My favorite item by far was the bread service. House-baked rosemary garlic focaccia, honey butter, and a brown butter cronut that genuinely blew me away. Crispy on the outside, doughy and flaky on the inside... it was my first cronut experience and I will ABSOLUTELY be having another. I always assumed a cronut would be more "nut" than "cro" but I am not mad at it one bit! The hugo spritz was a solid start, and the oysters were pretty good as well. The lamb rack was fine, nothing that stood out at this price point. Unfortunately the lobster bisque was the low point of the night for me, something tasted off so I personally only had a bite. For a resort steakhouse with these price tags, I would have hoped everything came out perfectly. My husband took me here for Valentine's Day and it was a total success. This was probably one of the best restaurants he has taken me to celebrate Valentine's. The bread service was so delicious and fresh! Like that honey butter just melts in your mouth and the cronut a whole other experience. My husband had the skirt steak with roasted mushrooms and it was delighted with it. I had the seafood platter with a side of lobster Mac and cheese. Omg! What an experience. Nights were cold so we decided to stay in and eat at the Hilton. It was so good we decided to eat there again after the races on Saturday. Order your filet or steak charred for exceptional flavor. They prepared it perfectly charred and medium just the way I like it. Service was outstanding and the wine selections were very good. Stayed here for a weekend and was not in the mood to venture out of the hotel for dinner so I made reservations at Prime. I had some alcoholic beverages at the pool during the day and felt lazy so I just wanted to stay in but wanted a good steak. Prime offered exactly what I wanted. The ribeye was BOMB! The truffle potatoes were a perfect pairing for my steak. The patatas bravas were delicious. The ambiance was really nice. Dim lighting. Quiet dinner. Nice tables. I recommend the ribeye. The New York strip was good too. Everything was cooked perfectly. Service was a little slow but they cook all steaks to order so maybe that's why things took longer. We had a terrible experience during our Christmas dinner. We had a 9 PM reservation, but there was no hostess to greet us upon arrival. The bartender had to notify the server of our arrival and we waited until the table was cleaned. When the server finally came to seat us, he didn't greet us, smile, or make any effort to be welcoming. Instead, he made a rude comment that set a negative tone for the evening. Service was painfully slow--we waited a long time just to get menus and place our orders. The server even forgot my drink order. When my steak finally arrived, it was overcooked (well done instead of how I ordered it). I had to send it back, which further delayed the meal. The overall experience was appalling. Sebastian, our server, displayed none of the professionalism or hospitality one would expect in this industry. This ruined what was supposed to be a special Christmas dinner with my parents. We will never return and cannot recommend this restaurant. The only pleasant part of the night was the busser sunny, he was helpful, attentive and friendly and basically the only one that cared. read more

The A5 lacked flavor and was not cooked properly but they made up for it with main courses. 8 of us shared all the apps and the Lobster Mac and Cheese took the cake. Broccolini was cooked very well and my steak was excellent. We ordered 1 of each dessert as well and I would recommend the chocolate cake, the Crème brûlée, and the Key lime as my top chooses. The cheesecake was a bit dry. The service was amazing as well, very knowledgeable and polite. My big judge is whether a place keeps my water glass filled and they did it to perfection. It had a bourbon sauce to it that was sweet yet smoky. Very delicious. Decided with the 16oz filet with the truffle crust and a side of chimichurri. The steak was so tender and cooked too perfection. The chimichurri was on the oily side yet very delicious and a compliment to the meat. Ended the night with a New York cheesecake which was very delicious. Not too heavy or creamy. I came here under heavy recommendation by many people. After the hotel reopened, they took a bit of time to reopen (July 2021). The process was very easy to make a reservation, Megan was great. I ordered their mule, which was very good! I opted for the 45 day aged strip steak and it was cooked to medium rare. It was OK, but definitely not worth the premium price ($72). The tater tots were a bit soggy - would have preferred them crispier. The biggest turn off is their apparent limitation on how many small rolls of sourdough one can get. The bread/table busser told me that I had exceeded my limit of TWO rolls when I asked for a third. Not sure how much they're hurting by giving me an additional roll, especially with a $138 check for one person. Would not recommend. read more

The restaurant was super busy. Don't feel bad if you didn't pack any nice clothes because people were dressed in shorts and t shirts. I thought the food and service were great. We loved the Burrata salad which is a new item they're testing out. The crème brûlée was delicious too. This restaurant, located inside The Diplomat, is an upscale, American styled restaurant with a very specific menu where anyone can find something to enjoy. I ordered the half chicken, steak fries and wedge salad and mixed vegetables which consisted of rainbow carrots and leeks in a mild olive oil. The chicken was well-prepared, spatchcock, I believe, and plenty of rosemary, seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection. Juicy, tender and flavorful. Those carrots were amazing, I even finished them COLD the next morning! I'm big on veggies though. I have to say, I don't know what they did to those steak fries, but I'm pretty addicted to them. Wow! the salt, the light crunch, long and thick.. It's the ultimate French fry. They really nailed it. I ordered them two nights in a row actually! haha! My least favorite was the wedge salad. It wasn't wedge, there wasn't the bleu cheese, the lettuce was flavorless - which is common, but the as though it had been stored in temperatures a bit too cold, so it was rather limp. I was staying at the Diplomat Resort for a recent work conference when Hurricane Nicole also decided to make a last minute visit. As a result, with tropical force winds and rain, my friends and I opted to stay in and eat at the Diplomat Prime. This is the only fine dining restaurant on the resort property. It is open Tues-Sat. It has your typical steakhouse menu and I ate here two nights in a row. I had the 16 oz NY strip which was huge (two meals for me!). The quote, "my eyes were bigger than my stomach" was quite true. I also opted for a side of foie gras because why not? My friend got the coconut curried carrot bisque and we split the lobster mac & cheese (so much cheesy goodness) and the tater tots. For dessert, we split the gingerbread cake with chocolate mouse. We both thought the gingerbread was a little dry but the mousse was delicious. We probably should have asked for a side of whipped cream because that makes everything better. For my second meal, I opted for the crab cake appetizer which was a perfect meal considering I wasn't super-hungry. The crab cake is quite large and lots of crab meat. For dessert, we split the citrus trio and pumpkin pie. Delicious! Overall, I really enjoyed my dinners. This is definitely an expensive steakhouse. Service was excellent. read more

I had the opportunity to go to this restaurant and I had to send back two different soups. One of them was EXTREMELY salty and the other one didn't have any flavor whatsoever NONE. We were there for a bachelorette party. The decor in the lobby reminds me of a tropical escape. The restaurant main event is the steak but they have other options if you are not eating steak. You can get the sides a la carte as well. We had a large group so we all got one of the sides and shared family style. I got the octopus as my entree and it was filbert flavorful. Some places can get octopus wrong and it comes out very rubbery tasting. This dish was perfectly tender. I enjoyed all of the delicious sides and this is a great place to come and celebrate. I had the Caesar salad that had sardines on top. It was seriously the best Caesar salad I've ever had and the sardines was a nice touch. I then had the lobster risotto and it was amazing. It was filled with lobster. I then ended the meal with crème brûlée. All of my dishes came out fresh and hot. I also went in on a Saturday night and my food did not take all night to come out.
