Can't say enough good things about them. Highly recommended!…read more My parents have been happy and loyal Royal Palm Pest Control customers for years, so when I moved to the area a year ago and was looking for a pest control company, they suggested I give Royal Palm a ring. And I'm so glad I did, for 2 key reasons: 1.) IT WORKS: From a purely functional perspective, the treatment definitely helps keep pests at bay. For the first few weeks after we moved into the house, spiders, ants, and palmetto bugs were nearly everyday occurrences (as they tend to be in Florida). After Royal Palm treated, it felt like we had our house back. We pay for quarterly treatments, and while they offer free interim treatments if we notice an uptick in pests in the home, we've never had to avail ourselves of that offer. If we ever see an insect in the house, it's rare, and they've usually given up the ghost by the time we find them. 2.) CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SPECTACULAR: They always call US to schedule our quarterly treatments, which is a nice perk because I'd never remember. They're always friendly and professional. And our technician (Craig) is a super nice guy. Very efficient, always on time, AND he wears booties over his shoes when he comes into the house, which is such a nice touch. We like to maintain a "shoe-free" home to keep the floors clean, but we don't typically ask guests to remove their shoes because we don't want to make folks feel uncomfortable. So the fact that he wears paper booties over his shoes as a matter of course is just an incredibly thoughtful thing to do. Again, highly recommended!

It was a no brainer. Jennifer was so very helpful on the phone and set me up right away with an appointment. Brian came on the dot for our 8 a.m. scheduled appointment. So punctual, which in my world is an anomaly and much appreciated. (Fantastic!) He was professional and personable to boot. He asked questions and explained everything. He was extremely thorough. I am thrilled to have discovered Budget Pest Control from Edgewater, Fl. My thanks, appreciation and gratitude to Brian!! Jane Matthews

In my opinion, most of their reviews are from family and friends. I would like to explain my…read moresituation with this pest control company. I live out of state and scheduled a service to treat one room in my rental property. The technician charged me an outrageous $95 fee, even though he spent no more than 10 minutes in a very small room and barely used pesticides. He mentioned that there were no bugs and that the treatment wasn't really necessary. I ended up signing up for a year-long service with the agreement that they would waive the $95 fee and roll it into the service cost. I arranged for my parents to meet the technician, but he did not show up. Last week, I tried calling again to make a payment, as managing everything from afar especially with a three-hour time difference is very difficult. I had earlier canceled a service because my mother was not feeling well and was unable to meet the technician, but I communicated this to the company. Today, when I called Jennifer, she was quite rude, and once again, the technician did not arrive for the scheduled treatment. My tenant was upset because she had rearranged her day to accommodate the appointment, and there was no communication from the company. I asked the person I initially spoke with whether I could pay when I booked the appointment, but he told me I could only pay afterward because Jennifer was unavailable. Jennifer retracted the agreed-upon payment and said she would no longer honor it. I have never been treated this way by a company before. Their prices are exorbitant for the Edgewater area, so I reached out to a different company in New Smyrna and had a significantly better experience from the beginning. Their services were also much less expensive and more detailed! I hope this business learns a bit of professionalism and lowers their crazy prices!

I was told the treatment would "take time" and after a month...the wood eating ants were still there in the thousands. I communicated with Mr. Shumaker and he assured me after the 2nd treatment of $85 the ants would be gone. They were not. The bugs on the front of the house were gone, not the thousands of ants eating the wood at the back of the house. After sending him his private requested review..he called me as to why I was not happy. I stated.."you did not terminate the ants and since we have removed the rotted wood...I am cancelling the contract". He said he wished I would have not paid my last bill of $85 on my credit card and would "make it right". He did not. I saw him today as he treats our condos where I live and mentioned the home he treated. He right in front of his worker said.."yes she thought she had a termite issue but did not". That was a lie. After the worker left, I called him out on it as I did not want to make an issue in front of his worker. He basically talked in circles and stated.."well you resolved the problem by removing the wood". $235 down the drain. I own multiple rental properties...he will not get any more of my money. Negative reviews lose you more than that Mr. Shumaker.

Because I always support local business over the big guys, I called this company, and they were out to my house the next day. They asked several questions about what the ants were doing and where I had seen them (because, of course, the ants weren't out when they arrived) and then proceeded to educate me on the type of ant they believed it to be and what they were attracted to. Who knew some of the tiny ants are attracted to protein and some are attracted to sugar! No wonder my store bought ant trap wasn't effective. They did their magic, and I haven't seen a single ant since -- this was over 2 months ago!! One last thing that really got my attention about this company: I had seen a small roach a week or so earlier and took a picture of it with my phone. I hadn't seen any since but thought I'd go ahead and show them to see what kind of roach it was and if I should be concerned. I couldn't BELIEVE how much they know about bugs...they took a look at my picture, told me it was a just a baby (not the small bad kind of roach that's impossible to get rid of), and to call them if I seem to have a problem. They sprayed the outside of the house and went on their way. GIVE THIS COMPANY A CALL. AGAIN - SMALL, LOCAL BUSINESS IS EVERYTHING FOR OUR COMMUNITY!!! :)

We have a pest contract with another company and he suggested we reach out to them as well to see if they would handle, what we thought to be a raccoon as to not violate our contract. He went into the attic (helping me move boxes so we could get into the second attic entrance) and found that it was a rat caught in a trap and it happened to be right on top of our hallway attic entrance flopping around. I was able to call my pest control company and they removed the rat and rechecked entry points and helped seal other potential areas that Nestor pointed out to me during the inspection. I would not hesitate to call them in the future and have reached out regarding a treatment for the attic to neutralize the rat feces.
