I will only go to Discount Tire for new tires now. Paid ~$70 for a new tire. No upsells, no warranty, no extra crap. The warranty is $6 and a pretty decent price when most places charge $10. I don't need it. The tire was pretty decent price too. I was quoted $100 to $110 for other places. I schedule a appointment and got out in a hour. There is a Zaxby's nearby so I walked over for a snack. There's free coffee. Would I come here again? Yea. It's a further drive for me but I'm willing to go the distance to save $30. read more

I used to spend a few hours calling around shops and going online until I finally realized that this place ALWAYS has the best prices! I have purchased tires for at least four different vehicles, and Discount Tire has always given me the best deal. I highly recommend the warranty and road hazard, which includes free tire rotations which are done quickly with zero hassle. I have had no less than four nails removed and repaired in the last 4-5 months, again, with no grief. Discount Tire ONLY does tires, so it makes the whole process a lot easier. Today I got up at 8 o'clock and arrive to the shop at nine to get two new tires for my car. Cody was my sales professional and was very informative and kind. Explain thoroughly the important points of tire life and replacement. Once I determined which tire I wanted to buy, price being very important, we sealed the deal and he advised me that it will take roughly about two hours, I expected that. I must say the customer service has always exceeded expectations. This morning I was a walk-in as I have a valve emergency. I was advised for my safety and the safety of others on the road what to do. What I love about this all is Cody did not up sell me or put a temporary fix to the problem but rather rather and provide alternative solutions if they could not repair it today. Far better than the dealership on my last visit. Even during the pandemic the employees are doing their best to service everyone. *Note...make an appointment if you want to be serviced as a priority. The walk -in wait is pretty long which is understandable during these times. If you are ordering items online and making an appointment please be aware that inventories may not reflect what's in stock as deliveries and all have been effected by the quarantine. I sat and heard many customers complaining and the employees fielding each one all while the phones are constantly ringing. I simply want to advise everyone to be patient during these times. Many have not moved their car much in weeks (like myself) and little things pop up. Everyone has emergencies at this point. Be patient and be early if not on time for your appointment. I have sat here long enough to see every customer, service request, heard everyone's emergency, etc...the employees here are always doing they bet they can to meet and exceed expectations to service every customer that comes in. Some leaving because they were upset that they could not be guaranteed a time for pick up. This is definitely one of my two go to places for tires. When you drive up and go in the lobby, it always seems like a great flurry of activity, and appears to be crowded, which it can be at times however, he work through the work very quick and efficiently will actually tell you the estimated wait time with accuracy when you make your purchase. They are very good at ordering whichever tires are not in stock for next day delivery. Your service advisor will always let you know if there's a special offer or discount from the manufacturer. The best part is you can actually purchase the tires online and make an appointment online and if so, your wait time will be at least 30% less. I think they've measured that. Overall, Discount Tire is probably the most trustMworthy vehicle related business I've ever come across. Whenever I am in a jam with a busted tire. I can count on Discount Tire to help me find a quick solution. They will even lend you a similar tire to use until your order comes in, if you need it, Leslie, they have some thing they call certificates. If you buy a certificate for about 20 something dollars for each Tire it's basically like a replacement plan. If anything goes wrong with your tire, due to road hazard, they will replace it. I arrived promptly at my appointed 4pm time only to find a line of people out the door. Who knew that the day before Thanksgiving was the black Friday of tire buying. When I finally made it to the counter 15 minutes later my expectations, of a positive experience, weren't that great. Then I was informed that the tires I had purchased online were not in stock. But before I could utter an expletive, I was told that I would be upgraded with better tires. I was also skeptical when I was told that I would be out the door within an hour. They kindly listen to all the ridiculous questions you inevitably ask when needing to spend money. The work is done right and they give you good advice on what tires to buy. I highly recommend purchasing their Tire Certificates for all the tires on all your cars. No matter what stupid thing you do (run into the curb and blow your tire, run over a nail and develop a bad leak, etc etc) ... if you have one of these certificates on that tire -- they will happily fix or replace it. If you have tire problems, this place is it! I have finally found MY tire place! The excellent service started right when I called them over the phone to check stock of my tire (which they had plenty of- most places have to special order usually) and to schedule an appointment! They fit me in for an appt literally 3 hours later! (I called at 1:30pm after work and they scheduled me for 4:30pm). I was so impressed with how quickly they could get me an appt. Impressed but still slightly concerned that maybe this was a trap and that they just weren't good enough to be "busy"... definitely not the case! When I arrived at 4:30, they had around 7 people waiting but the waiting area is huge. The representative that helped me was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and patient! (Especially when I had to search for my special tire key/lock thing for like 15 minutes lol) BEST OF ALL? I was in and out in 30 minutes. This is absolutely unheard of!!!! Overall a really great experience at Discount Tire in Chamblee. This location is clean and easily visible from the highway. We came due to my wife having her back tire blown out and I had previously had servicing on one of my tires done at an alternate Discount Tire location and had a pleasant experience. In-and-out in less then fifteen minutes, with clear, transparent, and honest pricing. The gentleman who helped us indicated that they would give us a call once the installation was complete, however we never received a call and I had to call a few times to confirm when it was done. Whenever I have a tire problem, I come here or go to Costco. Whichever is the least busiest, haha. Parking - uhm... I feel like I come at off times, so I usually find a spot. Parking is OK, they do have several spots but I feel like if it's a peak time, it may be harder. The first time I came here, I miraculously found a same day appt at like 5pm. I only waited like 30 to 40 mins to get my car done. I had to patch my tire. Wait wasn't bad at all - I was expecting 1 hour wait. Today, I came in as a walk in for the same problem as above. Needed a new single tire after some road damage. Their online appointment scheduling and shopping was a breeze. I arrived at my appointment and was quickly checked-in. It took about 2 hours total, which was reasonable given how busy they were. Only thing I would comment on that could be improved is I never received a call that my car was ready. I had my car stuck with Mavis for 3 days after they told me it would take 4 hours due to parts and mis-deliveries. I told them not to even worry about my tires. I called Discount Tire and talked with Calvin. They ordered my tires and called me when they came in. I came in, everyone was professional, courteous, and working. Everything was quick and efficient. They even sent me a link to tell me the status of my car. I was in and out in less than an hour! They were even able to turn off my TPMS light. Very, very happy with my first experience here. I found P&G on Yelp and chose to give it a try because of the reviews. And I did NOT want to use a place like Mavis Tired. I had two blown tires due to an incident on the road, and was expecting to have to replace a wheel also. I got two tires, the wheel rim fixed, and tires rotated. I had left the car to pick it up later, and when I returned the owner told me he noticed that the tire with the repaired rim had been leaking so it took it off and worked on it more and that it was fine now. Today, I took my car to discount tire on Holcomb Bridge Road in Alpharetta, GA because I had a nail in my back passenger side tire. I had replaced this tire a year ago in May and I had put approximately 16,000 miles on it since then. It has a 60000 mile warranty. Due to the wear on the outside of the tire, they would not repair the tire and they also said that due since the outer edge wear indicated a mechanical problem I needed to replace the tire. They also determined I needed two new front tires. When asked if I'd get any credit toward the purchase of the back tire they said no due to it being a mechanical issue. I was willing to buy the tires, but felt strongly that some credit was warranted and when none was forthcoming, I decided to take my business elsewhere. read more
