Out recent visit to Dirty Dick in Paris. We were excited and intrigued to check out a tiki bar in France. It did not disappoint - drinks were balanced and tasty and the atmosphere/vibe was on point (no Tiki music but cool French modern music that we thought was fun and unique). We went on a Monday night and it was packed. We had the Zombie, Three Dots and a Dab, Twisted Typhoon, off menu Navy Grog, and the shared bowl of She Sells Sea Shells (secret recipe but had Jamaican rum in it and was our favorite drink of the evening).

Awesome tiki bar in Paris. Drinks were great and service was impeccable - many tiki aficionados from near and far occupied the space. Definitely recommend if in Paris and are a tiki lover.

The service was great and the ambience was really awesome! Super cool place to visit in Paris for drinks!

Great vibe, great drinks. I went around Christmas, so it was kind of empty but the bartenders are really fun and I had a good time there, even though I went by myself and I met some people.

Yumm, definitely a great place for exotic and elaborate drinks that taste amazing, bar tender was from the states so that was a plus. && they have certified technicians offering back massages!!! Definitely recommend!

This cocktail bar is very dimly lit and they are tiki style cocktails. The skulls on the drink menu tell you how strong the drinks are. There's a good amount of seating for you to sit and enjoy your drink. We had one drink and decided to move on afterwards. Something that was extremely weird that was happening were people coming around asking if you wanted a massage. Even after saying no thank you they still tried to get us to take one saying that we decide the price after. Before coming over to us there were massaging people at the table behind us and kept bumping into me. They never said excuse me once. This was STRANGE to say the very least. Massages do not happen at cocktail bars in New York where I'm from or anywhere else I've ever traveled to. If I'm ever back in Paris I wouldn't come back here.

Tiki Bar in the heart of Paris, France

Back before COVID, I was traveling for business and found this cute little tiki bar across from my hotel in Paris France of all places! It was so unexpected which is why I had to stop in before returning to my hotel. The bar is small and unassuming. From the outside it reminded me of a no frills corner bar. But when I walked in, it was sensory overload! Dark and sultry, bamboo and candles; it was a true tiki bar! I sat at the bar and the bartender was so welcoming. He was friendly and helpful when I was trying to decide what cocktail to choose. Once I made my choice, he created a perfect tiki drink to satisfy tropical tastebuds. While I was there, he checked on me often and made smalltalk too. I didn't stay long because I was by myself but I would definitely return the next time I find myself in Paris looking for a tiki bar!

Atmosphere was great and staff was super friendly! Dark and appropriate tropical music. The drinks were pretty good but nothing groundbreaking as far as tiki drinks go. If we went back we probably would try different drinks instead of the ones we got (Painkiller and Missionary Downfall). Sadly they didn't have any souvenir mugs in stock.

Fantastic tiki bar in Paris! Great vibes overall from the staff to the drinks! Had an amazing time, had 3 cocktails here and all were amazing! Definitely put this bar as a place to go on your itinerary!

The name may throw many off but this is a chill tiki bar! Round 1 - Hats Off to Berry and The Polynesian Remedy Round 2 - Mystic Fist of Ku and Winter Wahine Round 1 was the best, the cocktails quenched our thirst and were beautifully presented. For round 2 I did not care for the Winter Wahine, it was boozy and a tad sugary. The staff were cool and spoke English fluently. I wish I ordered a drink that they lit on fire!

What a great find!…read more This bar doesn't look like much from the outisde but once you walk in, its super cool and full of character. The bar staff was extremely friendly and educated us on the history of the bar. Both bartenders spoke english and were from United States. It was explained to us that Lulu White was a brothel madam, that was concidered to have more power than the mayor of New Orleans during the late 1800s. Her brothel contained a "Blue Book" that allowed patrons to chose their companion via photos. The Lulu White bar, took this concept and allows you to chose your drink according to the individuals photographed in the "Blue book". We were told the individuals listed in the book change about every 6 months but the Lulu White drinks remains constant. I tried the Lulu White: Altos Anejo Tequila, Plymouth Gin, Genepi, Absentroux, and Cardamon noir. It came in a elegant beautiful glass and It tasted like a dry martini with a licorice flavor from the absinthe. This was definitley a drink you sip on to enjoy. The décor of the bar, resembled historical New Orleans with its dim lighting and elegant décor and half moon booth seating. This was a great surprise, and I recomment anyone to stop by and check it out!

Still a strong mix of anglophones but locals seem to balance out the crowd. Fairly priced cocktails. I had the Beatrix which was a little too bitter for my taste, so switched out to the Pale Ale which was tasty. The live music was fantastic! Not sure if the ensemble is there every weekend, but they made a great trio. I'd visit when/if in Pigalle again.

If you're in the area, do check this place out...it's also very central to so many other places in Paris, so it's a great place to start or finish at...I wouldn't make it THE place to go. The bloke behind the bar exclaims before we even sat down: "I have no idea how to make a cocktail! I'm just guarding the fort! I can pour a beer if thats what you want". "Sure". I notice something about Jack Daniels in the bar and casually mention a Lemmy... "Don't move! The real bar tender is a Motörhead fan!". Peter (I think that's his name, but I was hammered, so could well be Rudolph for all I remember), walks in and takes his place behind the bar. We start exchanging stories of how we met Lemmy back when he was immortal... Aaaaaand... it was all uphill from there on. We slap some Motörhead on the sound system, cranck it up to 11... and the rest is history. I did mention the best cocktails this side of Manhattan. Let me explain: 50ml of Gentleman Jack 20ml of maple syrup 2 dashes of angostura bitters Top off with stout or porter beer. Grate some Tonka bean on top That called a Lemmy Angel and it's MAGIC! He and some friends went to this bar and spent an afternoon there. When they went to pay, the proprietor asked if they could spare any food instead to feed his family. There was little food available to buy. They gave him their K-Rations, keeping just one to share amongst themselves that evening. So for us to return and find this fun, vibrant bar there was priceless. We had written the bar earlier and made reservations and he was as excited to welcome us as we were to be there. [Our server was the driver of this car. Turns out that car was her parents and she's in deep shit - as such her service reflected her mood perfectly.] Myself and 15 others made reservations for Gocce to celebrate a birthday. Upon entering we were seated in the deepest recesses of the back of the bar. The table for 15 made no sense, imagine a U-Shaped booth with 5 (yes 5) round brasserie tables crammed together and some additional chairs wedged directly against them. As people arrived we realized we're not going to get 15 people in here with these five tables. Also despite repeated (3 times) requests, the staff were unwilling to remove even one of the tables to provide us room to move and sit comfortably. From there things got worse. In our cave, we had no real light, instead we had candles on each of our five tables, while this did provide us the necessary "mood" lighting, we determined quickly that it wasn't a mood we wanted exposing, oh and it was Ducking hot! We were told at the outset when we ordered two bottles of beer that they had no additional beers available. During my inspection of the bookshelves while in search of a bathroom, I come back to see the same server giving fresh beers to other customers, when asked what gives, I was ignored. The toilet, that damned toilet - WHERE ARE YOU!?!?! Yes, the toilet is hidden behind a bookshelf that is not marked or labelled. My advice if you have to go urgently, walk outside and pee in front of the restaurant, that will be easier than locating the facilities. After suffering through this scene for nearly 40 minutes, I spoke with the birthday girl and we agreed to find another place. (Located just next door is an establishment called Chez Vous it's number 15 on the same street and was wonderful). Finally, adding insult to injury, we were given the bill. Wine was 11 euros per glass. Those elusive beers? Yes, 11 euros a bottle. And should you want a cocktail, fork over 13 euros.
