Well now, let me tell you about Dick's Sporting Goods because this place ain't just a store, it's a…read morefull-blown sporting goods revival tent. You walk into Clackamas Town Center and there it is... shining like a beacon for folks who like their gear fresh, their brands loud, and their hobbies expensive. Shoes? Lord have mercy. They've got enough to outfit a small army of marathon runners, golfers, and folks who just wanna look athletic while ordering takeout. You want Nike? They got it. You want those hard-to-find Crocs in that oddly specific color you saw online at 2 a.m.? Boom right there on the shelf like they've been waiting on you personally. Now here's the thing about ordering online you click, you wait, you pray it fits. Here? You just walk in, try it on, and walk out feelin' like you made a good life decision for once. No three-week shipping, no "sorry, sold out," no heartbreak. Just instant gratification, the way the good Lord and credit cards intended. And don't even get me started on the gear. Golf clubs lined up like they're ready to testify, YETI bottles for every hydration personality type, kayaks, bikes, floaties if it gets you outside or at least makes you look like you go outside, they've got it. This ain't bargain-bin stuff either. This is the high-end, "I probably don't need it but I'm buying it anyway" kind of place. Now here's where it gets funny the Oregon Ducks section. I swear to you, they've got better Ducks gear here than some actual Ducks stores. I'm not saying that's right... I'm just saying it's true. Brought my daughter in here once, got her some fresh Nikes, and she strutted back to her small town like she just signed an endorsement deal. That's the kind of confidence this place sells and it ain't even on clearance. So yeah, if you're anywhere near this mall and you like name brands, sports, or just enjoy walking around a store thinking, "Yeah... I could be that person," then step on into Dick's. It's classy, it's stacked, and it's just about the closest thing to a sports lover's heaven you're gonna find without breaking a sweat.

I friendly associate greeting us and we told them what we were looking for. When the sport seat was nowhere to be found, even though it was listed as "in stock" on their website, they asked other associates, and we eventually found it over in the golf department. Go figure. We tried it out and bought the sport seat. We believe the very helpful associate was named, Canola. Thank you!

I even consulted them on what scope to buy and hardware. Finally got my rifle and all my mounting supplies together to come in and get the scope on my new gun. I was told they were too busy today to do it and asked when would be a good time to bring it in. The girl at the front counter called back and then informed me after the measure 114 scare is over. I told her that's not what they said last week when I picked my rifle up and that they were doing a scope mount at that time. she just apologized and here I am with a rifle with no fixed sites and no scope mounted on it either. Although I have bought many times from this place in the past the service just continues to decline. I'll take my business and money somewhere else in the future.

The only thing they sent was a small portion of the tackle in the first shipment. So I called them. Nice on the phone and promised to expedite the rest of the items even if some substitutions needed to be made. Received the rods but nothing else and no communications from them. Needless to say I am NOT PLEASED!!! So now I'm scrambling around 3 days before we leave, trying to find gear. Don't buy from them online.

Since I swim daily, I'm always seeking replacement goggles or fins - and typically find better options on Amazon, which was the case this day. The layout of this store was a maze with no clear departments or signage. I actually got frustrated and left after realizing I would not find swim gear here, and didn't have the patience to navigate the aisles.

Lots of cycling, climbing shoes, winter clothing, and shoes. Their kids/baby section is very small (baby section was nonexistent, but only found one bunting bag for a good price when the item was brand new). I found a new/lightly used kids base layer for $8! My big find today was a pair of Vasque hiking boots, which were originally for $220, but I paid $36! MIND BLOWN. It's brand new and discontinued. They have excellent vibram traction, medium to high ankle support, comfortable and light, and a non-mesh exterior. I could not pass up this opportunity. I also saw many winter coats and parkas on sale for a good price. This is the time to buy your winter items. Also spotted a foldable lightweight kayak, Yeti coolers, pet clothing/accessories, and tons of backpacks displayed and ready for spring/summer trips. The cashier person told me that the backpacking packs will be gone by end of summer. So stop by from time to time to see what's in stock. Quality items at excellent prices.

The selection here is fantastic, with everything from jackets and hiking shoes to thermal gear and hats, all at factory outlet prices. I've found deals that beat most online discounts, especially during seasonal sales. The staff deserves a shoutout. They're genuinely helpful, not pushy, and always willing to check stock or help you find the right size. You can tell they actually use the products and know what they're talking about. The store is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate -- no digging through messy racks like some outlets. The checkout process is quick, and the team keeps the line moving even when it gets busy. Pro tip: Sign up for the Columbia Rewards program. I've scored some extra savings and early access to sales that make it worth it. Overall, this is one of the best outlet shopping experiences in the Portland area. Whether you're gearing up for a hike or just looking for a solid rain jacket (we are in the PNW), Columbia has you covered -- literally! LMAO

I was specifically hoping to find boots and/or a jacket. On top of having an entire floor full of clearance jackets, they also had about a dozen racks under tents outside of the store. It seemed like they probably had every Columbia jacket that had been made within the past few years. There was also a ton of Mountain Hardware and Sorel. The Mountain Hardware jackets were about 25-50% off, which was still significantly cheaper than REI or anywhere else that I know of. I ended up feeling so overwhelmed by the jacket selection that I decided I needed to do some research, and come back. I ended up leaving with two pairs of snow boots: 1 Columbia, and 1 Sorel. I got both pairs for $55, including tax and a very small roundup for the National Park fund. I've been looking for boots for a couple of weeks, and the cheapest I've found comparable boots anywhere else was anywhere from $69-129. So, I was beyond stoked to find two pairs I liked in the clearance section. They were also having a store wide BOGO half-off sale, which is how the total ended up so low. I didn't have, and have actually never had any of the issues with outlet stores that other people brought up in their reviews. I used to work at the outlets in Folsom. Most of the merchandise isn't damaged or defective-- it's just overstock or barely out of season. The boots that I purchased are honestly of similar quality to brand new boots from DSW. I just got really lucky (and have a seventh sense for when things will be on sale due to all my years of working in retail). Staff was super friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience and I would definitely shop here again.
