While driving back back to Texas from Little Rock, I had an issue with the tire pressure in my vehicle because one of the sensors was not working. Therefore, I wasn't sure if I had adequate tire pressure. The service technician at discount tire was responsive to making sure all my tires were properly inflated and took the time to explain how the tire sensors work and when they typically malfunction, I am grateful for his assistance with a 500 mile trip ahead of me. He provided piece of mind that I did not have a leak in one of my tires and that it was safe to drive. read more

I don't understand what has happened to Discount tire! They now resort to utilizing "gate keeping" tactics to extort more money in order to upsell services and products not required. I had need to replace a tire on the wife's car due to a major pot hole which ruined one of the tires and so visited the discount tire store in Benton, AR. Not only did the pothole take out the tire, but cracked the wheel as well. I bought a replacement wheel and needed a new tire for the replacement wheel. I also needed to replace the TPMS sensors on all four wheels as they were no longer working. They decided that one of the three undamaged tires mandated replacement due to excess wear on the outer edge and that they wouldn't replace the TPMS sensor for that tire without replacing the tire too. I told them that I wasn't going to pay for an unneeded tire and would take my business elsewhere. I drove to another local tire store and got all of the work done, minus the extra tire extortion fee. Local store also agreed that there was no need to replace the tire discount tire had deemed bad. I don't take kindly to extortion business tactics. I had been a long time discount tire customer up until this, but will never set foot inside another of their stores going forward! You can also bet that I will be sharing my experience with all within my orbit. Unless you just have money in abundance, avoid this store. This is the second time at this store I've been told what I "will" pay for vs what I was willing to pay. read more

The customer service is HORRIBLE. I called on a Friday morning needing someone to switch my spare with a current tire that had a nail in it, the guys said come on out, no appointment needed. I showed up at 3pm for them to tell me it would be a 3 hour rate, so I made an appointment for Saturday. I informed the guy making the appointment of the year model and what I was needing. On Saturday I show up to my appointment for them to tell me they cant touch my tires because they are over 10 years old. Why didnt the guy on Friday tell me that???? read more

Not a happy camper here! When I needed a new tire, they were very helpful in getting it ordered and mounted (because they were making money on me!). However, during this process they damaged the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) on this tire. I didn't notice it at first because I don't drive a lot--I work at home. When I did notice it, I called them. They had me come by, and they confirmed it was not showing the correct pressure. However, instead of offering to fix it--when they broke it (everything was perfect before they mounted the new tire)--they said they would "look at it and see if it was broken." OF COURSE IT'S BROKEN...IT HAS BEEN STUCK ON 35 PSI SINCE IT WAS MOUNTED. They gave me the poor excuse of, "Well, we've heard they can glitch." Nooo, you should fix what you broke. I paid more at Discount Tire than the dealer wanted for my tire because I thought they were nice guys who would back up their work. I was WRONG. I bought tire insurance, and if I ever need a replacement, I'll go back due to that policy. But, I will never go back for anything else. read more

Went in for a simple alignment. Issues started as soon as we walked in. No hi, thanks for coming in or we will be with you in a moment. Line was long, people were leaving. I was third in the wait line, and after 20 minutes, it was my turn. Advised that I needed an alignment on my jeep. We go outside, get half way to it, and then the employee says, we dont have anyone scheduled who can do alignments today, have to come back another day. Nope not coming back. read more

I had the best experience here. I took my car here because I had a flat tire. My go to place was closed because of COVID-19 and I wasn't sure where to take my car. I did a location search and recognized the sign. I saw that they received good ratings and I learned why. BEFORE MY VISIT I was able to schedule my visit online. The website was amazing. I entered my make/model and received a tire recommendation. I was able to see details for each tire such performance and mileage, and cost. The site was extremely mobile friendly. MY VISIT - CHECK IN The check was great. The checker was friendly and knowledgeable. My car received a ticket that was used by the salesperson who rang up my services. When selecting my tire I saw the same details as I saw in the website and these things were covered by the salesperson. In the end I was provided an estimated wait time. MY VISIT - SERVICE PROCESS Because of COVID I was able to sit in my car until it was ready to be pulled into a bin. The specialist came up and told me which bin to pull in to. I then left and sat in the waiting area. The area was VERY spaced out and comfortable. My car was serviced faster than I think I've ever had it done (one tire was being replaced). When it was ready, i was escorted to the bin and I pulled my car out and left. When I tell you, everyone was friendly?! These are professionals. They have their process together! Well it's apparent that they have a lug nut program going on. So when I walked in first thing you noticed was at each computer station there was a magnet strip full of damaged lug nuts. I had ordered tires and had an appointment so got setup and the sales rep went outside to do his inspection as I went to sit in the waiting room. Wouldn't you know here he comes back with a problem with my lug nuts, said they were swollen. He asked do you know much about lug nuts I laughed and said actually I know a lot about my lug nuts as I'm the only person who rotates my tires and torques them back down. He then proceeded to say he couldn't install the tires unless I purchased new lug nuts. I already knew it was a sales gimmick so I said cancel the install and I'll take my tires somewhere else. so I took them to a real tire shop and had them installed with no issues imagine that. My guess is they under cut all the other tire shops on tire prices but then they make up the difference once you have them installed by finding a defect. So do yourself a favor just Go and support a local tire shop like I should have in the first place the price would've been the same after I purchased new lug nuts so discount tire could do the job. Normally I have had great service here. I had metal in my tire. There were no cars in the bays. Employee said "your here at a great time. We will get you right in" and hour later after several people came in I was still waiting. I went up to ask and was told " I had some appointments that came in so we went ahead before you" how much longer will it be before you get to me? " maybe we can get you in about 45 minutes to an hour". I understand if people make appointments and I understand you're making more money off putting on new tires that you are fixing the metal in my tire so I can drive and not have a flat. Excellent Customer Service I brought my Mercedes in due to a low pressure reading, most gas stations air pressure machine will not work when adding air to these tires. I walked in and was greeted and they introduced themselves and asked how could they help me. They checked all four tires as a courtesy although only one tire was low. When I got there they had the drive blocked and traffic coned. A young boy came out with a smart device. I asked him,"Are you going to take down a bunch of information and then tell me that you'll text me when it's my turn to talk to you?" "Yes". I told him," never mind then. I'll buy my tires at a store I can go into.'" Started to drive off, he told me,"We don't want your business either." That sent me into the store where I told them," You might want to train your people in customer service. I wasn't rude to your people, I just don't agree with the way you're handling your sales right now. You would have lost today's sale, but I would've been back on a future sale(s). That comment insured that I will not spend another dime in a discount tire. They really didn't care. I'll spend my money with people that want and need my business. Not people that think they're doing me a favor by deigning to do business with me.
