I have two big German Shepards. The places I've taken them before clean them, but only on the surface. For instance, when I hug them, I can smell how well the shampoo has been worked into them. Usually not very well. But Dippity Dog's groomers do an excellent job. My dogs come back home happy, with shiny coats and smell lovely for days. I wanted to write this review in response to some horrible reviews Dippity Dog received from some unfortunate reviewers. Dippity Dog was recommended to me by a neighbor, and I am so glad that they exist! They have been nothing but wonderful to my dogs when I take them in, and I feel welcomed everytime I come. I have two poodles, one shih-tzu/poodle in particular. They are high maintenance dogs, and sometimes when I take them to other places, groomers charge an extra fee. Dippity Dog's fees are fair and reasonable. Not to mention, worth every penny. My dogs look great, clean, and HAPPY. I hope other proud customers speak out so that Dippity Dog gets an average of five stars. They are great! read more

Whoever was in charge gave me a dirty look when I came late said it's going to be awhile with my dog, so cryptic. Literally this review has been in my drafts, and dog was traumatized well after this occasion. I've written this review 8 months later, half as a draft because I did not want to bag on small businesses especially because I don't use grooming services, but after taking my dog to another groomer, it's clear to see that this place just wants to go through the motions with dogs, poor cleaning leads to flea infestation in your business and now Orkin Pest Control and Rightguard, which are flea preventive services that own my soul now and are not cheap. Thank you for showing me a clear example where to keep my dog away from. Let me begin by saying I don't usually do negative reviews on places. If I don't like them, I simply don't go back. However, this is an exception. We were very nervous about trying a new Groomer as our Groomer has been with us for several years. However, due to an injury she could not do our dogs and recommended Dippity Dog. We have two Coton de Tulears which require hand trimming to maintain their luxurious coats. We met with the owner who related that she would personally do our dogs as they were very nervous in the new setting. She related that she didn't demat dogs and that she would need to trim about half the length off of their coats, which was acceptable as it been quite a while since their last cut. However, they had been professionally bathed only two weeks prior and didn't have a bunch of mats. We also made a request that she not trim off the long eyelashes on one of our dogs. Needless to say, when my wife went to pick up the dogs four hours later, she was horrified to see that they had been completely shaved and not and hand trimmed. The luxurious eyelashes on our one dog had been completely cut off, their ears were cut into the square pattern, and their skin was showing through what little hair was left. The owner wouldn't even look her in the eye when she picked up the dogs and my wife was so shocked she just paid the exorbitant $135 and walked out. Nearly every review as well as personal recommendations for this Groomer were positive so I don't understand what happened in this case. We obviously will not be going back and wanted to provide an honest review on what happened in case you're considering this Groomer. read more

So I took my dog Eva in to get her nails trimmed. FYI she already has a "thing" about getting her nails cut. Frankie was the best. He was able to get her half way done. First time I went was a Monday and I didn't bother to check your closing times. Soon realized you guys close at 6, I was their at 730. The following day I went again and when I got there it was too late because I arrived at 550. Yes I cut it close but I also get off at 430 and it's difficult to make it home, change, take the dog out, and proceed to your location in time. Finally 3rd times the charm, right? WRONG I just got sent away at 528 PM.. the employee just gave me a sad face and said "sorry we're closed" instead of arguing with her (cause that's gets no one any where) I walked away. Please commit to your hours. I just did a 3 day trip to your establishment only to fail each time. The following day they gave me a free wash! The reason for this bad review is that they charge a dollar for every minute that you are late picking up your dog. So first of all they missed quoted me even though I told him I had a 30 pound dog they said it would be $50-$70 which I understand is an estimate but I was charged 80 for my rather small dog. There was no clear reason why. After that they charge me $13 extra even though I was 10 minutes late. They never initially told me what time they close and that I think is the problem. If they had told me what time they close and they had told me that they were going to charge me a dollar for every minute that I was late, I would've made a point to not have done anything else other than to wait on tenterhooks while they finish the groom. Also none of this makes sense because when I got there the groomer offered to change the way that she had cut the dog and said it would only take 10 minutes. So she was willing to stay 10 minutes extra however the business had to charge me for the 10 minutes that I was late. None of that makes sense. They still had laundry to do so that means that they were going to be closing up anyway. The groomer was great. I understand that things are tough during Covid but I was understanding when they didn't have any treats for the door they didn't have the usual bandanna that they give the dog when you pay for a spa treatment. I just think that it is bad customer service and bad for repeat service if they charge you for every minute that you were late. I hope they're happy with her $13 because I am not going to them again. read more

I had my two Maltese groomed here and was very happy with the experience. The groomer was the first one in a long time that did the face correctly. So many groomer do a schnauzer type face which I do not like. She made the face rounded and it Looked so cute! The staff were all super nice. We will be back for sure. read more

I have dog that detest grooming, but his hair grow thick and fast. It took 4 visits with increasing the sedatives to allow the groomers to cut his hair. They very patience and understanding grooming salon. Max loves his haircut. read more

For me personally this was a tough one. I used this groomer for my three akitas. One of my akitas had bad hips so I made sure I had scheduled apts and would drop off pick up quickly. I had on this day brought in two of my dogs one young and spritely the other the older dog. They chose to groom the younger dog and left my other dog tied to the wall for hours. He could not stand up when I went to pick him up. Why if they had time to do only one did they schedule two, why didn't they call me under the curcumstances, why didn't they do the one that needed to move around and not be stuck somewhere for hours. On the other note my daughter uses them also for her Jack Russell and loves them. read more

I love this place . Having a husky makes bathing/ brushing a grueling task and after spending 1-2 hours hunched over bathing the last thing I want to do is clean my entire bathroom ! So what to do ? SELF WASH AT DIPPITY DOGS ! The tubs are waist height they provide shampoo, towel, brush, ear cleaner and best of all the pro hair blowers ! Plus I don't have to clean up all that hair ! The staff is always super friendly and of course dog lovers :) They gave me great advise on what type of shampoo/ conditioner and grooming tools to use it worked like a charm ! Ok, I had brought our dog for a self serve wash and everything was ok because I did the work. Came back two weeks later for a full service for our miniature schnauzer. I had explained to the groomer that I wanted a schnauzer cut. When I returned to pick up our dog, her beard was cut off and what was left was all crooked. She now looks more like a duck. Schnauzers have beards that's part of the breed, why would you cut it off? Also she still had brown stains on her fur from the soil in our yard, guess the shampoo did not work. When I was checking out the girl said it is from the saliva, interesting. After having the dog for eight years I learned about dog saliva changing fur colors, wow learn something every day! DAY CARE & SELF WASH: The pricing here is very reasonable, however, it is a bit older and run down than other facilities in the area -- the dogs probably don't care and it is a sign loads of people use it! The staff was nice. DAYCARE: I would not take my dog to their day care again. The dogs are left alone unsupervised. There were four dogs, plus mine, in their yard. For me, that's totally not okay, ever. Their temperament test is a whopping 5 minutes whereas other day-care's in the area are 3-4 hours (most don't charge for their temperament tests so that's not correlated) For me and others who have babies and not dogs this isn't up to my standard. However, if it were a dog to be stuck in a crate at home uncared for I'd say they were better off at dippity dog than being locked and alone at home. If you don't hold your dog to this golden standard as me and other crazy people do, this day care will be okay. SELF WASH: The self wash is pretty straight forward. The staff is very helpful. Again it appears the facility is a little older, but that's fine. The water temperature was perfect and you don't have to sit there fiddling with it yourself. They wash down the tub before you use it and give you a towel, shampoo, a standard human hair brush, and you get to use the high powered blow dryer. The blow dryer worked better than any I've used at doggy self washes. What's the best? You don't have to clean up your mess. It was hard for me to leave a messy tub since I felt bad doing so. I got the chunks of hair out but it was dirty. It's pretty nice after breaking your back bathing your dog you don't have to somehow hold your dog and wash the area down, too. Overall this place is okay. Again, I wouldn't do the day care since I wouldn't ever tolerate my dog being bullied or getting into a fight, but the self wash decent and the staff is nice. read more

The lady informed us that her hair around her face was too matted and had to shave it all the way down. I can't believe they would do that without first calling and asking!!!! If they don't have the time to properly groom her then at least call me and I can take the time. Worst grooming ever. Told them I did not want him shaved short. I said he has matting. I stated I did not want him shaved. They asked me to sign saying I understand he has matting. The girl said they would do their best. Told me about two hours. I returned to the shop, and he still was not done. I waited another hour. I asked if they had even started, they said yes left and after talking with my wife, who told me to return and pick him up. When I returned, I saw him on the grooming table getting shaved down - no effort to remove matting. Left very upset and sent my wife to get him. When she arrive, he was crated and would not come out of crate. He is a very friendly and happy dog. The groomer had to put a towel on her hand to drag him from crate. After arriving home, my dog would not leave his crate with exception to eat and to go to the bathroom. He was constantly shaking ears and biting his rear. Took him to the vet three days after the shaving, who said he was shaved improperly/tools, had a poorly expressed anal gland, and in shock. Which was causing him overall discomfort. He had inflammation of the follicles and was giving steroids for a week. All this being said worst grooming ever!!!!! Almost 3 weeks later, he is finally his loving self. read more
