My daughter went in with a flat. Service advisor said can't repair tire because too many other previous patches. ( this was a fairly new tire). Said to buy two new tires instead. She took vehicle to a different tire shop and they immediately repaired flat tire and showed her where there was no previous patches to the that flat tire. She was on her way in 25 minutes with no charge'. They were apparently trying to scam an unsuspecting woman into buying tires that were not needed. Female shoppers beware! read more

Need two new front tires ASAP. It started with heavy rain yesterday and sliding all over the road going home from work. So I called Discount Tire this morning when I got off work and told the Rep my situation and asked when was a good time to come in since they were busy. He told me it sounded like I needed tires right now. So even though they were busy he said come in and he would find time to get tires on my car and get me out as soon as possible. I've been using Discount Tire for a few years. I've always scheduled an appointment to save on time but half the time the appointment time really doesn't matter. For instance, I scheduled an appointment at 10:15 and arrived at the store at 9:55 now its past my appointment time and my car isn't in the bay. I've had to wait 30-40mins on average after my scheduled appointment time. Its frustrating. I wish if you scheduled an appointment you'd just pull right on in but that's not the case. read more

My mom had a flat tire as we left the nearby swimming pool while on a trip to visit cousins. She called AAA and got the spare put on and drove straight to discount tire knowing she needed a new tire before our trip home. She arrived at 4.50, the guys were so nice and helpful. They inspected all tires, helped determine that she needed a whole new set, and had them on and she was back going about her business within 15 min! Literally drove away at 5:05!!! I was there within 5 mins and was out the door no more than 15 minutes after I arrived. The staff was welcoming and friendly, professional and efficient. Never had an issue with any Discount tire (company) prior to this review. I would have to say usually the service they provide is top notch, quick, and best prices around. That being said, for my first time at this location I thought that reputation would continue... I went in for a slow leak on one of the tires, expecting to just get a patch job and call it a day, but was prepared to buy a new tire if slow leak was not able to be patched. Went across the street to grab a bite, came back in less than an hour and boom service done, great!!! As I went to pay they said they provide FREE tire repairs, even greater!!! I went to grab cash to tip but quickly realized I didn't have any cash on me. When I drove off, I realized there was still low air pressure (tire sensor) in the tire I originally came in to get repaired. No big deal, I drove back to the shop and asked the gentleman at the counter "hey bud did you guys put air in the tire after fixing", his response was "just keep driving and it will go away". Now knowing that statement maybe true for some vehicles, it is not true for all vehicles. I have a Mercedes and when air is put in the tire the TPMS sensor will go away immediately. The reason I know is because I was a general service technician at Tires Plus many years ago. Anyways, I drove off again going just over 1 mile and a half to prove this gentleman was wrong. I came back to the shop and said "c'mon guys, I'm having the same issue, did you put air in the tire or not". The manager (GM) of the store walked outside with the gentleman and myself to check the issue. As we walked outside I said to the manager "I would have rather paid to get the service done right the first time, than to f****** get it for free and not done right at all". Here's where it gets interesting, the manager all of a sudden plays the victim because I used profane language, disregarding the fact that I just drove to his shop that he's in charge of 3 times for the same issue (first time for repair, 2 more times because issue was not taken care of). Then he states "I don't know what society you live in, but the customer is not always right, you can't talk to me that way". Seriously, at no point was I implying customer is always right, just merely pointing out the fact that you guys didn't do something you said was done. Could I have approached the situation differently? Yes, but now my personal time is being affected for something as simple as putting air in a tire after repair. I mean they are Discount Tire right, where they specialize in changing, rotating, and fixing tires. I believe putting air in a tire is part of that process. Finally, they pulled my car in the shop and adjusted air in 3 tires and filled the tire that I originally came in to get repaired. Guess what happened, the tire sensor light disappeared because there was the correct amount of air in the tire. Looks like the customer was right this time MR. GM (manager)! I sent my 18-year-old daughter in to get a flat fixed, instead of fixing the flat they convinced an 18 year old girl that her tire needs to be replaced. Since I knew it didn't I went back up there I got the tire took it to another tire shop and they patched it and said it was good to go, discount tire asked me what they could do to make it right and I said take the tire back and purchase tire like you were originally ask but of course they couldn't do that since now the tire they put on my daughters car is used. I do not recommend them unless you're smart enough to know when a salesman is lying to you! read more

I always have good luck with finding good price, impeccable services and knowledgeable staff here. Ordered a set of tires here and before I could even chance the tires, the car for totaled. Called up the place and they were so gracious to have me exchange the tires to a differently new set of 4 and allowed me to store those tires in there garage. Blew a tire the night before and planned on buying new tires at Walmart since I was planning on getting my shopping done at the same time, but the prices for a full set for my car was a little surprising, plus the added mounting fees and the 1.5 to 2 hour wait was a bit much. Read the reviews about Discount Tire and decided to drive over (very close to Walmart). Got a set of 4 tires mounted in less than 30 minutes, saved a little money and saved a lot of time.
