I contacted several HVAC companies, including Airmaxx. Aleksandr called me back almost immediately. I asked if there was any chance someone could come out that day, even though it was Sunday of Labor Day weekend. To my surprise, he said he would. Aleksandr showed up promptly and went right to work. He quickly diagnosed the problem, explained what needed to be done, and did it. He was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I really appreciate Aleksandr going out of his way to help on a holiday weekend, especially when we were in a bind. Great service and great communication. Airmaxx and Aleksandr will be our first call for any future HVAC needs. Highly recommend!

The installers, Ilya and Max, worked incredibly hard, were respectful of our home, and thoroughly cleaned everything up when they were finished. A minor issue with the installation came to light a few days later. We called West Coast Heating and Air, and Christian, the technician, came out that same day. Our A/C went out on our condo on Saturday night, during the hottest weekend of the year. One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning answered my call Sunday morning. Saving us another day of discomfort. Our heat pump is an older system, but the technician, Marco, wasn't just focused on selling us a new unit. I really appreciate Marco's problem-solving skills and professionalism. In less than a hour, and less than 24hrs from the system going down, he had it back up and confirmed to be cooling again. Alan was the…read moretechnician who initially diagnosed my issue and explained the challenge, the coolant was no longer legal in CA. Alan was very knowledgeable and I never felt pressured. Concerns with my gas heater led me to decide to replace all. Michael came out to speck a new system. He did a thorough walk through and we reviewed options. I never felt pressured. BTW, this was not through Home Depot. I settled on a Daikin heat pump & return air. The following week Moises and Gilbert showed up to install. In one day they removed my old units and installed new system. It worked great when they left but 45 minutes later an error displayed on my new thermostat. Moises and Gilbert returned the next day and did some troubleshooting. Thought they had found the problem and left with the unit running. Ten minutes after they left it errored out again. Came back a third time and meticulously traced all lines outside, in the attic and under my house. Apparently the drain pipes in my almost 60 year old home were no longer at an adequate angle to properly expell the excess water. I thought I was going to have to engage a plumber. But Moises and Gilbert cleverly solved the problem by installing a small pump on the unit. They did not charge me for this and it was well after 6:00 pm when they left. If not for their tenacity and creativity I'm not sure where I would be. It's well over a week and my system is running great! I'm very happy with my new unit and very, very happy with all the tech's involved, especially Moises and Gilbert!

We greatly appreciated this given it was in the middle of a heat wave. He also was willing to educate me when I asked elementary questions about HVAC, which I always appreciate from tradespeople. George's usual prices are a good value, being entirely fair to both parties. We'll absolutely be planning on calling GVK HVAC again for future A/C and heating needs.

George was able to come out same day to…read moregive a price and was the only one to suggest keeping the furnace as a backup to a new heat pump AC unit, as our old furnace was still working and didn't need to be removed. I'm sure this cut some costs with remove/setup, but based on some research this is ideal as the weather can get down below 40 degrees where I live. We went with GVK due to this, the fact he took the time to answer all questions thoroughly and honestly, and they were able to install the next business day; got a quote on Friday afternoon and scheduled me for Monday to install the new system. The price was also very competitive with the other options. We did have a delay in starting as they had a mix-up on install dates and had to postpone one day. However, George called and apologized and offered a discount for the mistake and to charge our current system to help keep the house cool until they came out the next day, which I think reflects how he runs a customer focused business. When he did come out that day I had more questions about the setup and based on our discussion we changed the coil for more flexibility in moving the unit in the attic one day. It was pretty clear that George runs a solid business; he double checked they left no trash after leaving, his workers made sure to set up mats everywhere they worked inside, they let us know when they would be using louder tools (as we have a baby), and they stayed until the unit was fully installed which meant they stayed pretty late. I couldn't recommend them enough. George is really easy to work with, does a great job on the customer side and also steps in to do the work himself which is all reflected in the impressive reviews he has.
