DO NOT go to them. i am a real person and never have written any review. but i feel i have to write one for them. Last Wednesday i was schedule between 5pm to 8pm to install DISH, i waited at home until 5:30pm and the install guy cancelled on me because he though it was too late for him, Thursday i was rescheduled to a different guy at 5pm, the guy did not show up until 7pm, he came in with the wrong receiver due to the office messed up the order paper. Friday, the guys came in late again at 7pm and kept me waiting on Friday night for another 2+ hours. He finished the installation and found out the "hit" cannot be sent thru. He promised to come back again during the weekend to fix it, but he never did. i called his cell phone several times, no answer. i left voice mail, no reply too. He even left the cable box open and screws all over the place, and he never came back as he promised to finish the job. He disconnected my original COX internet connection, so i do not have any internet to use and i have to wait until centralink to mail the modern to me in 7 to 14 days !! They will not say anything until i found out the internet problem. I had to keep calling the office, and most of time no one answers. They did not give me any official paper work about the price and break-downs. After they activiate my DISH service, they said i cannot cancel any more. It means I have to go with them in order not have the termination fee. no matter how i am NOT happy with their service. I did not feel i was cared as a customer and being neglected. If you want to avoid trouble and frastration, stay away from this company. WORST experience EVER ! read more

Worked with Josh and Krystina here moving from Dish to DirecTV. Nothing but good things to say about them and their service. I ask endless questions, I received endless answers and was never made to feel as if it was a problem. They really went the extra mile to get my home and RV service set up. I highly recommend dealing with Josh and Krystina for Dish or DirecTV. Put some money into the pockets of the little guys making a living, not directly into the corporate giants! read more

My own personal experience was not good. I had a unique situation because when the sales guy for "Direct Communications" came to my door, I was only a couple of weeks from a temporary relocation. My first instinct was that I should not make changes to my service with a relocation looming. I was offered a really good deal including a free iPad to switch from Direct-TV and COX to Dish Network and Centurylink. Matt explained to me that my temporary move would not be a problem. He stated that he could get everything switched over in time, and that I would be able to put my accounts on hold while I was on my temporary relocation. I believed him, and it was a big mistake. Problem #1, Centurylink failed to provide me service before I moved. They told me this was due to me having to port my phone number from COX. I signed up 2 weeks before my move, and they were not able to get a release from COX and switch me before my move. The problem with this is that my promotional pricing goes out the window because now I am still paying the same rate for COX as I was before (Centurylink promotional pricing was lost). Problem #2 was with Dish Network. Matt told me that I would have no problem putting my service on a hold while I was out of town for a couple of months and I would pay only $5 per month while away. When I contacted Dish to put my account on hold, they told me that if I put my account on hold, the promotional pricing would be lost and I would then have to pay a much higher rate. Matt promised me that the monthly pricing for my services with Dish and Centurylink were as long as I kept their service. Basically, the sales guy from Direct Communications came to my door and provided me with a few bits of false information in order to make a sale. He did promise me that if I wasn't happy, they would work with me to make it right. I spent a lot of my personal time making phone calls and waiting for a response from Direct Communications to try to resolve this. It's been a couple of weeks since I last talked to a Direct Communications rep and they promised me a call back on the same day. I did get a call back, and this is the third time they promise to call me, and failed to do so. Each time, I have had to initiate contact even when they told me they would call me. Lesson learned: Do your own research before switching any services. Don't assume the sales guys truly knows the policies of the companies they sell service for. Don't assume they will tell you the truth. I would not trust these guys unless their customer service improves dramatically! read more

So it seems DC has replied today and with that my opinion of their company lowered again. Might I add only after I got a call this afternoon 8/2/12 from Johanna asking about the BBB complaint and I informed her about Yelp as well. The problem lies here, I shouldn't of had to call at all. The company gave me misleading information and when I called to complain I was told that the gift card was in his hand and would be sent out before the end of the week, Josh did not mention 30 days anywhere in his statement. Obviously if he did then I wouldn't be complaining. I am a teacher and have my summer budgeted to a T. The extra $50 made an impact and I would not have switched if I were notified about the installation fee. I was happy with the situation being resolved after I called on the 22nd and if the owner had done as he said, none of this would have happened. I have no further comment and if any potential customer needs proof that this company's capability of rude and disrespectful behavior, be sure to read their explanation of what happened. My loss was not important to them and it was brushed off a few times. When I went to pick up the gift card Johanna said Josh forgets things all the time and after calling him the 2nd time to remind him she felt bad for me. Another company would have probably just apologize on Yelp and said the problem was resolved, remembering that the 'customer is always right' but instead Direct Communications in Mesa feels it is superior to its customers. Where do I start with this company? It all started when one of their sales reps did a 'cold call' knock at our door. Had I not answered, I wouldn't have gone through the hell that I did. The sales rep assured us that we would get more channels and services than we were currently getting from our cable/phone/internet provider for about the same (or less) $$$. When we saw that their price for TV was more than we were currently paying for cable, he assured us that Direct Communications would contact our cable provider and talk them into charging us less for our internet and phone service. That way our overall monthly bill for the three services would be the same (or less) than what we were paying for all three thru our cable/phone/internet provider. The other two bills were brought down a little, but not enough to offset the extra we were now paying for TV. He also assured us that we had a 30-day grace period in which we could back out of the agreement with no penalty. When we saw what we were REALLY paying, we called the company, telling them that we wanted to back out. We were told that there was no 30-day grace period. When we told them that their employee said there was, we were told that the sales rep was not an employee of the company! He was a sub-contracted representative, but we were assured that he's since been told not to say this in any future sales pitches. We got so fed up that we e-mailed the owner of the company, who told us that we weren't misled, lied to or anything like that from anyone from Direct Communications. It was all just a big misunderstanding, but we still couldn't back out of the contract. We then called the headquarters of Dish Network and told them about our experiences with Direct Communications. They understood and let us out of the agreement. It doesn't end here. Once Dish let us off the hook, we called Direct Communications to have them come and get their equipment they installed in our house. They said someone would come on a Friday, between 4 and 8 pm. At 3:55 that day, Direct Communications called us to say that they couldn't make it and that they'd call again next week to arrange another time. This was after we'd arranged for TV service back with our old cable provider. So now, we can't hook up our TVs to cable because all of Direct Communications stuff is still hooked up to our TVs! Purchased Direct tv through direct communications. Was promised a gift card. Never got a gift card but I do have a lot of texts from the person that sold it to me stating he is sending the gift card I also have a call voicemail from Cameron on my phone and one from a Zach stating the gift card is being mailed. all this was on nov 14th nothing in the mail to me. I called and spoke to Ben the manager at the mesa office he pulled up my account and then told me that I cancelled and ordered directly though direct tv.. I said that is a lie, he told me I was lying and he can prove it well . I contacted the installers as well as direct tv and was told yes indeed I did order it via direct communications .. So all I can offer people is stay away from this company go directly.. After contacting the cydcor that direct communications is in a round about way they are going to send me what was promised.. I cannot wait for my contract with Dish and Century Link to end. I acquired them through Direct Communications. The I will go on my own to find my connections to television and the internet. Just like a used car salesman promises you that it is a good car, Josh is full of crap too. He told us the prices for the two services would be a specific price, I have never seen them that low. NEVER! Every month the prices are higher than he quoted no matter who I call or what kind of discounts they apply. As for service they never keep an appointment on time and no one is there to answer the phone most of the time I call. I will not do business with them again. Absolutely horrible customer service. My husband and I were sold on what this company had to offer and scheduled an installation for Saturday morning. No one showed up. No one called. After placing several calls, we ended up getting it scheduled for today (Sunday). Again, no one has called and no one has shown up. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. read more

I agree with Hugo. They came to my door pedalling their wares and told me a bunch of lies of how they do business in a fare way. Well they do anything but that. They didn`t show up when they said, they lied about having an internet provider, and lied about their price. I am paying more now than I ever have and that was the reason for leaving cox. Now I`m stuck paying a corrupt company with NO business ethics. I am just putting this out there so other people can see the type of company they are thinking about dealing with. If you decide to go with Direct Communications, I`m sure you will not like your experience. Cox was expensive but I never had the problems with them that I`ve had with Direct Communication. Worst company I have ever ever had to deal with!! LIES LIES and MORE LIES!!!! Don't believe a word that comes out of a reps mouth with this group! Was promised so many things and none of it was true. The installation was horrible and had to have someone from DISH to actually come out and move the dish and correct the wiring. Then the prices that I was promised simply didn't exist. Great Company! I am very happy with my service. I have been back and forth between Dish and Directv and Dish's new equipment blows Directv equipment out of the water! I got a much better deal getting Dish Network going through Direct Communications and they made our customer/business relationship very personable. I enjoy having personal contact information and any time I may have a problem I can call them directly instead of going through the annoying customer service reps at Directv or Dish.... And as for the person who complained "Rachel O" it seems after reading your statement and the one from the Direct Communications Rep, you are completely stupid and over exaggerate your argument! There are people like me that read these reviews and I take them serious so don't be putting something up that isn't entirely true. And secondly if you were to contact the BBB with a serious complaint they would of most likely sided with you! They are always more for the customer than the company. I know because I work for the BBB! And since I work for them, I know the companies who are scam artists and also the ones that go the extra mile for the customer. I just moved and wanted Dish Network installed immediately. I received next day service and the installer even showed up 1 hour early. Even though I wasn't there, he began wiring the outside part until I got home to let him in to complete the install. I stand by this company and the service provided. I have dealt with other satellite companies and DC's is the best out there.... Satellite visions is a distant second....but #2 none the less!! Thank you Josh for my satisfaction!!! This has been the worst experience! I would never recommend using this company to get Dish or to switch from DirecTV to dish or anything else! We were told a bunch of bull from Matt and most of it was not true. They cost me more money that originally stated. I am supposed to get a credit on my dish bill, but I can't even get through their phone number to talk to anyone. It always goes to voice mail and the mailbox is too full to accept more messages. I plan on confronting them the next time they are in town at a Home show. If I have to warn every person I see going to their booth, I will. I have tried to get someone to call me, but no luck. A salesman for this company came to my door today and me being angry at Cox communications after repeatedly being screwed and over charged for 8 years, I decided to switch to dish network. Then I got sceptical after they guy left so I started searching for reviews. I have found many bad reviews and am now scared. Was very satisfied with DirectV for the first year. I understand we had a promotion deal. It was like $45 dollars a month. They said it would go up a little after the year was up. Well. We only had basic cable. No HBO or Showtime. Nothing extra. Are bill tripled. It went up to $120 a month. My husband and I only watch tv a few hours an evening. Not worth that kinda money. My husband called directv they would only take $5. Off our bill. So we have cancelled them. They lost another customer because of there outrageous prices. Very, very poor business practices. Contract to switch from DirecTV to Dish in January of 2013. One week after the installation, we cancelled the DISH service due to less than " user friendly" equipment and returned to DirecTV. I was told to give the technician a check for $200.00 which would be applied to the early cancellation fee. Check was written; given to the tech and I considered the matter closed. Credit card statement indicated a cancellation fee of $379.00 with no credit of the $200.00 check. Immediately called the office manager at Direct Communications who was to look into the charge and return my call with the solution. Angela, the Office Manager at D/C never returned any calls and when I did reach her after 10 days, said she was still looking into the processed check and that the equipment had been returned to their inventory. Disputed the charge with DISH through my credit card company and was credited the $200.00 from DISH who then tried to invoice me directly. Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on Direct Communications and received a call from their NEW Office Manager, Cheyenne. I was told she would process a check for $200.00 immediately and drop it in the mail to me so I could resolve the issue with DISH. The excuse given was there were some financial irregularities at their office and she would take care of the matter personally. Over two weeks have passed and I have not received the check nor have any of my emails or phone messages been returned. This company is ridiculous and I would seriously avoid any future dealings with Direct Communications or DISH for that matter. read more

This company is dishonest without remorse! Door to door salesman sold me on an internet and DirectTV package because the 2 combined were cheaper than my current internet alone pricing. I did not want DirectTV, and only agreed to it because of the price. I needed cheaper internet and DirectTV came with it. From the very beginning I was lied to. The installation guy did not show up as promised. Phone calls were not returned. Promised pricing was not honored. I attempted to cancel within 48 hours, but was told it had to be within 24 hours. The only reason it took me that long was because of the unreturned phone calls. Once I found out I was stuck in a 2 year agreement with Direct TV I made several attempts to receive the promised pricing. They finally got it just $10 higher than promised. I made a big deal about the pricing not changing after 1 year, knowing I was in for 2 years. After speaking with 2 managers, Krista and Ben, I was promised that IF the price changed at 1 year, I could call back and they would guarantee no price change. Well, here we are one year later. My bill has gone up $50 a month. I have spoken with both the internet company and Direct TV, and they have done all they can for me. I called Direct Communications 6 times before getting an answer. Basically, they say they can't do anything for me. Unacceptable! I can not afford an additional $50 a month for the next year ($600). My other option is to cancel the contract. That would cost me $220. I can't afford that either. I asked Direct Communications to pay one of those options, and they denied it. So much for honest business! Severely unhappy! read more

This company is terrible an makes promises that they cannot keep! I signed up at the Home Show and the sales rep, Andy Chamberlain promised me a free PS4 when I signed up. he stated that we would receive the PS4 6-8 weeks after I sign up. Not only did he promise me, but he also promised my friend that signed up after me the same item. We followed up with a call to direct communications, only to have them say that we are still supposed to receive a card to take and redeem at Game Stop or Walmart for our PS4. We waited two more weeks, and found out their number isn't working that is listed on their website, their contract and they don't answer emails. I called Dish Corporate Customer Service, and stated that there wasn't an offer like that right now. This means that this business is having reps LIE to customers to receive their business and get a contract, can you say Shady! I work in marketing and this is horrible service and a horrible way to do business, and I will keep spreading the wording until they answer.
