A - You get a lot of pissed off customers that will flock to your competitors. I am now one of them. Despicable treatment by a group of totally untrained, uneducated, incompetent L I A R S First call 10/17 - This is where I lost 51 minutes of my life trying to explain an issue to their incoherent representatives. First Eileen who was totally useless. Then her 'supervisor', Jasmine who guaranteed me I would receive an email from someone on their tech team within 72 hours, Ticket #1-236907879796R2. It sounded far-fetched, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. 10/24 - As anticipated, no response. Called again and spoke with Sierra who again, was of no use. I asked to AGAIN speak with a supervisor. After waiting for 1 hour 27 minutes (stupid me) with her coming back on the line every so often to assure me that the supervisor was coming, she disconnected the call. I guess that was her way of letting me know that a supervisor wouldn't be coming after all. Right back at you AT&T/DirectTV. Tomorrow, it's my turn and I will be one to hit the disconnect button and terminate your services. read more

What I want to know is if your so damn good, where the hell are your service people for the dozen plus victims waiting in your line? Here the thing, you're like PG&E you take the money, but you can't get it together for the end service. Gosh direct tv sucks. Bad customer service and they are not helpful . It's expensive and they nickel and dime you to death. Most of the time you get someone from India or some country! If it wasn't for my 80 yr mom that watches cable. I would cancel this service! And to top it off At&T took over they are so expensive!! read more

Terrible service. Be careful if you have to or want to cancel. They do not take no for an answer. I called for a second time today to get a refund that was never issued from several months ago. I ended up giving the rep my email address so she could send me some information and was assured my refund would be coming. When I got the email it was an order confirmation and found out she had not issued the refund. I went around in circles and had to get upset with the third representative who finally handled it correctly I hope. Never again will I have Direct TV. Very difficult company to deal with. read more

When I lost my house to the Helena fire earlier this year I called Direct TV to let them know that everything was gone. I was told that I would not be charged a cancellation fee because of the fire. Well I just had to pay a big fee. Thanks but no thanks, I will not be using your service after my house is rebuilt. read more

I used to like direct but since I moved to YC their phone people talk in circles I had a service guy come fix something on my tv , he asked for my 3-rD unit and I've only had 2!! He said he would make note but I would need to contact billing bc I'm billed for 3,,so I did and " back office billing " would get back to me in 5-7 days ,, 9 th day I called direct had to explain this whole thing to "tesha " and she argued I don't have a credit coming and I'm only being billed for 2 TVs BS !! I can't talk to back office and basically except what I'm billed bc they aren't crediting me I'm searching a new cable .. but in the meantime the service guy told me the wireless genies freeze what your watching until internal can figure it out , it's been going on since September!! read more

I had Direct TV installed in my new rental. The service guy was very professional and knowledgeable. It was raining outside and he made sure to take his shoes off when he entered the house so he didn't track in the dirt & mud. Very nice and told me to call him directly if I had any questions or needed help with anything. read more

By far the worst company I have ever dealt with. The customer service is horrible and things have become worse under AT&T. They care little about their customers and everything they do is designed to extra expensive fees. Please please dont ever use them. There are so many better solutions out there. read more

Direct TV doesnt really care abt their customers. The worst company. Have called them many times to have an additional tv installed. Job order was always scheduled, but always had an issue with the receiver. Bad correspondence. I cant wait to change provider. Looking back, it took them 6 weeks to install our services. If i can rate them, maybe -20. I can recommend them to my foes. BBB should look into them. Their customer service stinks. read more

The installer arrived on time and did a great job. His explanation of how the system operated was clear and he answered all my questions. The system itself is working fine, so far. It's a little different than Xfinity but I'm getting used to it. No complaints. read more

I really had high expectations for DirectTV since their ads always boast about how much better they are than their competitors, especially Comcast, and I have heard good things from others. Previously, I always had Comcast and I do admit to occasionally having poor reception and bad customer service as well as a high rate for cable and internet, but nothing was ever as bad as it has been with DirectTV. My bill with DirectTV is always inconsistent. Some months it's over $100, some months it's only $80, and just recently it was $56 only to shoot back up to $121 for this current month. When I look at the bill, none of it makes sense. I don't understand why the charges are different each month when nothing changes. We don't order movies or do anything fancy. We only watch the channels in our package and use the internet in our package. I have yet to contact customer service for this only because they're so annoying to deal with. Initial sign up was a hassle after we chose a bundle with internet only to have the billing be separate still for the next 2-3 months. Numerous calls with customer service finally got our bundled package to an ACTUAL bundle. Ridiculous. Not to mention, we are paying at least $20 more than quoted and in the beginning they failed to mention that I would be paying installments for an internet installation fee making my bill $30 more for the first 3 months of service. Honestly, this isn't even a big deal for me, it's just frustrating that I was never told about it until billing occurred. I feel like this company is either very very shady or just has an immense amount of poorly trained individuals working for them and making decisions. It's just not worth all the drama and back and forth, and to be quite honest their guide set up is so stupid and outdated looking, and why the hell does the remote not have a backlight?? What kind of idiotic bs is that? It's 2018, get with the times!!! I cannot wait to change back to Comcast, and I never thought I would actually say that. Steer clear of this company if you want a straight forward and honest TV provider. read more

Terrible company after being bought by AT&T. I called to lower my bill for 12 months, which they agreed to do by $40 a month. Only a 1 month discount was given and it went back up. I called to find out what happened and they said there was nothing they could do. They wouldnt listen to my phone call from July because they only record for training, which I know is BS, they record to lock your voice into the "YES" when it comes to contracts. I have Charter coming out next week after being with DTV for 10 years. I will never go back to DTV! read more

Direct tv lies, they start you out paying one amount and without your knowledge, they increase the bill gradually until it is $30 more before you know it. This is not an honest place to put your money and your bill will increase until you starve your family. Direct TV does not care if they starve the elderly on Social Security. They will increase your bill until it is almost double and you are paying twenty percent of your income. They do this dishonesty. Direct TV and ATT went together and they will try to take you also. I discontinued Dish and started another provider and ATT and now they have said I have to pay them for two years of the contract for my old contract expired five days before so I have to pay two years of a new contract. I did not start a new contract. They had someone from ATT who also works for Direct TV and they solicited my home to start Direct TV and they said they came from my account and I was able to get a huge discount by changing my service so I did it and now they are charging me 250 dollars for a contract I never started. They put me in collections for it and I am going to go to Small Claims court over this for they are liers. Att and Direct Tv are not honest companies, they are causing a lot of damage to people. If people who can afford them increasing their bill at will it would be good if they refused these dishonest ways to make money from these companies. Not everybody cannot afford to have their bill double on them at Direct TV's and ATT's directives to make money. They in-service their employees to do things dishonest and the employees don't even know it is dishonest the way the in-service teaches them. I had big signs that said no soliciting and they came to my home and did it anyway. The person who solicited my home did it against the rules for both companies also. The guy who solicited my home was working for ATT and got the information on me from my Dish billing information so they knew my contract was ended and now they are billing me for a contract I knew nothing about and he did not come from my account. He did this against the company and he took their satellite on top of my home and took it home with him. I called the company and told on him for taking the satellite off the top of my home. After I called the company he brought the satellite back and put it on the ground in the back of my house. It is going to disintegrate and now it is well on its way to be destroyed because it was taken from the rooftop of my home where it was safe and put on the ground to gradually be broken. Att knows this man solicited my home when it was prohibited and they know nobody would make a contract five days before starting a new contract with someone else. They solicit elderly communities because they have poor memories and can be deceived easily and they bind them to contracts and increase the payment and the poor elderly starve from their deceit. read more

If I could give a negative ten stars I would. I am always looking out for my mom and to find best deals possible. It has been absolute hell since we signed up three months ago. No record of payments made so mom had to get bank and directv on phone so bank could say yes a payment was made on this day. as i write this, yet another problem, wake up to service being disconnected . for 1, we had this past due amount of 33.00 and had no clue what it was for cause mom had payed entire bill. mom payed anyway. but still no service. i have been on phone for 40 minutes now and had spoken to 2 people so far. they had on their end no 33.00 dollar charge so could not tell me what it was for. From their end it said zero due. well he couldn't help so sent me to winback where as soon as i was transferred it said something and then disconnected. so now i am starting completely over and calling them again and on have been listening to crap music for 15 minutes now. when signing up, we signed up for bundle and three months later we are still getting a bill from ATT and another from Directv. After first month I called and they said oh, next bill will be bundled. that never happened so i called again and they said oh, next month it will be bundled. never happened. And what price i signed up for ended up being over 10.00 more then quoted. so it didnt actually end up being a better deal. wish like hell we would of stayed with Dish. This ongoing headache of problems is not worth it. well it has now been over 20 minutes wait for second call made this morning. When technician was here setting us up months ago, when he left he shook my hand and said " welcome to the family" Well I want a divorce and alimony. wow, talked to another person and they have no knowledge of account. Ok, three hours later of being on phone, talking to three different people, telling me three different things and still nothing resolved Thats it, we are done with them. and there sure as hell better not be a penalty. read more
