Dimes Deli has a cozy, small diner feel with counter seating only, which gives it a laid-back, intimate vibe. The service was friendly and attentive, and it's a nice spot if you're looking for something casual and a bit on the healthier side. I had the breakfast burrito with added bacon, and it was delicious with a great mix of flavors with the mango salsa, sweet potato, and avocado, but it was definitely on the smaller side. Same with the Pep Talk (their sake espresso martini), which was tasty and served in a cute little glass. Overall, everything was high quality, but portions run small, so it may feel a bit pricey for the size. Still a solid choice if you're not super hungry and want something lighter. read more

Consider yourself fortunate if you don't know what Dimes Square is, because you would've saved yourself some confusion trying to understand the microneighborhood named for this eatery I'm writing about today. Technically Dimes Square is named for the original Dimes next door, known for drawing a crowd of models, men with buns, and self-important young people who may have benefited from a trust fund or two. Dimes Deli is the casual sister eatery to Dimes, and gives off a diner vibe, but with things like poke and gazpacho on the menu. There is no discernible cuisine or theme, except that the menu leans healthy. I ordered both poke and gazpacho which were nice for the humid night I was there but didn't do much for my tastebuds. As much as I poke fun at those who like places like this I'm actually in this target demo. I'd very much enjoy a healthy bowl with a dragonfruit lavendar coconut water smoothie on the side, but only if executed well, and this meal was wholly unmemorable. read more

Employees clearly are miserable working there! Can't even get a hello when they are busy worried about "I haven't clocked in yet" I come from this industry so trust me I know how it goes but when you have bad energy that shouldn't affect the business!' To the point where I didn't even eat my breakfast burrito handed it to a homeless guy outside! Beautiful place just nasty attitudes! Love and stay blessed read more

Very amazing customer service. The white dude wearing a hat was straight to the point and met my needs.

Easiest 5 star of my life. Eat like a New York, Lower East Side native. Chilaquiles with chicken and avocado. White smoothie. Whatever the seasonal egg bowl has. The soba noodles. The coffee is fantastic. Staff is always so happy and helpful. Vibe is immaculate. read more

I heard so many good places about this place. I LOVE healthy light food Iike this so I was so excited to try it. It didn't flop, but it did not exceed my expectations. I got the big winter salad and I wish it had more vegetables in it. The seaseme dressing is though. Salad itself was ok thou, don't know if I would get again. I would probably try something else on the menu, and YES there is several vegan options, but for how healthy and granola-y this place markets itself I thought it would have more vegan options tbh..... also got the green smoothie. Also mid. Not really a smoothie more of a pulpy juice. Way to much pulp to be a smoothie Lol. I wouldn't get what I ordered again, but I would definitely return back to try something else. So 3 stars vibes read more

Actually insane service. Simply went in for drinks and the person working genuinely threw the menus on the counter at us, mine with enough force it slid over the counter. Rest of the service was surly, uncomfortable, and strange. You know how Brandy Melville feels like, especially when the curtains don't close all the way in the fitting rooms and you're in there no shoes on half undressed, chilly asf trying to fit into one size jeans? Yeah, that, but with grown adults. We came in quietly, weren't being demanding or loud; what an odd little experience. Also no toilet paper in the bathroom. read more

Dimes has a cozy understatedness to it, where you can get a solid breakfast burrito and enjoy watching the neighborhood flow through, a mixture of downtown chic and the ordinary. On my recent morning visit, an A-list celeb was there brunching with his family, totally casual and chill. The breakfast sandwich, with soft egg, avocado, and a whisp of cheddar served on a delicious roll, was my go to. The whole package has tremendous staying power and is more like 2 meals in one for me. I've also eaten at the Dimes main restaurant across the street, and for me, I prefer the counter service and more relaxed vibe of the deli. read more

Dimes Deli - Breakfast Sandwich with egg, cheese, avocado. Delicious value for $8. - Sandwiches Near Me - New York, New York

I don't know about the salads and chia and acai bowls and that hipster healthy stuff, but the sandwiches here are pretty excellent. Just reopened in the original location of Dimes, now as Dimes Deli, they serve a small menu of sandwiches and pre made salads and bowls. They also have some drinks and pastries, including the excellent cookies from Ovenly. I tried the Western Fork ($10) (pulled chicken, taleggio, pickled kale and sundried tomatoes on sourdough Pullman), which was pretty good, but a little bit of a mushy mess after a few bites. On the other hand, the Summer Roll was great ($9). It's basically just a BLT, with a comically large strip of bacon hanging off, but what made it deliciously addictive was the Ssam Sauce slathered on the bun, as well as the slightly crispy, fluffy potato bun it was on. This sandwich is definitely worth trying. This is a great option for some lighter sandwiches and healthier fare. Plus, it's just 2 blocks away from Ice & Vice for a chance to ruin your healthy eating with some really delicious dessert. read more

In the neighborhood and was on a quest to try this "Dimes Acai Bowl" that I keep reading about. Walking up Canal, I saw the Dimes logo on a door to a minimalist shop and was slightly confused but went in. I didn't know it was a little grocery, and the restaurant was next door (tinier than I expected). Now I see- they moved the restaurant to Canal Street and these places are new. BTW- the Dimes Rose Water facial spray looks really lovely.. The Deli offered 2 types of acai bowls, I got the Energy one (banana, dates, blackberries, maca, coconut, rice krispies), recommended by the super friendly employee. The pricing is really high for the quantity. The bowl was about 6" wide and 3" deep. The banana & blackberries on top were very fresh but as for the acai part, it neither tasted strongly of any, or a blend, of the "energy" ingredients listed. The color looked much paler than the restaurants' acai bowls. I guess I shouldn't compare this to Hawaii's bowls either. I got bits of frozen acai? ice pieces with my spoonfuls few times. I wouldn't mind trying their Chex breakfast bars, muffins, or coffee sometime. I doubt I'd pay such steep prices for their sandwiches (Shake Shack size) or pre-packaged Brown Rice Bowls (maybe 1/2 a cup of rice--they DO have poke- but this for $12?) and Salads. Dimes, can this Deli be a bit cheaper than your restaurant pricing? (ie. Cafe Habana to-go) The space is teeny! (6 stools, 2 small booth tables) But it is gorgeously designed. There's nice touches of the white painted wooden ceiling, intricate shelving (pretty ceramics by an artist), the molded kind of adobe sidewall with a triangle and rectangle cut-in display shelf & inset long mirror. Japanese fabrics hanging to conceal a panel and the kitchen. I appreciate the under counter hooks as well! I feel everything has been thought out. Nice labels for returning "dirty utensils" & "dirty cups." However..there seemed to be a pretentious air to the place. I wish I could have taken more pics of the space & food, but a girl dining was side-eyeing, and I also felt that I was in the employee's way chatting with a cool looking friend, though they didn't have much room to move around anyway. Yes, I wish the place was a bit aloha poke acai white-washed walls cacti on shelves rose water welcoming, but it just isn't. read more

I much prefer the more spacious restaurant just a block from this spot but for take away options Dimes Deli is a fairly good option for lunch. The tuna poké is excellent but for a fast casual spot it's a little too pricey.. I think I'll stick to sit-down lunches over at the restaurant.. read more

with summer currently hotter than your breath in the morning, make sure to pack a fan before stepping foot in this sauna. we stepped out into our neighborhood to grab a quick bite to celebrate beare's official arrival in nyc. beare went for the green smoothie (5/10) and big summer salad (6.5/10) which had a surprisingly large serving size. beare enjoyed the hole-in-the wall art gallery deli aesthetic. belly got the grilled chicken bowl (4/10) and mentions that it tasted... like it was made in a spot with an art gallery deli aesthetic. recommend for the aesthetics but maybe not the food. read more

I've been coming here since it was previously its flagship restaurant Dimes. I'm glad Sabrina De Sousa has kept this tiny spot going as Dimes Deli. I love coming in here after my morning runs to grab an egg sandwich or burrito. Dinner favorites are the pickled salmon bowl, the grilled salmon and the soba noodles. I recently tried the roasted chicken bowl. The chicken thigh and leg was perfectly done. But the kale was a bit disappointing. Staff is always friendly and gracious! read more

This is a tiny spot, but never too crowded and I've always been able to get a seat even during peak brunch hours on the weekend. They serve an all day menu, which is great for me because it means their amazing breakfast burrito is always available. Love to come here after yoga and get the breakfast burrito with an iced coffee or their cayenne lemonade, and sit and read for a bit. I've also had their berry acai bowl, which will hit the spot if you have a smoothie bowl craving, but nothing to write home about. read more

Obsessed with this place. I used to volunteer at the library nearby and dropped by here after my shift to grab some lunch. I have tried multiple things on the menu and am so impressed with the quality of the ingredients and the delicious menu items. Think soCal cuisine in Chinatown. So far I've had the poke bowl and farmers salad with chicken. Both delicioso! 4 stars though because the place is TINY and unless if you are over 120 pounds you won't fit inside. Also the people who dine here are .... very hipstery. But the food is so good I'll keep coming back! read more

I came here to get the berry acai bowl for my brother and I was really disappointed. I tried the dimes restaurant and enjoyed their food so I thought why not come here for a express acai bowl since the restaurant wasn't open. I must say this was probably the worst acai bowl I had. It tasted stale, bitter, and icy. Not only did it not taste good it took forever to make something so simple. For $10 I expected better, it's around the same price I normally pay for but it usually taste better. read more

Started the day with both their breakfast sandwich (eggs done properly, though a bit heavy-handed on the sauce) and sumner roll (well-crisped bacon with juicy produce, brilliantly topped with superb ssam sauce) for free (shame both used the same meh bun) via UberEats promo codes. They took a while to even confirm the order, but it at least then arrived sooner than the ETA (thanks to the courier, not Dimes)., read more

its so Yummy i love the breakfast burrito add some bacon and Zomg the chili!!!! yay great service and music too

This spot is an overall disappointment. First, don't come here to work; they don't have Wi-Fi, and instead, encouraged me to bum off a nearby shop's network - sketchy, spotty, and not cool. Second, the granola in my acai bowl was so stale, I almost chipped a tooth. My breakfast burrito's eggs were runny and flavorless. And for mediocre (at best) food, it's wicked over-priced. It's a shame - the atmosphere is cool, the shop is very clean and the location is prime. But I won't be back until they get back to basics. read more

Ive been going to the various Dimes restaurants for as long as they've been open- the concept, well, it's not really a concept, but the idea is great...but its often hit or miss. Mostly just due to lazy, slow, or pretentious service. I always give them another chance, but yesterday I received food that was almost inedible (two breakfast burritos)- not even sure what was off in them, the eggs or the avacados. When I called, the guy who answered was just rude and completely uninterested that they could be serving food that would potentially make someone ill- especially in this time and definitely not one second did he think about a refund...$40 for two burritos, a tiny açaí bow and two coffees.... you'd think they would care a bit more. Lame. read more

Love the energy acai bowl-- I order it most mornings through ubereats. Only complaint would be consistency with the dishes at night. We ordered the energy acai bowl over the weekend at 8 pm and got a soupy, and oddly sparse bowl, missing the dates and blueberries and w/ two little pieces of banana. Shrugs- I just don't order from there at night anymore-- totally recommend otherwise~ :) read more

Food is dope, great for take out. Latte was undrinkable, resulting in a 6 dollar loss for a 12 Oz.

I really like the atmosphere in this store, small but cozy. Take out situation is terrible. The bags they use literally disintegrate within 2 or 3 minutes of walking home. Same goes for the grocery store next door. To make matters worse the clueless clerk stuffed about 20 pounds of groceries into one of these flimsy "bags". Very very cheap bags and every time without fail the bottom breaks and the food is on the floor. There are plenty of places which use eco-friendly bags that are still sturdy and function as a BAG. Step it up already guys!!! Also, staff goofs around way too much. Found myself a few times waiting in line to pay in the packed tiny space while the staff chats with each other or chatting up a customer. Friendliness is nice but not at the expense of being rude to the people who are waiting. This is New York guys step it up!!! The staff treats the place like their hang out spot instead of a place where people pay money for a service. read more

Everyone at Dimes Deli is always so friendly, it's a hip crowd and very nice people running it, who love what they do. The menu is great for a quick snack or sandwich and although this place is small you usually get a seating inside. It's a cute neighborhood spot and I love to come here. read more

My friends and I were trying to go to the Dimes restaurant, but we were so hungry that we accidentally stumbled upon the deli instead. I ordered the Pork Bowl and to my pleasant surprise it was ENORMOUS! It wasn't particularly special, but the apples nicely complemented the pork to create the classic sweet and savory flavor. My friends were all very pleased with their orders; we all sampled the Salmon Bowl, Berry Acai Bowl, and the Madam Patron Sandwich. Great place for a quick lunch! read more

Nice little coffee place. Tasty breakfast sandwich. Pleasant sunlight in the morning.

Ok so currently having the seared salmon bowl and Tuna poke. The bowl is a decent size for somebody like me that gets filled up quickly, as is the poke. Pricing is a bit steep, but I mean come on, you already knew that! The environment is definitely pretentious but hey, I'm a Park Sloper so I should probably hold my tongue.... read more

A smaller location from the original Dimes restaurant but still fantastic! I came on Monday afternoon at Dimes and when I walked in, the waitress told me that it would take at least 45mins wait. Because my friend has work at 3pm, I told her we can't and she suggested me to go to the other location, at Division ST. I ordered a energy acai bowl and my friend got the breakfast burrito. The Acai bowl was filling and delicious! My friend told me that the burrito was amazing and was made perfectly. Definitely coming back again! read more

This is now the second time I've been burned when ordering a simple bagel with cream cheese. The first time, I thought the amount of cc (or lack thereof) was a mistake. Like maybe the person went to add another smear, got distracted and then forgot, packaged it up and sent me on my way. But then the second one came and I now know it was no mistake. In neither instance did I request the smallest amount of cream cheese that you could still charge me for, so all I am left to think is that you guys either hate cream cheese and those who order it or you are skimping to save money. Please go order a bagel from anywhere, ever and you will find the correct amount of cream cheese to put on a bagel. It should be enough to scrape off so it doesn't drip onto my pants, not just a mere suggestion. read more

Come in for the Seared Salmon Bowl. It looks like a small portion but its actually satisfying once you're done, it's full of flavor, their quinoa is amazing, and the salmon isn't overcooked. Juices are a bit overpriced, but you know what you're getting when you step into Dimes Deli! read more

I love this place. They are authentic, and have creative dishes. It's LES's finest deli. They're chili is amazing and unique, using yogurt lime and cardamom.
