Do my oil change so i can get far away from this dump. I am so sick of having to be on alert and ready to argue with grown men when I need a basic service to my car. I've read the reviews too and I know these idiots are going to try and defend this as "service." Ew. You guys should be ashamed. In the waiting room i could hear them on the phone scamming other customers "oh theres a leak" "were gonna need to do this to it now." Gross. You make decent and honest mechanics look bad. read more

I had an **identical** experience of Maxina. You buy their discounted oil change on Groupon for $30 or so. Then you come in and they charge you $15 extra for a "Special Oil Filter". I have a 4 cylinder car that doesn't even taje the 5 full quarts of full synthetic oil. It's not special at all. Probably the most common car engine. Then they tried to upcharge me into getting brakes done. Something that on my car, which is hybrid electric and uses regenerative and engine braking, and usually takes many (not uncommon 50-75k) thousands of miles to wear them down. I got pressured into getting a wheel alignment for $90. If you do still decide to go here, especially if you got the Groupon discount, really watch out and take a look at your maintenance records before you go. Hopefully, you have them. I have mine in my car. Pause before you make the decision and don't bow to the pressure. Stand your ground. At the maximum, the wheel alignment was a waste of money. At minimum it was preventative maintenance no where near as urgently needed as the pressure I got suggested. No doubt, some people will read my experience and blame me (and others) for bowing to the pressure. And they have a point. But the reason so many people *hate* coming to the mechanic is exactly because they get put in a position where many of us can be taken advantage of. It happens at least as often as finding a mechanic that's honest. So watch out. read more

I've been coming to them for 4 years I came in with a Groupon and never left Javier is the best w customer service and really giving the best advice when it comes to my car and what I should do. As a female I'm always skeptical about people touching my car and feeling like mechanics try and take advantage of that but this has never been the case since I walked into their front door. Unfortunately I took my car here for an alignment and an oil change, which turned into a nightmare. The work they did was so poor, that I had to pay another shop $600 just to fix their mistakes. Here's the details: I had tires installed from a different garage that didn't do alignment. The car went straight, but I took it in to discount tire to be aligned anyway. Just for due diligence. I also asked to have the oil done with a synthetic blend, as I always do. After three hours (when the original estimated time was an hour) I got my car back pulling hard to the left. I returned and discount tire said they could not align the tires unless I had new struts and camber arms, even though when I gave them the car it went straight. After a couple months of them attempting to fix the alignment on my days off, I gave in, ordered the parts and had them installed. The car still pulled to the left, but I was too exhausted to deal with them anymore and gave up. That, and my "90 day alignment warranty" had now passed. Fast forward to today, 6 months later, the front end was squeaking and rattling terribly. I took the car to the dealer I purchased it from and was notified that the new struts were not fully tightened to the frame and had come loose (hence the hard rattle and squeaking sounds) and the the ball joints on the camber arms were used ball joints -much older than six months as the rubber had been completely cracked and dried out, and the joints were obviously old. My dealer saved the parts and showed me after he finished repairing discount tires mistakes, and also informed me that the after market camber arms that discount tire said I needed were in fact unnecessary in the first place. He replaced them with OEM camber arms and was able to align the car himself. The new parts and labor were $600 to fix their mistakes Morale of the story: stay away from Discount Tire. :( Edit: I forgot to add that a day or two after the oil change, the car started idling very rough. I had the oil changed again at my actual dealer and afterword it idled perfectly. Not too sure what discount tire did to my oil, but suffice it to say I won't be going back there and will steer people away -enough to even write a bad review of my experience there. read more

Stopped in a few weeks ago to get a price on tires and an oil change. The guys at the counter were very informative and took their time to help me find the right tire for my 2015 2500 pickup. The price was right and they got it done fast and right. The owner even called me later that day to make sure I was happy with my purchase and to make sure everything was fine. Who does that? Happy to say I went back today to get my wife's car aligned and was in and out in no time. ( helps when you call ahead). Thanks again guys! read more
