I had no idea what this chain of restaurants was or that they also have a location in New York but my stomach and taste buds were in for an amazing treat! Their serving sizes are huge and they are definitely worth trying so bring your appetite, as my plate was comprised of a burger, a piece of lobster, salad and fries. The lobster was cooked to perfection and the butter was flavorful. The burger was delicious as well. We sat at the bar area and had a really good server that gave us recommendations, as my friend did not wish to eat a burger and they had other options for her liking. Burger and lobster is pretty much telling you what it is. It's a restaurant that sells burgers and also lobsters and in some dishes it also comes with both of them. Came here for dinner one night and decided to walk in here to try this place out for the first time. We didn't make reservations but they got us a table to sit at for our party of three. Two of us ordered the burger and lobster combination which also comes with fries and a salad. It was super huge and a big portion so if you are hungry get this option. My other friend decided to try the lobster roll which is a smaller portion but she did say it was pretty good. Since two of us had ordered the burger and lobster there was a slight confusion when I wanted to add cheese on my burger. In the end though they did end up fixing the issue. I like this fact because it means they have focused on those few things to make them GREAT. the back of the menu has pictures and instructions on what is the best way to eat a lobster. They provide all the tools (lobster cracker, 8inch pick, bib, wet-towels). Hamburgers can be served with cheeseburgers and/or baking and anyone non of the combinations mentioned. I was in the area and arrived right around opening at noon so there was no wait. I was seated at the bar and the bartender immediately noticed my American accent. We got to taking about the restaurant and its origins. This is the original location of burger and lobster so if you want to see where it all began, come here. I ordered the steamed (also available in grilled) half lobster and it came with fries and a small salad. The butter sauce was amazing and should be drizzled on everything. Their concept is quite simple which explains their huge success and opening off their New York location. Given its only over the pond, if there isn't demand the brand would fail. Luckily they did things right and I'm looking forward to coming back again to this chain. Don't worry about getting down and dirty. Thats how you should be eating seafood. There's nothing more romantic than cracking the shell off a lobster so man up and dig in. Everyone else is doing it. I left with a lighter wallet (London is a very expensive city) but the food was great and I would so it again. The waiter was kind enough to give me an extra bib and an Oyster card sleeve to take home with me. It was his third day on the job. Highly recommended. read more

Ended up going here after just being out and about for the day taking in some of the typical tourist sites. Glad I made the slight detour after seeing the photos and reviews on Yelp for it. The place was crowded when I arrived (late lunch on a Friday), but was able to get a seat at the bar quickly. Service was attentive and everyone in the place seemed to be enjoying themselves. First meal in London! There are a number of locations in London, but this one was a super convenient 6-minute walk from our hotel. We opted to sit at the bar to avoid the 15 minute wait for a table. Our first task was ordering cocktails. I chose the BL Burger Bellini (£9), which had strawberry, hibiscus, lemon, and fizz. A lovely drink even in the dead of early winter. My BF got the B&L does Gin & tonic (£9), a twist on a classic gin and tonic with peach, grapefruit, and cucumber tonic. We decided to get the B&L combo, which is a 1.26 lb lobster and a 5 oz burger for £36. If you're going to come to Burger & Lobster, how can you not order the two quintessential menu items that this restaurant specializes in? We chose the lobster to be grilled. It's also served with a salad and chips (French fries for us Americans). Both the burger and the lobster were phenomenal. Cooked to perfection, oozing with juices and melted butter. It was like a symphony exploded into song in my mouth. So mouth-wateringly delicious. Chatting a bit with our server/bartender, we found out that this is actually a small global chain. There are even a couple of locations in NYC. They get their beef from a farm in Nebraska, and the lobster is sourced from Nova Scotia. Excellent food and great service. Yum!! The place was packed so do make reservations. Our server was fun and friendly. We had hors d'oeuvres at our hotel, so asked if we could split the burger and lobster combo. Not only was that okay, but when we hesitated over steamed versus grilled lobster, our waitress said she could do half and half!
