Great donuts and friendly people! A nice spot to run in and grab a a donut in the morning. All kinds of food during the day too.

Dippity plays the donuts game like a veteran in the playoffs. Donuts ready upon arrival. The usual classics arranged neatly: chocolate, maple bars, pink, sprinkles, and glazed all sitting pretty. The staff makes haste and wastes no energy. As soon as I paid for my donut, I was united with my donut. No waiting period. No extra time taken to heat up the donut. This business approaches the donut slanging game with a business-like demeanor. It is pleasant to be in the presence of winners in the donut industry. I'll be back to this pleasant place of donut glory soon. Victors create their own ambience.

Stopped by for a couple of donuts because Sunday Funday is about stuffing yourself silly with highly addictive food. THE FOODS | Donuts, breakfast sandwiches, burritos, omelettes, and traditional breakfast (eggs, bacon/sausage, hash brown, toast, donut). There's also a lunch menu with sandwiches, burgers, fries, and hot dogs. We Sunday Funday'ed on... - Apple Fritter | Small bits of apples with sweet cinnamon syrup and glazed. Crunchy fritter edges are the best. Be prepared for either sharing or coming with an apple fritter appetite because these things are pretty big. Nicely done here! - Old Fashioned | A variation of an old fashioned donut in that they add icing and crumbling bits of cinnamon, all while maintaining traditional form. Get it if you're feeling like elevated is where you want to be. THE DIPPITY DONUTS FEELS | Old school donut shop vibes, complete with booth & bar stool seating while the smell of coffee and donuts lingers in the air. Faded milkshake posters adorn the walls. It feels old, but it's okay because you know they're busy throwing it down in the back with the donut making. Ah, my childhood days are rushing back. THE PARKING SITUATION | Free parking in front and nearby. No issues finding an open parking spot on a Sunday Funday morning. THE ORDERING LOGISTICS | Pick your donuts out from the display case and pay at that same spot. WOULD I COME BACK? | Yes. Their apple fritters alone are worth coming back.

Next to a 31 flavors ice cream store and Lupe's mexican eatery, Dippity Donuts is not my typical donut place just not great. Staff: Friendly and fast. 5 (for a donut place). The staff consists of two hard working asian ladies. Very mom and pop feel. Service: Fast 5. I was there at a bit before 12 for lunch and was lucky I did. At 12 they got rushed by the lunch crowd. The place is popular with the blue collar crowd and moms with kids. They do table service. Restroom for customers only. Value: 5. I felt like their best value is their breakfast and lunch deals. Their hamburgers are popular and so are the breakfast plates (eggs, bacon, etc). They are of the $4.99 range (about $5.40 with tax). Taste/Quality: Hash Browns were generic, bacon and eggs were okay, I liked the toast, and the one donut topped it all off. 3 Ambiance/Atmosphere: Generic donut place with case and coffee but unique seating - booths and counter chairs. Felt quiet. Color scheme of white and light reds. 4 Overall I felt like I had a good value and experience. Not the place you go the extra mile for great taste but price and value when your in the mood for Denny's or McDonald's that's not Denny's or McDonald's. The one donut I had was soft, light and sweet. Their cinnamon rolls looked better.

Hope, our server, ws excellent and when we alerted her to the salty felons she immediately had new fresh fries made and the side wa not as large as a mail course. The hostess, Zoey, gave me the estimated wait time (which was an expected amount for that time in the early evening.) My mother-in-law has a portable oxygen concentrator that runs on batteries, so I inquired if there was an outlet we could use in the meantime to save the battery while we waited for our table. She politely asked me to wait while she spoke to her manger. Moments later, Kat, the manager arrived and I explained the situation. An unusual request I'm sure, so Kat took a minute to figure out a way to accommodate us. She also politely asked me to wait while she researched a solution. About 5 minutes later, Kat returned and informed me that a table by an outlet would be available soon if we could wait another 10-15 minutes. I happily agreed and let me party know. Not more that 15 minutes later, Kat gathered us in and showed us to our table. Our server, Alyssa, promptly greeted us and took our drink order while we perused the menu. We started with both the fried calamari and crispy brussel sprouts appetizers which were delicious and large enough for the 6 of us. For dinner, we had the Double Smash Burgers, Fresh Catch plate, Grilled Local Fish Sandwich, and the Cali Clam Chowder. Each entree was brought out fresh and tasted amazing! Alyssa was very attentive to ensure our meals were prepared to our liking and that our beverage needs were met. Kat came by as well to check on us and to make sure we had everything we needed. The staff and management at Jimmy's Famous American Tavern in Dana Point went above and beyond to accommodate our party of 6 and provide us with the perfect balance of personal and professional care. Thank you!

Today, on a Saturday at 12-ish, as a family of 4 we were able to get seated right away. Our server was attentive and offered/brought waters right away. We were seated inside which was open and spacious but loud enough to make it family friendly. The tables were far enough a part that you did not feel like you were on top of each other. Next time, we might ask to sit outside so our young boys can watch the cars drive by. We learned that the kitchen is nut free (always double check as this could change), which was amazing since our son has a severe nut allergy. He was so excited to learn this as he can be limited at other places due to cross contamination or the wrong oils. Then when the food came out and it was delicious - it sealed the deal. It is now in the top of our list of places to go. The kids cheeseburger is good size and not a smaller version as some places do. The chicken tenders were panko crusted which was so crunchy. My husband and I shared the smoked carrot and chicken tacos and we enjoyed them both. The beer was also very good with my husband and I each trying a different kind - an IPA and a Pale Ale. We are so glad we finally stopped in and so should you!

I don't think it's worth the time to go out of my way to come here.

Dessert: Oreo shake and strawberry shake, both rich but not too heavy, just right. Everything was phenomenal, and the customer service matched the food. We were checked on multiple times without being bothered, and the space had plenty of seating both inside and out. The AC was a welcome relief from the heat, too. My server had no idea what gluten was. For a place that had half the menu marked as gluten free I was really surprised she really had no knowledge of the menu, but she was nice enough to go ask some questions when i pressed a bit that I wasn't vegan, and it was like an allergy. The food was good, portions were large enough and everything was pretty good as far as the food. Not sure why the service was so incredibly patchy and absent when we ate at 3:30 and the place was 2/3 empty.
