Wow this place makes a good burger. I love gravy so the idea who dipping my burger was very exciting. I ordered for take away so I sat about 15 minutes waiting for my order. By the time I got home it did get a little soggy and the bun was falling apart. I went with the burger and lamb. Although I feel like they put the beef instead unless that's just how their lamb tastes. This was gooey cheesy goodness. The gravy is just extra deliciousness. If I would change anything, I'd skip the extra meat next time. The burger already has enough going on to save a couple £. The fries are very good too. The seasoning makes them easy to gobble up. I saw they have a lunch combo and it seemed like a good deal. After having the burger I have been craving it to have again, it's that good.

I'm happy that Dip & Flip no longer just a one-off Burger joint in Clapham Junction station on Northcote Road. They have opened up a second location on the Wimbledon Broadway a while back and now are in tooting as well - staking their burger claims across the southwest of London. Their unique selling point is their application of thinly sliced roast beef to their flagship dip&flip burger - it's served with a dish of au jus dipping sauce. They top things with gooey, American-style liquid cheese, they leave it to you to figure out how to deal with this gloppy mess of amazingness. Bridging the world of the cheeseburger and the French dip sandwich to messy effect. The Flip & Dip is the top-end of the menu, clocking in at £9.95 - but you can start on the other end of the scale at £5.25 for a basic patty melt (non-cheesed burger). I find the decision to use squeezy cheese for their cheese fries and cheeseburgers a polarizing choice. If you don't like the nacho-esque style cheese, then leave it off! The venue itself is a cool, retro decor that is hip these days in London. post WWII vintage graphics adorn the walls inside and the 60s-style chairs remind me of old public school seats from history class. The only drawback is that the joint gets loud. Really loud. Definitely worth a try if you've got a mighty appetite and don't mind getting a bit messy. It's a gooey mass of goodness that somehow works! I write more in-depth on my website, beeffanatic.com so check it out!

Love the concept of dipping burgers, toasted sandwiches, chips and pickles in a bath of tasty gravy. So messy but so f*ing delicious! Burger patty was juicy but the best part was the added slices of gravy dipped roast beef in the burger!

    Yum

You get a portion of gravy on the side with all dishes, so I finished my meal off dipping my remaining fries.

I've come back to visit London several times since then (most recently in September) and its amazing how all the shops have changed on this block but this sandwich shop still remains! I am sooo glad it's still here! Seriously the best sandwiches, hot dishes such as Samosas- still cheap and fast service! Love that the locals come here everyday and know they can get the best sandwich or hot food from here! I'm obsessed with their simple bacon and egg sandwich (all comes on a baguette) I get it with no sauce of any kind. My second choice- chicken with corn. Simple yet so tasty. No need a million toppings-

I came here 9 years ago when I was a student and vowed to come back to try more tasty treats. I did just that and brought my husband this time! We ordered: -Tandoori sandwich (hot) -Peri Peri Chicken sandwich (hot) Both were so delicious, huge, and under 3 pounds (which is unbelievable)! I would say peri peri chicken was the tastiest. The flavor was on point and had a good kick of spice. If you want to save money and are in the area-maybe to go visit the V&A or another museum, come grab a quick meal to go here first and then have a picnic!

I'm not sure on that, it's just something I thought we caught on to before we left and there started to be RESERVED tents going on the tables. We went and had Scotch Egg, Calamari, Arancini, fish & chips and STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING. Oh. My. Goodness! First the Scotch Egg. I don't want to be a Debbie Downer but it was....ok. It was a little plain. A little tasteless. They could have thrown a few spices into the meat, just a little something. To say that we've made better at home wouldn't be far out. But still good. The calamari was cooked just right. It's what you expect out of a calamari appetizer. Was it the best you'll ever have? Not really. Worth the price? Add it to your appetizer list! The rice balls, which is arancini is, were good. Add a little salt to the top and they were, also, as you'd expect. The fish & chips were exactly as we were hoping when visiting an English Pub for fish & chips. The fish was perfectly cooked, the coating was fabulous, and of course the chips were a perfect compliment to the fish. A great fish & chips experience. The star of the show was the Sticky Toffee Pudding. What a treat! Granted I've nothing to compare it to, this was my first time having it, but whether I've had it before or not THIS was perfection. Perfect texture, the flavour was amazing, the caramel drizzle was perfectly proportioned, and the little bit of ice cream on the side was just perfect. I would go back here simply on this dessert alone. As for the drinks, because, you know, it's a pub....I couldn't say. I don't drink alcohol but my Diet Coke was great! Fresh bottle! ....I suppose I could have gotten a non-alcoholic beer. Wait....did they have non-alcoholic beer there? SOMEONE FIND OUT IF THEY HAVE NON-ALCOHOLIC BEER THERE. The atmosphere was great. I can see how it would be perfect in the evening and on into the night. Very welcoming with a great looking bar.
