I was here on vacation and I wanted to get my nose and ears pierced. I went there after reading yelp reviews and it was better than I expected! The staff took time to actually listen to my concerns and questions, I was not pressured into buying anything I didn't want. They gave me exactly what I came for. A friend wanted to get her belly button pierced and we stopped here because it is not your generic boardwalk "piercing studio" with employees hassling you to come in and get pierced. This shop not only offers piercing and after care, there are some really cute girls clothing and accessories but some really awesome art too. The staff here is very knowledgeable and professional. Great spot for piercings. I just got my nose pierced here and it was so quick, probably about ten minutes (although that might partially be because it's off-season.) The room was clean, the equipment was new, and Dan explained the whole process as he was doing it. My only complaint is that they were out of H2Ocean, but that's nothing to do with the business. I know it's been awhile since I got my Daith piercing but I wanted to see the outcome. I've suffered with chronic migraines most of adult life. Dan did my piercing last April and it's the best money I've spent. I've tried everything for migraines including Botox and acupuncture but the Daith piercing was the key. I had been wanting to get a second piercing on my left nostril. After a day at the beach,my friend and I visited Dimensions and I couldn't be happier. Everything from the retro vibe to the welcoming staff put a smile on my face. Bridget, my piercer, took her time to ensure that my new piercing was aligned with my other nostril piercings. I got my cartilage pierced a few days ago and loved it. But I had to take it out today because of a nasty infection. I'm not sure if this my fault or theirs but the cost of the piercing, the doctors appointment and the antibiotics really adds up. Also Dan, who does the piercing isn't very friendly. read more

I had my nose pierced & I was warned about washing & drying my face so as not to pull my nose stud out! Got a conch (inner part of ear) piercing. The piercer was extremely unprofessional. He hardly said a word to me, didn't even put a dot just cleaned my ear and without any warning just stuck the needle on through. To top it off the jewelry he used was not long enough for the healing process and I ended up having to take the piercing out less then a week later because it hurt so bad I couldn't sleep because it didn't have room to swell due to the bar being too small! What a waste of money!!!! Thought I would give the place a try since it was "American Owned" but i'll have to stick with what I tell my own customers at piercing pagoda.. My friend did a lot of research and decided to go to Dimensions for her tragus piercing. Once there, I decided to start working on some dermals I thought would perfectly accent my rib piece. Dan, both knowledgeable and professional, told me that the picture I had in my head wouldn't transfer onto my body. After looking at the area I wanted pierced he explained the tightness of my skin and ribs would cause my dermals to point in various directions instead of staying flat like I wanted. He said he didn't want me to be unhappy and he said I should walk downstairs to his wife, also very nice, to get a refund. Dermals aren't cheap. I was very impressed that Dan was more concerned about my happiness and the integrity of his work than money. When I decide to get pierced I will be driving the 3.5 hours back to Dimensions, that's for sure! read more

Got a piercing here over a year ago on vacation and have had many problems since. The bar was too short for it to heal at all, and I had to see multiple different piercers at home because of all the problems. They said it was pierced incorrectly and that the piercings didn't sit right in my skin so they couldn't heal. Being back here on vacation again this year, I have still been having problems and lost a piece of the piercing and went there to get it changed. The piercer wasn't even there to help me and the receptionist did her best. He then continued to tell the receptionist that my jewelry change wasn't important enough to come in for and that we would have to wait even though we had asked for an appointment at this specific time. When he did get there he was extremely rude and unprofessional and continued to boost his own ego by saying that he does this stuff all day long and never has any problems. He continued to yell until the process was over and he finally let me go. The only positive thing I have to say is that he didn't make me pay for the new jewelry. read more
