we had a ding tea back home (hou, tx) and i wasnt a huge fan but this location was not bad. i got a mango yogurt 75% with rainbow jelly. the first couple tastes i was skeptical but the more i drank it the more i liked it. others in my party got the yakult version but i would say its more tart than the yogurt vers. they have a lot of different teas slushies and drinks to choose from. the service was quick and convenient as we were stopping in while waiting for a table at a restaurant. overall, it's your average boba/tea shop. read more

Pretty good boba tea joint. Ding tea is the largest Taiwanese beverage brand in China. I am more of a mom and pop consumer, and not a fan of chains. However, I've had the honey green tea, passion fruit flavored tea, and passion fruit juice here. I would highly recommend the honey green tea. Add their GOLDEN BOBA to your tea. I really love oolong teas, and ding tea has the best oolong milk tea in my opinion. I've also had their signature milk tea which of course is really good. It's their signature milk tea after all! Also I almost always order boba in my drinks when I go to ding tea. Their boba is the perfect consistency for me!! I think they also semi-recently added Thai milk tea. My nephew loves Thai milk tea so whenever i have to babysit him, I always get him some. We've gone to the ding tea in Aliso/Mission Viejo and tried their Thai tea and he did not like it. But when we went to this location he said it actually tastes like Thai milk tea. If it's good enough for my nephew, who is a Thai milk tea connoisseur, it'll be good enough for you :) The only reason I'm not giving this location 5 stars is because it's a pretty small location and the parking in this plaza sucks. Their boba was pretty darn good! It had a nice chew to it, not too soft but not too hard either, it was just right. Came here after dinner around 730ish and the place was pretty packed. Like much of the other reviews, the wait for drinks was rather long, however it didn't take 25+ min for one drink but 15-20 for eight drinks. It is definitely slower than other boba places I've been in Orange County, like, Tastea or 7leaves. For the amount of workers they had, they should be cranking out drinks left and right. All in all, experience was mediocre, especially when I got my drink, it wasn't filled to the top and they forgot ice in my drink! *sighs* I had gotten the Jasmine Green Milk Tea with boba , the tea was okay, nothing special but gotta give it to them, they have bomb a** boba, as mentioned above. Luckily when I came it was empty inside there were seats and tables available. I was lucky enough to get my drink faster during the second time I came - probably because there was a lot of customers and they needed to keep up? Dingtea was utterly disappointing. Their "grand opening" banner was up and the line was out the door so we thought why not? Dingtea Bolsa is the first US location for this Taiwanese tea house. Interesting location for a Taiwanese boba spot in the heart of Westminster. Jasmine Green Milk Tea w/ Egg Pudding -- Extremely bland JMT. The tea didn't taste like it was brewed enough as the drink tasted watered down. That being said, the flavor of Jasmine definitely didn't come through so what I really got was an extremely bland cup of milk tea. The egg pudding wasn't sweet and didn't have much of an egg flavor. It was almost like a flavorless pudding. I wasn't completely upset as it was the second stop (Eiswelt Gelato is in the same plaza) and we stumbled onto it by accident. I got the Signature Milk Tea, medium, with golden boba (3.30 + .50 for boba) and it's decent, but nothing too extraordinary. It tastes like a milk tea but less sweet, which is just like any other boba tea shop. The golden boba is just a fancy name for regular boba with a golden color. If it was suppose to taste any different, I didn't taste it since the boba just soaks up the flavor of the milk tea. The boba was fully cooked throughout while the texture is chewy, which is great. This place is definitely a hole in the wall because it's in a discreet shopping plaza on Bolsa. The great part is that it's next to the super cute Eiswalt Gelato and The Loop. Customer service is pretty solid and the atmosphere is very clean. The downside is that it's pretty small inside, like it can fit maybe 16 people okay? But, they also work very quickly to get drinks out. So far, I've had their signature milk tea and jasmine milk tea. Both had a strong tea taste and not overly sweet which is how I like it. Unfortunately, they put a little too much ice in the cup, almost halfway. But, my third drink, the brown sugar milk tea had minimal ice so I guess it depends on the person serving. Even though they close at midnight, their boba was still chewy and not that gross mush you get at boba places right before they close. I really liked the Oolong Milk Tea! You can really taste the Oolong mix in there/ not too sweet and the perfect 'milky-ness.' Prices are fair for boba. Clean interior and quick service. They have a very cramped ordering station and the decor is quite bland, almost looks unfinished. The service wasn't friendly but it wasn't bad. We ordered one drink less sweet and one half sweet and both were still overly sugary compared to our other favorite ding tea locations. In the heart of Westminster where there are tons of Tea Lounges, we decided to give this place a shot. It has a lot of options for tea and coffee as well. My sister kept telling me to try to Original Milk Tea here as she was raving about it. So I got that along with the golden boba. I had my sweetness down to 50% and very light ice for that. That's the good thing about Tea lounges like this where you can customize sweet and ice levels. The service is very good here as everyone is nice and have smiles on their faces.
