He spotted a looming issue for me (an error code) and told me up front that the error could affect the ability of my car to pass the test. I'm not a gambler. Smog check on a moments notice? No problem. Slightly hard to find, but well worth it. Fast , efficient and very pleasant people. They do a fantastic job! Super quick and very professional. The two that run the place have a great vibe. One time, I had just done a fix that had my check engine light on, after fixing the issue and replacing a part, clearing the code, now check engine light off, I go to smog it here. I let the guy know, and he checked for free, that I needed to drive the car more. He gave me advice to drive it in a certain way too, to hit around 200 miles but it had to be real, stopping, reversing, here and there. They I couldn't just drive to Santa Barbara and back. After leaving and doing that, a month later, I came back and had them smog my car. Pass! I then brought a second car here a few months later and it passed as well. This place can get very busy so I recommend going in early. There was one person ahead of me and I waited about 15 minutes. There were two people who came after me and the person who worked there and doing the smog checks informed the customers it would be about a 15 minute wait or so.
