Don't get me wrong I love Ding Tea but the service is ALWAYS SLOW and it takes 15 minutes for me to get my drink every time I go in. whether it be empty or have a few people in front of me. now I do only see about 2 workers,so many hire more people? the only thing I didn't understand was that this guy called 4 other people's number including mine,all at once. so were all our drinks done this whole time you just didn't want to call it one by one? because I know the guy who was already waiting before me had been there for awhile. so do they have to go & steep my tea? or like how does this process work because the only thing that keeps me coming back is their strawberry milk tea. read more

My all-time favorite boba place! I usually just go with the signature milk tea but their other drinks are bomb too! Only con is the wait time... it typically takes anywhere from 15-30 minutes for your drink(s). Luckily they opened up another ding tea place not too far from this one. I have been here two times already. I had okay experiences both times. The place is small but there's room for a couple of groups to sit. The design of the place itself is minimalistic and nice (in my opinion). The service also was not too bad. My first time I had the Hokkaido Milk Tea. If you enjoy Boiling Point's and/or Jazz Cat's Hokkaido Milk Tea then you probably won't enjoy their version of it. I didn't really know what to expect but to be honest I was disappointed. I mean it was drinkable but not enjoyable. The second time I had the Signature Milk Tea. I enjoyed this one more but the only problem I had this time is the amount of ice they put in my drink (I should've said easy/less ice like I did the first time). I feel like I'm not getting my money's worth (I got a Large too) because at least half of the drink is just ice. Overall if you just need a quick boba fix especially for the evening times, this place has pretty nice hours. read more

I am always on the lookout for a great boba place that serves coffee milk tea. It's a bit on the bland side, however get extra sweetener and golden boba and its pretty yummy. The hokkaido coffee is pretty tasty as well. The decor is modern, but small. It can get crowded in this place, just because it's a small boba shop. Parking is horrendous here. Predominately an Asian area, so parking lot antics are hilarious with double parking, idling in lanes, parking way to close and my favorite just blocking in a motorist so they can't leave. I came here on an afternoon today and it wasn't that crowded. My drink came out in a jiff & surprisingly, I expected their teas to be sub-par but it was really good (I got the lychee green tea). Only downer was that they didn't have their original boba, I guess they ran out? Other than that, the store decor was super cute and there was also a monitor running a short love story film commercializing their franchise! Personally thought that was really cute. The only drink I get here is the signature milk tea and I usually get it with golden boba. I actually really like the taste of it, it's the right amount of tea. The golden boba is really good too! They forgot my order, and I have been waiting here for 20 minutes. When they realized that they skipped my order, the workers just laughed it off and didn't say shit. Their slow service doesn't compare to any other boba chain here such at 7 Leaves or Tasteas. Their drinks are yummy but are not worth it. I love dingtea!!!! Ever sine they just opened about 2-3 years ago. I always come here for my boba crave which is quite often (3-4 times per week) But i guess it's time for me to move on (lol) and start hunting another boba place even though it could be challenging because i try almost every single boba shop around my area already, still love Dingtea the most. But their waiting time now is super super super crazy!! 45 minutes for just 1 cup of jasmine milk tea!! how hard is that for you to make that long for 1 drink. I know they're busy but come on, the place is very tiny, hence u will see lots of people crowded in there but actually it's not that many people, it's just because their shop is too small. Hence it shouldn't be that long to make drinks. The problem is they have super slow, relax-attitude working employees. Plus they never smile at you when you first come in, keep in mind that :) And they NEVER pick up their damn phone too. So great! read more

I ordered to go because I thought that it would be a quick in and out but no little did I know that the exact opposite was going to happen. I placed my order and was told that my number was 205. Cool. I expected my drink to be ready to go as soon as I got there but no. They placed my drink at the END of the line they had WHEN I GOT THERE. Like wouldn't you expect them to make the to go drinks when they're placed so that they're ready to go when the customer got there??? Granted, they probably didn't want the drink to get watered down but another person came in after me, payed, got her drinks, and left in no time. Me on the other hand was waiting there for at least 15 minutes before I had to go up to the counter and ask where my drink was because I had been waiting for my drink for some time. They went through number 204, 206-213 before they got to mine. Mind you my number is 205... also, when I went up to the counter to ask where my drink was, the cashier acted irritated. I just wanted my drink and of course I would be aggravated because they skipped my number so many times!! Ugh, never coming back again. read more

There's a new competing boba joint in bolsa located in the tiny bolsa mini mall across from Pho Thang Long and Luc Dinh Ky! With its long list of various Taiwanese teas, this place definitely has a chance of making it here! They even have some yakult yogurt drinks that add a yummy tart kick. I went with the top fruit tea because I couldn't decide on one fruit tea and this one combined a bunch of them. It wasn't too sweet and the boba was small but chewy! My boyfriend went with the strawberry yakult and he loved it so much he ordered another one.. both were larges!! BUTTTT make sure to ask for light ice though otherwise your large will basically be a small - a big reason why I had to take away a star because even when my bf ordered light ice on his second drink, it still came pretty heavy on ice. The service there is great though, the staff is very friendly and helpful with helping you decide! I'll definitely be back to try a bunch more! read more

One of my friends, who drink a lot boba milk tea, keep telling me that this place has the best milk tea in town, so I was really eager to try it out. I ordered Signature Milk Tea with Boba and Sea Cream and I was disappointed. First of all, service was very slow. Secondly, they forgot the Sea Cream. Lastly but most importantly, the tea was so watered down that I was barely able to taste it. The only good thing about my drink was the boba. Honestly, I was able to get a better drink at 85 degree at a cheaper price. I am reluctant to come back, but as my friend had such a high opinion about this place, I guess I will give it another try. read more

Hooray for new a boba shop! Not like there isn't one in every corner in Garden Grove already, but nonetheless I'm happy this shop is here. This is located on the corner of Bolsa and Bushard, which is across from snow monster. Its actually a pretty cute little boba shop--I could see myself coming here at night and grab some drinks with a few friends and just chat for a while. ANYWAYS, they have a good selection of tea, juice, and latte. I especially like that you can customize the sweetness of your drinks as well as the ice level. They remind me of Cha for Tea, which is one of my top favorite boba shop in orange county. I had their honey green tea, which was perfectly sweeten and their boba were just how I like it--not over or under cooked. The pricing for these drinks are pretty darn good, nothing is about 3.50 AND I feel like they give you a lot for your what you're paying. I just want to mention that the staffs here are very nice, a little quite thought BUT they do make great tea and they are very generous about the portion control which is an A+ in my book. If you are living that boba life, you need to try out this shop! read more

Walked into this branch of Dingtea on a Friday afternoon hoping to pick up one of my favorite drinks, a passion fruit and kumquat green tea. What i received instead was bad attitude and poor customer service from the cashier. She rudely told me they don't mix that drink and i was appalled because i'm pretty sure the Ding Tea in Garden Grove makes this drink. I can't really say much on service because they take your order and that's pretty much it. No "hi welcome" or "thanks for coming in." Just order, payment, wait, wait, wait, wait some more then you get your order. And you'd think after waiting 15-25 minutes waiting on your one cup of freshly brewed milk tea that they'd get a simple order right. But you'd be wrong. I ordered a signature milk tea with boba and coffee jelly and I asked her before I gave her my payment "so that's with boba and coffee jelly right? Coffee?" She confirmed " yes large signature milk tea with boba and coffee jelly." Low and behold, I receive aloe Vera in my drink. Really? I was too tired to argue because after a long day of work, you want to destress with a good cup of boba. But to wait almost half an hour and for them to mess up multiple orders before mine, and then on top of of that to mess up mine too. YUMMMMMMMMMMY! DRINKS HERE have gotten me so hook, I drink it almost every other day. HOKKAIDO why are u so goooood! lol I know filled with sugar but it's worth it! The go-to drink is Hokkaido black milk tea with crystal boba. I always order it half sweet so i don't feel too guilty drinking their teas. Works out right? I recently ordered just a few days ago, and when i got my drink i noticed something a little off. Working for a tea house in the past, i am a boba queen. SO immediately i open up my drink and go through it. Picking out the boba, i noticed immediately the crystal boba was all falling apart. It was either left out too long or just spoiled. My co-worker was the one who picked up our drinks. So it was too late to bring it back and get new ones. The person that i spoke to on the phone was so nice and let me come back the next day to get two new drinks fixed. Not everything is always perfect, thats why they still deserve 5 stars. Ding Tea really doesn't deserve all of the hype that it normally gets. Every time I come here (which has been a total of 4 times), I come with an open mind to give it another chance, yet I'm always disappointed. So far, I've had their lychee black tea, oolong milk tea, and wintermelon milk tea. None are nowhere near satisfying and I find myself struggling to even finish my drink (and that's coming from someone who LOVES boba). Their boba is good, up until the point where it's put into your drink; there's absolutely no flavor after that. I most likely won't be giving it a 5th chance anytime soon :/ read more
