I had to take my vehicle in three different times along with the low priority wait for a simple tire rotation and tire pressure sensor. They sent me home in an unsafe condition because I discovered that they had stripped a stud for the tire nut and another one not tightened. I bought a used 4Runner a few months ago and ever since then the TPMS light has been on. I was afraid I needed new sensors or that I'd have to go to the dealer for some expensive TPMS repair, but I came to Discount Tire and they simply recalibrated the sensors for me and the light turned off. No charge, even on a busy Saturday morning. I also needed an alignment but that's not a service they provide so they referred me to Master Muffler where I received more great service. Usually the word "discount" in a product or service means you'll receive crap treatment or an inferior product in exchange for saving a few bucks, but I received the same level of customer-focused service as I get from other competitors who charge much more. It may have just been one minor service, but it was a good experience and I will remember Discount Tire when it comes time to get new tires for my new-to-me 4Runner. read more

Have always been happy with the service at these stores. They are fast, courteous and informative. We just moved to Bountiful last year and I think this store is even better than the service I received at the South Lake store. I would highly recommend them. I have never had a bad experience at a discount tire store and this one did not disappoint. Had a nail in a tire they fixed it no charge no questions asked. The next day I noticed the center cap missing went in to see if they had forgot to put it on (though I swear it was there) they couldn't find it but the manager Adam ordered me a new one at no charge stating "if it fell off after we worked on it we clearly didn't get it on right." I have been a customer for the last 10 years... I wavered 1 year and bought tires through Costco. I later regretted that and went back to Discount. They are friendly, helpful, and have good prices. I never fear them screwing me over. The only complaint I have is that they often take longer than they say. I don't mind waiting but I'd rather know that it's going to be 2 hours and not 40 minutes. read more

Leave Discount Tire Bountiful go to Costco, same price and they honor the warranty. Look at the frequent reviews on the DT website... too frequent meaning I think the website reviews are fabricated. For example on Yelp (possibly most popular review site) they average one review every 5 months, on their website they sometimes get 2 reviews in the same day. I tried to leave a review on their website and you can't leave one you can just read other reviews. Bought Michelin tires with 70k mile warranty, they're dead at 35k and Discount Tire Bountiful says the warranty isn't valid because of uneven wear. I spent more on Michelin to get a higher mileage warranty, 50% tire life and my warranty is void. Between my family and my parents 7 sets of tires purchased from DT Bountiful, I'm now moving to Costco (you should too). I should get tires rotated more frequently, I average 10k miles and they suggest 5k. Yes, I know that would help and I'll plan on that from now on. What they don't do at their shop is tell you there's a problem. All 4 tires have weird wear patterns, had their guys told me they noticed something sooner I could have got an alignment and had them rotated more frequently which would have extended the wear. I had an alignment done when I bought the tires, they should have lasted longer. read more

A female employee almost ran over my mom in the parking lot and then proceeded to almost hit us in the car I was riding in TWICE with my 2 year old in the back seat all while driving a customers car. I spoke to the manager and he basically just shrugged me off. The blatant disregard of the situation and for the safety of the customer and for the protection of the vehicle you've handed over to them in good confidence to be safe while getting your tires put on was outrageous! I grew up with my dad telling me that another national brand was the ONLY place to go for tires and service. And I stuck with that. Until yesterday. I was so disappointed in my experience there. Not what I have had over the past 20 years. After a VERY crappy experience at the competitor across the street, we went to Discount to price out 4 new wheels and tires. I wish I remembered the guy's name but he was fantastic. We ended up with better wheels and tires than what we had priced across the street. We were also offered a loaner tire for our SUV until our wheels came in since our old tire was shot. I have never had that happen at a tire store before. I have been loyal customer for decades but not any more. I went there for a simple rotation and to replace a tire pressure sensor. I was very clear and I showed the guy the tire AND the computer graphic. I waited over two hours and they informed me the other sensor mysteriously went out! Actually they replaced the wrong one and I had to go back the next day and do the usual low priority wait to get it replaced. After I got home I discovered one of the lug nuts was not tight and another one was missing because the stud was stripped! I went back again and I was informed they could not repair it and gave me a voucher to a repair shop. So if you have time to make four trips for a rotation, just to have your car in an unsafe condition and go somewhere else to fix it right, I would advise against this place. they did not seem to care. read more

I am couple days late but wanted to share feedback. Had to take our 2006 Nissan Sentra to get our tires checked out because we was getting a lot of bounce on freeway. I took it on Monday 12/26/16 but called before we took it to make an appointment and to ask what we needed to do. The gentleman that answered was very helpful and said we will check it out before we charge you because it may be snow pack. We made appointment and when we showed up we had a not so friendly person check us in. I asked if we had to get charged even if tires were not needing to be balanced and he said yes. I thought it was weird that he charged us upfront also when we never pay upfront we pay after when we pick up. Anyways we paid upfront $10 a tire and we did all 4. Well when we picked it up a different person helped and he was like not sure why we balanced tires but we did anyway because you had already paid. We was like well we was told by who checked us in we had to pay upfront. Anyways I just feel like we may not have needed to pay for all 4 tires to be balanced if it was not even needed. I feel like there was some shady business going on there. I have gotten plenty of tires from them in the past and now will go elsewhere because of this experience. **I also did not get a call from store associates when car was done we called 2 hours after our 1:00pm appointment time to see if it was ready and it was. It was not the $40 plus tax we shelled out it's the fact that they was not on the same page when it came to what we was told but also the surprise in the person who helped us at pick up of not knowing why they even balanced the tires as to say we didn't even need to like I previously mentioned** read more

Terrible customer service. This shop is run by a bunch of ethically devoid sales jockeys. I had a flat tire the day after a heavy snow storm. I took the tire off and brought it into Discount Tire using my wife's car. The individual at the front desk (Steve) looked at the tire and said he'd call me in 2.5 hours to tell me if they could patch it. He also told me that I should just buy four new tires - even though he was looking at only one of them and that one had plenty of tread left. I told him that I wasn't interested in his sales strategy. I called 4 hours later from work and found out that they had looked at it, but they said they couldn't patch it because the leak was too close to the side-wall. I asked why they hadn't called me at the 2.5 hour mark as promised. He said the shop was busy but he could sell me four new tires and get me taken care of today (REALLY?!?). I left work and when I got there, the shop was indeed busy with people getting their snow tires on. I asked the same person for my tire and he gave it to me un-mounted. It was close to closing time, so I just resolved to patch and remount the tire myself. When I got home with the tire/wheel and started mounting it, I found that Discount Tire had taken the valve stem core out. That meant I couldn't do anything except place the patch until I got a replacement core. I think it's worth noting that the patch went on centered and without coming close to the rounded edge of the side wall. I went back in the next morning and got them to reinstall a stem core, remount the tire, and give it back to me the same way that I gave it to them (the way they should have returned it in the first place). I then went across the street to Les-Schwab and asked them to inflate the tire and install it onto my truck. Les-Schwab didn't charge me a dime. The patch held and the entire repair cost me $4 for the patch kit. Discount Tire cost me 24 hours of my life and therapist level anxiety. I'm no rocket surgeon, but I assume that it wouldn't take much to prioritize a 5 minute patch job above multiple wheel changes to get one more person quickly out of their queue. Discount Tire tried to sell me new tires that I didn't need twice on one of their busiest days without ever looking at my truck or three of my four tires. I'm fairly tolerant when it comes to people, because I know that human nature is terrible as a rule. However, I cannot tolerate when people try to take advantage of other people when they're in a bind. I will never use Discount Tire again and I will strongly suggest at any time that no one I know go there either. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Adam and his crew at the Bountiful Discount Tire location. I have been going to the Bountiful location for years. One time they made a mistake that caused damage to my vehicle. After my mechanic brought it to my attention, I brought the matter to Adam. He promised me that they would make it right for me. I had the work done at my mechanic and gave copies of the invoices to Adam for reimbursement. I was expecting delays and hassle. What I got was a check for the full amount in less than a week. What Adam, and Discount Tire got was a customer for life. I did not think that any one in the business world cared about their customers any more. I am soo happy to report that Discount Tire has proved me wrong! read more

Bought tires here a couple of weeks ago. To start, I was impressed that when I called asking for details about some tires and a quote that he stayed on the phone with me as long as he did, never rushing through helping me understand the tires. I didn't get this kind of service when I called competitors and the quotes were higher elsewhere. Then when he went to schedule an appt for me, he noticed that I had previously purchased my tires from Discount Tires and that my current tires might still be under warranty! When I came into the store, I was helped immediately and they told me that I could get over $35 per tire for my old tires since they were still under warranty. I was so happy that they took the time to notice this and save me money. I had no idea that they were under warranty. I will definitely come back because I felt that they took the time to help me pick out the right tires for my vehicle in my price range and they helped me save a lot of money in the process!
