I took my truck to the shop a few weeks ago told them there was a squeaky noise, when I spoke with…read morethem on the phone they stated they would look at it free of charge. They call me tell me the noise that I was hearing was from my big tires on my truck and charge me for a tire rotation, which I never agreed for them to do. I get to the shop asked them if they would ride with me to hear the noise I was originally talking about. To their surprise, they heard the noise I was originally referring to.I tell them what I think it might be and I left the truck with them to look at it again. I've attached the estimate they gave me to fix what "the issue was". My husband looks at it because he said there's no way that noise could be from what they stated. And what did he find out, sure enough all it was was broken brake clips. This cost me roughly $12 I think to replace. The whole point to this post is to say, wait let your husband look at it or you can just take it to the shop like I did get charged for something it didn't need and then get lied to about an expensive unnecessary repair. Also,I've learned that even though this is 2024 we are still in the 1900s Era where men think women don't know crap.

I admit that I had pretty low expectations regarding Discount Tire in Fayetteville, Arkansas -- in…read morelarge degree soley due to its name. (I avoid shopping anywhere that has the word "discount" in its name; it usually means cheap, shoddy, made-in-China goods.) However I had been unable to find ANY tires anywhere that fit my Toyota FJ Cruiser "Trail Teams" special edition, until I checked with them. The Discount Tire service manager with whom I dealt, Justin, was extraordinarily helpful, and clearly possessed remarkable expertise when it came to tires. The only reason I didn't give them all five stars is because, after they had mounted the tires and were handing me back the keys to drive home, it turned out that they had forgotten to perform the alignment I had already paid for. (One pays ahead for the alignment, and then that cost is refunded if it turns out that it's not needed -- which is fine -- but my rig definitely needed it, and they simply forgot about it.) That meant that I had to "get back in line" for a car lift to open up in their shop, and they were VERY busy and crowded the day I was there, so I had to wait an extra half-hour. No big deal, but they just need to be more careful about such things. I highly recommend Discount Tire without reservation.

I said the other guy said 99.99 which he responded "they did an extra 30 minutes on the back tire because it was tight". I refused to pay because that was a COMPLETE LIE AND NOT WHAT I WAS TOLD. The place is a bit outdated and a little dirty. But, it is a tire shop. So that is ok. I walked up to the counter to talk to the man behind it. He was on the phone, so I can wait. But, he never acknowledged me. Never looked my direction. Never gave me a "one second" finger. Never said, "I'll be right with you." I got nothing. So, I stood there for almost 10mins. He kept talking on the phone (to what sounded like a customer, so he was doing his job). But, again, I am standing in front of him and nothing! So I left. I cannot comment on anything else because this was my only (non)interaction. I am sure they do their tire job well, but this was an unfortunate experience. I don't plan on returning, esp. because I know there is another tire shop 3mins away (Plaza Tire Service, whom I did go to and did excellent). So, nothing personal. Just a bad experience.

We took it back to Firestone and they said the mechanic forgot to balance the tires. It was done, but the car kept shaking. They charged us $40 and the car handled perfectly after they fixed it. This is the second time we went to Brad's, thinking we needed new brakes. They inspected and cleaned the brakes, saying they didn't need replacement but just a cleaning. We didn't realize our tires lost a lot of tread and needed replacement (we drive a lot). We had them replaced and were extremely pleased with the friendly service, competent repairmen, and quality of the new tires purchased. Plus, it didn't take as long as we expected.
