He spotted a looming issue for me (an error code) and told me up front that the error could affect the ability of my car to pass the test. I'm not a gambler. They do a fantastic job! Super quick and very professional. The two that run the place have a great vibe. One time, I had just done a fix that had my check engine light on, after fixing the issue and replacing a part, clearing the code, now check engine light off, I go to smog it here. I let the guy know, and he checked for free, that I needed to drive the car more. He gave me advice to drive it in a certain way too, to hit around 200 miles but it had to be real, stopping, reversing, here and there. They I couldn't just drive to Santa Barbara and back. After leaving and doing that, a month later, I came back and had them smog my car. Pass! I then brought a second car here a few months later and it passed as well. There were two people who came after me and the person who worked there and doing the smog checks informed the customers it would be about a 15 minute wait or so.
