Highly recommended!…read more My parents have been happy and loyal Royal Palm Pest Control customers for years, so when I moved to the area a year ago and was looking for a pest control company, they suggested I give Royal Palm a ring. And I'm so glad I did, for 2 key reasons: 1.) IT WORKS: From a purely functional perspective, the treatment definitely helps keep pests at bay. For the first few weeks after we moved into the house, spiders, ants, and palmetto bugs were nearly everyday occurrences (as they tend to be in Florida). After Royal Palm treated, it felt like we had our house back. We pay for quarterly treatments, and while they offer free interim treatments if we notice an uptick in pests in the home, we've never had to avail ourselves of that offer. If we ever see an insect in the house, it's rare, and they've usually given up the ghost by the time we find them. 2.) CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SPECTACULAR: They always call US to schedule our quarterly treatments, which is a nice perk because I'd never remember. They're always friendly and professional. And our technician (Craig) is a super nice guy. Very efficient, always on time, AND he wears booties over his shoes when he comes into the house, which is such a nice touch. We like to maintain a "shoe-free" home to keep the floors clean, but we don't typically ask guests to remove their shoes because we don't want to make folks feel uncomfortable. So the fact that he wears paper booties over his shoes as a matter of course is just an incredibly thoughtful thing to do. Again, highly recommended!

I live out of state and scheduled a service to treat one room in my rental property. The technician charged me an outrageous $95 fee, even though he spent no more than 10 minutes in a very small room and barely used pesticides. He mentioned that there were no bugs and that the treatment wasn't really necessary. I ended up signing up for a year-long service with the agreement that they would waive the $95 fee and roll it into the service cost. I arranged for my parents to meet the technician, but he did not show up. Last week, I tried calling again to make a payment, as managing everything from afar especially with a three-hour time difference is very difficult. I had earlier canceled a service because my mother was not feeling well and was unable to meet the technician, but I communicated this to the company. Today, when I called Jennifer, she was quite rude, and once again, the technician did not arrive for the scheduled treatment. My tenant was upset because she had rearranged her day to accommodate the appointment, and there was no communication from the company. I asked the person I initially spoke with whether I could pay when I booked the appointment, but he told me I could only pay afterward because Jennifer was unavailable. Jennifer retracted the agreed-upon payment and said she would no longer honor it. I have never been treated this way by a company before. Their prices are exorbitant for the Edgewater area, so I reached out to a different company in New Smyrna and had a significantly better experience from the beginning. Their services were also much less expensive and more detailed! I hope this business learns a bit of professionalism and lowers their crazy prices!

They sent a sod co. out to replace grass. Unfortunately, no one from Massey showed up. The job was never completed. We have dealt with inadequate service for over a year. We finally decided to repair our lawn ourselves and hire someone else to maintain it.

I have had a termite contract with Massey Services for over seventeen years. Three weeks ago, I…read moreremoved 30 feet of flower beds within 18 inches of my house that have not been maintained for many years. After removing the overgrowth, I found four termites traps buried under leaf debris and root matting that had not been touched for ???? years. I was never informed by Massey that they could not access the traps and I needed to correct the issue. I called Massey and they said a technician would be out in four days to inspect the traps. They never showed. I called again and they said a technician would be out the following Friday. At 3:45pm Friday I called to see if the technician was still coming, after a brief hold they told me the technician would be there in an hour. They did not show, but I did get a call from a manager that told me she would come out after she closed the business for the day. I told her it was a Friday and I could wait until the following week. She said she would be there Monday morning between 9 and 10 am after she got her crews out. At 11am no show and no calls to explain why. AGAIN I called and they said a technician would be there in a short time. The technician did show up, was very professional and did an extremely through job. I followed her as she checked the termite traps. I was told the traps were serviced this past February 2026. The number of traps that were covered over by thick grass roots and the number of traps that she almost could not pull the bait out due to being root bound was beyond belief. Around 6 of the baits were in fall part state and had to be replaced. I am not sure which technicians had previously performed this service, but I hope they are no longer employed by Massey.
