On 22 December 2025 I helped a young woman with a flat tire and no money. We got her a new tire at Discount Tire and left. As they put the new tire on, they found another tire in very dangerous condition. She still didn't have the money, and was going to chance it for 6 days until she got paid. Instead, the good people at this business put a tire on for free. I'm amazed at their generosity. They made me a big fan, and I'll be going back for my cars tires. read more

The sales people here either don't know what they're talking about, or they don't care and are just trying to sell you stuff that you don't need. Had a small leak in my right rear tire when I brought my truck in for a tire rotation and balance. Bought the tires from them and had them mounted there less than a year ago. This past week they tried selling me a new set of wheels and tires because they said the leak was due to "corrosion" where the bead of the tire seals against the wheel. I have aluminum wheels on my truck and because I have worked with metal most of my life, I know that aluminum doesn't corrode. Sales guy couldn't even look me in the eye when he was trying to feed me this nonsense. The issue was something had adhered to the inside surface of my wheel where the tire seals against it and was causing the tire to have a slow leak. I told him to take a wire wheel to it to clean it and the tire would seal. Even after explaining this to two of the sales people they tried telling me that my factory wheels were chrome plated and it was going to get worse over time. Told me it was common with those wheels. That doesn't even make sense. A factory polished aluminum wheel that's chrome plated?! What?! The wheels themselves are even partially painted...paint doesn't stick to chrome. I feel bad for people who don't know anything about this stuff who take their vehicles to these kinds of places. Also, it's been almost a week and my tire isn't leaking anymore. The more you know...the less you pay. The less you know...the more you pay. Makes me sick to think some elderly person on a fixed income could come in here and be sold something they don't need all in the name of sales and putting money in their pockets. If you don't know your head from a hole in the wall when it comes to this type of stuff, do yourself a favor and find a place that actually cares about the customer. Easier said than done these days, but worth it I say to spend a little time doing that to save some money in these trying times. read more

I was loosing air in my left front tire so I stopped by for an air check. Come to find out I had a nail in the sidewall. I purchased these tires in summer but luckily bought the insurance. I've been here for an 1:45 minutes. Be prepared to wait. They're extremely busy every time I have stopped by. I've tried to get my tires rotated for three times now. Each time there is at least 1:45-2+hr wait. I definitely had to wait today as I have a flat tire that needs repaired. Honestly, this is the first and last time I'd buy tires from this place. Bought tire from several places (Tire Discounters, Firestone, and even Dealers) They're not this slow. Remember, everyone WILL price match tires now a day. These guys just "slap" tires on. You'll never get your tires balanced, rotated, or even repaired in an efficient time frame. Just get the price from them and go elsewhere. read more

"Ah I see you just purchase tires last month, those are looking pretty worn down, we should probably get you into a new set up as soon as possible"..... every visit like clockwork, even if you're going in for a simple flat repair or rotation service. This company used to be one of the best around from a service standpoint, but now it's a sleazy sales pitch at every opportunity. And fellas, just know if you send your wife or daughter in there, they will be treated as if they know nothing about tires and wheels and they will definitely attempt to take advantage of that. Our family has purchased dozens of tires because of service and availability, but once these last certificates run out, we will be headed back to one of the small guys that has pride in keeping our business. read more

Went to another tire shop that I purchased my tires from they said they could get my tire fixed on my way to work. When I arrived they said they couldn't do the job even though I called. In comes discount tire, I called and they said stop by on your way we can get you turned around quick PLUS tire repair is free even if you didn't buy your tires from us (this was a simple nail in the main tread and was repairable). I arrived and they were slammed busy, the sales guy figured out what I needed got me on the wait list and said it would be less than 30 minutes. Holy cow, I don't know how they did it. They got me on the road in the time given. They definitely brightened my day and I will be using them for all my future tire needs. read more

I was charged four "dismounting" and "mounting" charges for a two tire install. They did offer a "free" tire rotation, which I accepted. Apparently, the rotation is free but removing the tires and rolling them to the rear of the car is 16 dollars a wheel (8 bucks to mount and 8 to dismount). The work that I paid the store to perform was quality, but on examining my bill I paid for services that make no sense for 2 tires/or were not fully explained. If they'd explained this upcharge I'd have denied it. read more

I've been looking for a good reliable tire shop. I restore vehicles and between trailers and cars I seem to go through a lot of tires every year. These guys were great! They had the exact tire I needed in inventory, and got it switched very quickly. I've tried a few other local shops and have had tires lost, late, and high prices. At Discount the prices were fair and service was great. I can see they treat everyone like family. That's important to me. read more

I can't recommend these guys enough! Ben did an awesome job helping me with my problem. Fantastic service and clear-cut communication managed to save me $350+ on a tire replacement. A nail got lodged into one of my tires during a drive, and when I took my car to Firestone and a local shop, they both told me that the nail was too close to the outside of the tire, and because of that, I'd need to buy a set of two new tires as a replacement. All of the possible replacements that I looked at cost over $320 at the time to install and balance. When I took my car to Discount Tire, though, they took my car in and told me they managed to plug the hole for free! After double-checking the tire and handing me the keys back after about an hour of wait time, they told me that someone was probably just trying to convince me to buy a new tire. I'm trusting these guys with my tires from now on! read more

Haven't had much luck with DT in the past, but tried a different store...different state. This store in Alcoa exceeded my expectations. John & Joshua had great customer service...Brandon not so much. The store was clean. I understand this is a busy store and you are trying to get customers in & out in a timely manner. BUT, you need to slow it down when you are moving customer vehicles around. I had my car serviced by the dealer a week ago when I was informed I needed new tires. I was offered a deal for 4 Michelin tires with a discount for $1,300. Not willing to pay through the nose, I decided to book an appointment online with Discount Tire a few days later for the exact same tires, $978 was the total, even got the military discount of $50. Arrived for my appointment, sat 10' away as the car was serviced in Bay #1, and was on my way 30 min later. I've been a patron at Discount Tire in California, Nevada, and now Tennessee. I had a slow leak in my tire and after underwhelming information from local mom and pop places, I took a last look at yelp and saw that Discount Tire is present in Maryville. I went in with no appointment and Tyler helped me get checked in super quick, walked over the Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch and came back 45 minutes later to Marshall parking my car. He handed me the keys, explained the puncture and that it was resolved and I was out. All in all less than an hour on a day that they were certainly not slow. It's funny what excites us as we get older, for me having a reliable source for tire headaches to be cured is exciting as can be. I'll definitely be back when I need anything tire related. read more

We have used Discount tire for all our tire needs and have been very pleased. This time was no different. My husband had a nail in his tire and it could not be fixed. Totally amazing tire business to say the very least!!! I noticed my right rear tire pressure was low. The tire technician proceeded outside to check my tire at which time he noticed a small screw in the tire. We next went inside so the technician could gather general information from me. The technician advised me that they could make the repair while I waited in their waiting area. I helped myself to fresh coffee along with a bottle of spring water which is offered to customers. Approximately a 1/2 later, the technician alerted me in the waiting room and advised me that my car was all set. I asked him what the cost was and he advised me that it was a courtesy and there was no charge!! Please take my word on this, don't go anywhere else other than Discount Tire for tire purchases/repairs!!! read more

Just dropped in because I had a screw in one of my Michelin tires. I had road hazard coverage on the tires and the folks at Discount Tire put a brand new Michelin on my truck and had me on the road in about 15 minutes! Very nice people! I haughty recommend. Our niece from Washington, D.C. stopped by, and like a good uncle, I had the privilege of cleaning and checking her 2006 BMW X5 before she continued her journey home. Found a right front tire that had 22 lbs of air pressure, and sure enough, found a puncture. Called Bryan at the Maryville Discount Tire Store, and asked if he could fix a tire for me. He did way more than that. Discovered the puncture was too severe to fix. These tires are in the $250 apiece range. "We can replace it for free, since it is 'cert' qualified" Bryan said. "What's that mean?" I asked. "Means it's covered under warranty." Bryan replied "But she didn't buy it here" I commented. "Doesn't matter. It's covered" I gave them her phone number, they found the tire source, and installed an equal quality replacement tire. Total cost? $23.71 for mounting, balancing, and disposal of the punctured tire. Party on! Now that's the way to treat people. I'll be back to have them take care of my cars again, that's for sure. Once again these guys went above and beyond. They're fast, friendly and really seem to genuinely be happy guys who enjoy helping others. I found tires cheaper at Walmart. I brought in the printout and 1,2,3, they matched the price exactly. They did this for my wife's car last year and also for another car we own. I feel good about going there.
