Vanilla with rainbow sprinkles... Childhood dream!
    Danielle T.

Love this place! Everyone is here on a summers eve ready to chat about the game and celebrate with a sweet treat! We stopped in right before it got crazy with kids and each got some soft serve. Fast efficient serve, staff was ready to move some cones! I got a cone with vanilla soft serve and rainbow sprinkles. My family got the twist with fudge. All were delicious! Highly recommend stopping in for a treat as long as you beat the crowds before dusk!

They serve up some of the best Connecticut ice creams from local brand like Salam Valley Farms, Praline's, Big Dipper, and Buck's Ice Cream, just to name a few. There are many, many flavors to choose from and toppings that they offer flights. They even have ice cream nachos & affogatos. It's a must to get more than one flavor. I tried a scoop of Blueberry Cheesecake & Raspberry White Chocolate in a waffle cone. They were delicious with a lot of flavor. My favorite was the Raspberry White Chocolate because it had a lot of white chocolate chips. The other people I was with got a scoop of Cookie Monster in a cup and Coffee Cookies n' Cream Milkshake. The staff was super nice and quick with the busy mall crowd. They do have a hand-held menu with the descriptions of the ice creams because the amount of ice cream in the freezers can get overwhelming. The shop opened next to the food court which was very convenient for seating. I really love this new addition to the mall, especially that it is all local ice creams. Five out of five stars all day for me!

There were a few cars in the lot and not a ton of people on a Friday early afternoon. They had a lot of plants and produce around, and a huge area with pumpkins that they have priced by the pound. I quickly found a pumpkin the idea size for me, and a woman working there quickly rung me up (all cash only here!). I let her know I'd also be grabbing ice cream so we both walked to the ice cream area and I grabbed a salted caramel in a cone, about $6. There were some interesting flavors I wasn't sure of, and she happily explained. There's numerous benches around so I finished up around there, and then went and said hi to some of the farm animals milling about. Cute vibes, good ice cream! I believe they close the ice cream shop for the season at the end of October, so I'll try to be back before then!

Did not like that the pistachio was green rather than white but it was pretty good. Some seating outdoors as there was a gazebo and another covered area with tables. I may try this place again if in the area but would not make the 35 minute trek otherwise.

According to their story, it's all naturally produced from the milk of their 300 cows housed at Arethusa Farm in Litchfield, CT. The menu is packed with delicious and interesting flavors, and taste-testing is gladly allowed. My daughter got a cup of the mint chip, while I opted for a waffle cone with sweet cream and chocolate. Both were absolutely delicious. The ambiance is that of an upscale ice cream spot. The interior features a bright, clean, and welcoming black-and-white design, with framed photos of their farm cows lining the walls. There is no traditional table seating inside--just two benches and some standing room--so it is mostly an order-to-go setup. It is also conveniently located right around the corner from the Yale University campus, making it a perfect treat to enjoy while walking. The service can be a little on the slow side, but that's likely because they graciously let everyone sample flavors. The employees are incredibly friendly, engaging, and informative about the shop's most popular scoops. An absolute must-visit in New Haven.
