They have multiple bays open but say I'd have to leave the car with them and they can't say how long it would take. It's already frustrating to have a screw in the side of a tire and then have to replace the whole tire. Everything was fine checking in and out and of course it's expensive to replace one tire. They didn't bother to inform me that the original lug nut was stripped and they decided to replace it with the obvious gold one that sticks out. Then to drive back to the store to complain about it and ask why wouldn't anyone of told me before I left. I spent almost $400 on a new tire and you couldn't be kind to let me know that you had use a different lug nut? That behavior comes across as if the employee thought I wouldn't of noticed it in the first place. Be transparent on everything. When this happens offer a small discount so that the customer can use that money to replace the part. read more

stopped in today for a tire rotation, balance and alignment. bought my tires here so balance, rotation and flat repair are all free for the life of the tire. I'd highly suggest getting the alignment packages as well. which is what I have. counter staff was courteous and they had me in and out in about 30-45 minutes overall. I believe the work performed was done right too. they even ran a wash over the tires when they were done. the store has recently changed store management. but, it appears that he's carrying on the good management styles of the store manager that opened the location. I'd recommend this business and this location and TD overall as your place to go for work done to your vehicle when it comes to tires. read more

Great service, moderate tire pricing, but zero integrity. I usually deal with Discount Tire in North Carolina, but with my son going to college in Knoxville I needed to buy some tires for him locally. I searched for Discount Tire using Google, but for some reason, "Tire Discounters" returned in the result. Thinking that Discount Tire wasn't in the area, I went to this location and had 4 new Goodyear tires installed. We had to go back for some reason, I think it was a vibration- really honestly can't remember, but anyway when I searched for the store's phone number to arrange for the corrective measures on Google Maps, I saw that Discount Tire is indeed in the area. I had been dealing with Dwayne (not sure the spelling), so I called him back about the issue and told him that what I really preferred to do it go to Discount Tire, and then I would cart the 4 tires back to him for a refund. Not only was I more familiar and comfortable with Discount Tire, but they were also $60 cheaper on the set of 4. Dealing with Discount tire would also allow me to take advantage of the lifetime rotating and balancing once my son returned home. Discount Tire is in Charlotte, but not Tire Discounters. Dwayne said he really wanted to keep my business, so he suggested that we go to Discount Tire to buy a standalone balance and rotate policy on our current tires and he would reimburse us. I told him that I appreciated that, but he was failing to realize that not only would I be dealing with a trusted brand, but I would get the tires cheaper. He said "again" he really wanted to keep my business, and offered a free oil change to level out the transaction. I told him the car wasn't due for an oil change, plus I do my own oil changes using synthetic oil. He said he would also use synthetic, and I can just bring it in when it's due. Well, you can probably see where this is going. I certainly should've gotten something in writing, but I really thought at the time that I could trust him. I called him today and of course he doesn't want to do the oil change. He said that the rotate and balance was the extent of good will he was willing to endure. Why would I make up such a story? Had he not promised the free oil change, I would've simply gotten the refund that I was intitled to and moved on to Discount Tire. I've no reason to smear any company's reputation unjustly. This was the very next day- so, well inside the window for a refund. I felt like arguing with him today, but instead I calmly accepted him as a fraud and hung up. I'm not sure if he really remembers it this way, or if he's just cutting his losses. He has certainly dealt with many other customers since me, but he is the only tire store I've dealt with since this purchase. My memory is clear and unclouded, but he made no attempt to concede or pacify. They obviously do a lot of business and I think they must get it right far more often than not, but my advice is for you to increase your odds of satisfaction and deal with more reputable companies that don't insinuate you are a liar when you contact them for promissory services due. If nothing else, at least checkout Discount Tire's prices online to make sure you're not overpaying like I did. De-Wayne in my case proved not to be De-pendable. read more

First off, I don't normally leave reviews but felt after what these guys did for me, I had to. I stopped in to get tires balanced during a very busy time of the day but Dewayne Comer was kind enough to fit me in. I explained my shaking issue at higher speeds and said he would look at the tires personally. During the balancing process, he called me back to show me a bent rim, that I was unaware of. He also took an additional step to look for a new rim for me online. Dewayne, the mechanics were just fantastic and I am recommending everyone I know to this place. Thanks again Dewayne. I've used tire discounters for some time. And up recently had no issues. Within the last two weeks I took both of my vehicles to get serviced. Oil change time! Well... the service was not the best. It left me questioning whether the services I usually get were actually performed. That's because immediately afterwards, my wife's car had the oil change light come on as well as the windshield washer light. Then after that occurred, noted the same thing was true for my car as well. I choose the service at tire discounters because it's a full service and trust me, you pay for that service. Now I'm questioning whether I'll ever go back as the service team only provided partial service for a premium price. After taking my car back and mentioning the above. The team seemed bothered that I'd question their service instead of doing everything they could to rectify the issue(s). They did fill my windshield washer fluid, and showed that they actually changed my air filter. However, with the lack of customer focus, I'll still find a different location for this premium service, but doubt that it will be this location. read more

After getting the hard sell at a location in Halls, TN (told them I only needed a repair or just one tire -- but kept getting a price for four) and then another on Clinton Highway (was told my tires would not make it through the winter), I found Tire Discounters. Not only did they not try to sell me tires I did not need -- they repaired my tire at no cost, only asking me to come back to them when it was time to buy new tires. DeWayne Comer is very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly -- more importantly, he is trustworthy. I highly recommend Tire Discounters and appreciate their honesty and guidance. read more

I went here to have all four tires replaced prior to a long trip. I informed them I would be driving across the country and wanted a full inspection when they changed the tires. I paid $1000 for the four tires only to end up stranded in the middle of nowhere where my brake pads went out. Turns out my brake pads were at 1 and 3 mm when Tire Discounters supposedly inspected them while changing my tires (brake pads need to be changed at 5 mm). When I initially called about this issue (while stranded), they told me they would make it right for me when I made it back to town. $500 in emergency repairs and $200 for a hotel room later, I'm back in Knoxville and call to see what they can do to make it right. The person I spoke to very clearly did not care that their apathy cost me an additional $700 on top of the $1000 I had already paid them. They refused to actually make it right in any way, only offering a $114-value warranty if I paid them $500 to replace the other two brake pads. Absolutely terrible vehicle AND customer service--I will not be returning to this location, nor would I recommend it to anyone who wants to arrive at their destination safely. read more

On September 18th, 2021 at 4:16pm I called to get a quote for two BRAND NEW tires and an alignment for my vehicle. Anthony answered the phone with attitude and with attitude during the called which resulted in my hanging up. I told him I was looking at the website but then he said he needed the tire size off the car which is understandable. As I was searching for the size he became impatient and rude as he in a unkind rude tone raised his voice at me saying " IT HAS TO HAVE A NUMBER IN IT MA'AM!". Had I been a man this person who apparently knows ZERO about customer service would NOT have forgotten whom he was talking to and been rude to me! Very disappointed since I would have been a returning customer and very disappointed since I have even recommended this business to my brother. LISTEN!!
