My pool's salt cell failed and it's still under warrantee. I called Pentair and they created a worker order and assigned discount pool supply from Escondido to replace the salt cell. I left many messages and emails but they only contacted me 5 days later and when they finally scheduled an appointment it's another 5 days out, so from the date I called Pentair and the day they finally came for the replacement it took 10 days. On the day of replacement the technician came and spent 10 minutes replaced the top of my salt cell, didn't check if there is still leak after replacement and left in a hurry. He also didn't answer any of my questions. A week later my pool service lady came for the service and noticed multiple leaks under the salt cell that is so bad I had to turn off the pool pump to prevent further leak. So it has been 17 days since I called Pentair I am left with disastrous salt cell water leak that was way worse than before the replacement and no chlorine for the pool for a month. I am very disappointed with the service and care provided by discount pool supply. read more

I live in North Poway/Rancho Bernardo and my Zodiac Pool Vacuum recently had a "Blowout" with a wheel falling off along with the track. I took it to the Poway Leslie's Pool Supply that is close to us where I usually get our chemistry and unfortunately they only carry Polaris parts. So I Googled Zodiac service centers and Discount Pool Supply came up and I called the Escondido location and fortunately they carry most of the parts. So I drove up and met Vince Giracello who is their repair guy and he was FANTASTIC! Extremely knowledgeable and the best part honest as he was able to fix the wheel for only $14 for the part! Needless to say when I was at Leslie's they were quick to say if it couldn't be fixed they had a Polaris unit for $599. So thankful I ran into Vince and now Discount Pool is going to get most of my business especially when my Zodiac finally dies and I need to replace it. Vince is a great honest personality that knows a ton about the pool business as he has worked in it for many many years and I highly recommend Vince for anyone having pool issues. I have had a leak in my pool for years and have been dreading dealing with it. I figured we would be spending thousands of dollars to repair it. I went to Discount Pools in Escondido, explained my problem, and asked for a recommendation of who could work on the issue. Rather than sending out a high cost technician, the gentleman explained the likely cause of my problem (leaking skimmer seal), explained how to repair it myself, and sent me home with a $15 tube of sealant. 10 minutes of work and the leak is entirely gone. This place has everything ... chemicals, materials, and knowledgeable and helpful staff who will spend time to work with you. Wholehearted recommendation! read more

This company sent the same person to inspect my old equipment and to prepare a proposal and install it. Chris showed up at the time promised and worked continuously from 9:30 am -5:30. He had two helpers at various times throughout the day. He completed everything that he came to accomplish without asking me a bunch of questions. He was awesome! I have used Discount Pool Supply in Escondido for several years. I often had a problem with them calling back. Their hours seem to be very short or they just do not want to return calls when messages are left. My gardener, not their Pool Cleaner, discovered that the Filter was badly leaking and the water was running down my street from drain. It took a few days to send someone out (Gavin) who said I may need a new Filter at some time. The following day it continued to leak. I called on a Monday and spoke with another repair guy who said he would tell Gavin and that no one else was in but they would call the next morning. No one ever called so I called another contact who proceeded to have a new Filter delivered to me that following day. It was installed immediately. I have yet to hear back, however, was billed $205.50 for replacing the O Ring and stopping leak!! I responded by saying I positively will not pay the bill and that I would post a bad review and I have already started service with a new company. My last water bill was over $500 so it has been leaking for awhile and they never noticed it!! read more
