Why didn't he tell me that before I was given the price and then asked him about the coupon. Anyway, they nickel and dime you to death. It's the principle of the matter. I'm not stupid Express Oil. The manager, Brad, called, explained the situation, and offered a service voucher to help make things right. He was professional and respectful on the call, and I appreciate that they addressed my concerns quickly. While the price difference wasn't completely refunded, I'm satisfied with the response and their effort to resolve the issue. Overcharged and pressured for repairs I never requested I went to Mavis Tires & Brakes in Daphne, AL for a basic tire and oil service after being quoted $321 "out the door." When I picked up my vehicle, the bill was over $100 higher than the quote. Staff blamed a "call center mistake" but refused to honor the original price. They also printed a repair estimate for nearly $5,000 worth of additional work that I never asked for, claiming someone had "verbally authorized" it -- which was completely untrue. On top of that, parts of the job were incomplete when I got the vehicle back. They didn't put spare tire back under my vehicle like I asked and no oil change sticker was applied or updated. I've contacted Mavis corporate about the overcharge and false authorization, and I've filed a complaint with the Alabama Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. Be careful here !! You might be paying for more than you get!!!
