Been here for over a year and I love it! I moved in during the pandemic, and the building was very responsive to the changing phases and COVID protocols, and communication was very frequent through emails and signs around the building. I've also noticed an increased effort in cleaning in the common space areas. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and the handful of times I needed maintenance, they always came promptly. The apartment and amenities itself are pretty good. The gym, though smaller than expected, has high quality equipment like Peloton bikes. The roof has THE BEST 360 degree view I've seen from any building in the area. It's walking distance to EVERYTHING, and there's a convenient bus stop right outside. The Belltown location does come with some crazies outside, and living in a unit that faces 3rd, I have witnessed some police activity. Nonetheless, I think the management has done the best they can (pressure washing the sidewalk, hiring 24 hr security, etc).

I've grown pretty frustrated with this place over the past year, especially during COVID19. Pros: Apartments are pretty nice, not luxury but nicer than everything else in the area I found for the price. Roof is great. Location is good if you like being able to walk to places or want a short commute to work downtown. The front desk people are usually nice and helpful. Groundskeepers/maintenance are friendly and helpful too. Cons: Where do I start. First, I'm still pissed that my locker go broken into and $600 worth of stuff was stolen in my storage room where only a few other tenants and apartment employees have access. The most likely scenario was that the contractors that were hired to install security equipment broke in because they knew the room wasn't being watched. The apartment admitted they left them down there by themselves. So you know no one is watching and you have the tools to break a lock? Sounds like a situation that someone might take advantage of. It certainly makes more sense than one of the other 5 or so tenants stealing things that could easily be identified if they carried them around the building and in areas that already had security cameras. Second, while I like the apartment rooms, one of my sliding doors keeps breaking and getting stuck, and the stove and fridge are smaller than normal which can get annoying after awhile. Also, there is no AC in this building and the windows are not good for blowing air in and getting a breeze. I will acknowledge that the maintenance staff will help make a custom window attachment so you can hook up a portable AC unit you have bought. Regarding the roof. Awesome area that I used to host parties at because it only cost $50 for 5 hours for the club house. Well since people complained that the room was booked too often and probably because they don't like planning ahead, the management raised the fee to $150. This isn't for a deposit like many other apartments do, it is a fee. Not worth $150 to rent for a night. Communication is not great here either. On multiple occasions I've gotten last minute calls asking me to move my car so they can work on the AC unit. One time was at 8am, an hour before the crew arrived. Every single time I've had to ask where I should park. The other day they emailed us warning the power might go out that day. Sometimes I don't get the feeling they prioritize their tenants. Now regarding COVID. The moment management could, they shut everything down: roof, gym, lobbies, etc. Closing the gym makes since due to the law. Closing the outdoor area on the roof and the lobby common area doesn't as long as people social distance. One time I was on the roof and it had not been clear that it had been closed and some of the maintenance guys came up and were side eyeing me for sitting up there. They proceeded to also eat and hang out up there. Two days later an email went out and more signs were posted reminding people that it was closed. I guess rules are only for tenants... Now here is my biggest gripe of late that has pushed me to write a review. No one works the front desk anymore. What this means is that peope delivering packages have a hard time getting in and sometimes can not put their mail in the lockers. So often you will see packages laying around everywhere in the lobby, meaning anyone can come and steal your stuff. When my storage locker was broken into, the management said it wasn't up to them to keep anything secure (literally what they said). So by that logic, you can damn well guess they won't take any ownership if delivery people (who cannot get to the storage lockers) just leave packages laying out even though the reason they cannot delivery your packages adequately is 100% the fault of management. Also, tenants are asked to not let anyone in when walking into the building, so once again, how are people supposed to deliver packages? The other big issue is the safety outside of the building. We have plenty of homeless and drug addicts hanging out around the building. I also frequently see people yelling outside. In the past, people working the front desk would ask people to leave (I've seen it happen). Now, nothing is done about it. While I understand the homeless have to have somewhere to go, my wife and I worry that we could easily get harassed trying to enter and leave the building. That isn't something we should have to deal with. So my point is, management needs to stop being cheap and put people at the front desk again. Built into our rent is money that goes to pay for the upkeep and security of our building. At this point part of my monthly rent is paying for a service that I am not getting. I would give this place a 3 star review. But after 2 and half months of management not doing anything around here, I'm just fed up.

Our place had such a beautiful view of the space needle. The rooftop area is also gorgeous and so fun! They've got grills and a fire pit and top-down heaters, so it's good even on a cold day. Brandon and Charlotte were really helpful at the front desk, too! Location of this place is great. 15 min walk to Pike's place, and even shorter to the Space Needle.

This is the structure of the ceiling walls of the units inside the dimension apartments.

The unfinished poor concrete structure which even has numerous holes that crumble easily from moisture. Everything is manificured cheap and repairs will be billed to you. Watch what you sign! The sales associate amy is the worst upon my list! She discriminates the tenants by there income & color

The units are made with cheap appliance's. And the walls are pocket holes from cheap concrete

Stay away from this place. The building is not equipped with nothing but cheap cement and unfinished ceiling walls ect. The building is made cheap with a beautiful amazing view expensive rent with poor management staff. Amy? How do you look at yourself in the mirror with your false maintenance billing to tenants ripping off tenants for broken cheap materials in units! Shame on you!

I moved here on my own from Las Vegas in February 2016. I would recommend this building to anyone. The staff is INCREDIBLE. They have been friendly, helpful and incredibly professional during each step of my journey here in Seattle. The lobby and gym were under construction for a good portion of my time here, but the staff kept us informed and updated through email and through their tenant social media portal the entire time. The remodel turned out beautifully, so any new tenants get to reap the benefits! They also have a new package concierge system that is very convenient, modern and easy to use. The only downside I experienced was that the Rite Aid next door can feel a bit sketchy at times and the parking spots are pretty tight. Also, the rent is high, but my high corner apartment with a view of the Puget Sound and the Space Needle made it absolutely worth it for me. Tip: Ask about renting an A/C window unit during the summer months. It saved my (and my cats') lives during that time. They host events on the rooftop often and put calendars in the elevators each month with local events and building get-togethers. The staff was there when you reached out to them but they never felt intrusive or nosy. Speaking of privacy, the concrete ceilings and thick walls made it so that I've never heard my neighbors. They make laundry easy by having a washer and dryer in the apartment itself, and there are trash chutes on every floor. I'm moving out at the end of my lease, but only because I'm settling down in the suburbs. Even during my 'break up' conversation with the staff - "It's not you, it's me! We can still be friends, right?" - they were sweet and even helped me by giving me advice about my new area and offered some names of (unaffiliated) places to live. Great, updated building in a fantastic part of Seattle with a caring staff. You really couldn't ask for more.

Great apartment! I Just moved from Seattle to Boston. I have been living in three different apartments around downtown Seattle in the past few years. Dimension was the one I love best, I would like to give a five star and recommend Dimension to anyone. First of all, managers are all nice and helpful people. Nice location, great building, and common areas, and the rooftop is the best. It has 360-degree views of downtown Seattle, Space Needle, Elliott Bay, Bainbridge Island and more. It has one of the best viewing spots for Seattle new year firework. Dimension has 24-hour package room, super convenience, I can pick up package anytime. The garage is great, my parking spot is large. The building is always clean, garage cleaning once or twice a year. Holland Residential Company is a great company with many great apartments in Seattle. TrueNorth is also a great apartment at south lake union under Holland Residential Company.

When I moved out, they claimed several hours of sanding work required for repainting and were evasive about providing evidence that it actually took so long. Every lease renewal saw a giant jump in rates (9.9% one year), which we negotiated back down to sane levels. They use algorithmic pricing designed to worsen the housing crisis while maximizing their profits. They also recently decided to stop offering affordable housing units under the MFTE program. Building was frequently under repair, including elevators being out of service for months, which was incredibly difficult when my partner was recovering from knee surgery. The units, which are now finally undergoing renovation, were poorly lit with low quality fixtures like plastic track lights, vinyl flooring, and a prison shower head. The original office staff were quite unhelpful and antagonistic, prioritizing nagging residents about hallway door decorations (while simultaneously awarding prizes for holiday decorations??). This has improved with almost complete turnover in staffing. Maintenance staff have always been very responsive and helpful. Regarding Capitol Hill itself, the value of the neighborhood has really declined. If you want to pay $4,000/mo to live in walking distance of 15 boba tea shops and national fried chicken chains while ignoring the human misery all around you, go for it I guess.

Overall, it's been a good experience but there are so many things that make this place not worth the price tag. Pros: Location- Great spot and walkable to so much. Tenants- good people and high probability of making friends. Young professionals, dog lovers Thick walls: I rarely hear my neighbors -- very, very rare. Aesthetics: the apartments themselves look really nice Washer/dryer: in unit and actually good quality. I've had some awful laundry units in apartments but these are legit and work well. Cons: Break ins: I am not exaggerating when I say tenants are constantly getting their bikes stolen, it's a monthly occurrence at least. (Theres bike storage in the garage for tenants ) Storage in the apartment: it's crazy how much planning did not go into the actual apartment. For example: my pantry is a closet that has zero shelves....my bedroom closet didn't have a full hanger rack when I moved in. Little things that make zero sense. Some kitchens barely have a drawer for silverware. Things that you may not notice while doing a walk thru but notice once you move in. No AC or ventilation: this is common in Seattle, I get it but please pay attention to what direction your apartment faces. I face west and live in a loft. Heat rises. It is miserable hot. It can be 70 degrees outside but 78 inside because of the lack of airflow. Even with an AC unit (these help but you better keep all the shades down and keep it running ALLLL day/night - plus depending on your setup, you may have to move furniture around to use an AC unit) The complex has AC units available to rent ... it isn't even that hot yet and it's already hard to get my bedroom (upstairs) under 72 degrees by 9pm. The complex should offer free AC units with how hot these apartments get. When it's nice/window season, you may not want to open your window because of how loud the road is. Even on the 4th floor, if you leave your balcony door/windows open, you will wake up from traffic/buses/people on 24th and 65th. It's not quiet...at all. Amenities: these have gotten better but still not great compared to what you can get at other places. They have done some work on the rooftop but it's still just fine. No gym, TVs aren't great, etc. The building itself needs new carpet/fresh paint on the walls. Look at the stairwells. Yes, I'm being picky but for the price, it should look better. As a whole, these apartments are fine but overpriced for what they are. You are paying for location and a "good looking" apartment. For the price, they should come with AC units, have more amenities, and updates in the actual building. Management and maintenance are good, I haven't had any issues there. This review isn't meant to bash BPL but give future residents a heads up and an honest expectation of what it's like to live here. I wouldn't choose an East (am sun) or West (pm sun) facing loft apartment. Seriously, too hot. I bet south facing is your best bet (less busy road, no direct sun). Lofts are cute but I'd suggest a flat. Hope this helps!

When I looked it up on Yelp for the first time I was a bit suspicious it had such high ratings but now I know they're justified. BACKGROUND - I am a Seattle transplant. Just graduated and just moved here fresh out of college. I wanted to live somewhere affordable, convenient, nice and still close enough to where all the fun stuff was. I looked at Cap Hill and the prices were outrageous. So the I landed on NAMU from an ad on Craigslist. LOCATION - around 5-10 minute drive from downtown Seattle and downtown Capitol Hill. Close enough for a short bus ride or a cheap Uber pool. If you check on the walk score it's around high 80s and the crime rate for the area is really low. Generally, it's closer to the suburbs. It's quiet at night because of that but occasionally there will be a siren once a week or people yelling once in a blue moon. But generally, really quiet. CONVENIENCE- I live right next to Safeway and can walk there in under 30 seconds which has saved my life many times. There's also a cute plant shop downstairs if you like plants and a Dominos pizza is opening soon, there's a Vietnamese sandwich place near the Safeway as well. The Safeway is open late which is great. There's also a YMCA a block away if you want to workout nearby! APT AMENITIES - in terms of amenities it is solid given how much rent you are paying. There's a bike rack, and a nice rooftop. None of my packages have EVER been stolen from the lobby and I've see packages left there for days so everyone in the building respects that. You can pay extra for storage and the laundry machines are on the 2nd and 3rd floor, which TAKE CARD. Generally they are full on the weekends but I haven't had an issue waiting long times for laundry. There's no pool, or lounge, trash chute or gym. The only things I wish the room had: an oven, a dishwasher (I just do my dishes by hand), and a closet. But I've adjusted. If you need these things to survive, consider that before you move in or if you have a ton of stuff / furniture / clothes because it likely won't fit. NOISE - Honestly, I'm assuming the insulation is top notch because I've heard my neighbors maybe once. ROOMS - The apartment was made in 2015 or something. I moved in 2017 and was the second tenant ever! The rooms are small, around 250-300sqft but I have enough room for a full-size bed, a queen size futon, a wardrobe hanger, and a small dining table and a bookshelf and no issues. It's a perfect studio for a single person and more than enough room to be comfy. Note there isn't a closet though so you'll have to make do with a buy your own closet thing. I really appreciate the mini fridge as it is honestly big enough for one person and since I live by Safeway I never really needed too much space anyway. The bathrooms are clean and modern and there's a big window too which is really nice in the mornings. LANDLADY / MAINTENANCE - This is what prompted me to write this review. The landlady, Sonya, has been nothing but incredible and responsive. She texts back almost immediately and even helped me once when I locked myself out of my room at midnight, and helped me get a package when I accidentally locked it. She's very thoughtful and kind and honestly I never knew how awesome thanks would be to have a great landlady until I met her! She also schedules maintenance once you report a problem to her. The maintenance guy, Mike, lives in the complex and shows up right on time to help fix your issues and is polite and nice. There was an incident where our hot water heater stopped working for around a day and Sonya immediately notified all the residents on the situation and provided suggestions for other solutions. And she even decorated the front door and lobby with a Christmas tree for the holidays!! Tldr - This is a great place to live if you're moving to Seattle as a single person. The rooms are "small" but modern, clean, and more than enough space for a studio. The facilities are brand new, and the landlady is awesome. The rent is affordable and I've I'm very happy living here and feel safe.

Unlike nearby condos, it doesn't really do major advertising - I actually found it while clicking on random buildings on Google Maps! The location is incredible - close to the Space Needle and bars, but just far enough to still enjoy quiet nights. Plus, the prices are VERY competitive compared to other places nearby. Oliver from the front office is incredibly friendly and helpful. I wasn't going to be able to view the available units in person, and he sent me a very well taken, detailed video of the interior. He answered all my questions and really made sure that my moves, both in and out, were extremely smooth. Maintenance was also prompt and always made sure that everything was fixed within 1-2 business days! Now for the apartment itself - it was much larger than any other options nearby, and it was really nice! The unit looked a bit old but clean and functional in the video, but I was wrong... it wasn't old at all! The apartment was MUCH newer, brighter, and more updated than I anticipated - the best kind of surprise. I rarely ever heard my neighbors, always had power, and I especially loved that I had a massive pantry in the kitchen. My balcony faced 4th Ave, which leads directly to the Space Needle. Although I couldn't see the Needle from my windows, I never had to leave my apartment for any parades - they always started at the Seattle Center and went directly on the street below. The amenities it had were really nice - from the clubhouse to the gym. Both were clean, easy to access, and very updated. I especially loved that you didn't need to pay to book the clubhouse for personal events, as it made hosting larger groups for meals a lot easier! I was truly heartbroken to leave Sidney when work relocated me to Texas. It's a wonderful complex, and I highly, HIGHLY recommend!! If I ever move back, you know where I'll be living.

This was one of the best apartment living experiences I've ever had, which, as you can see based on…read morethe majority of the reviews here, is generally the case for most. My apartment faced North and had a great view of the Space Needle. It was a quiet and quaint little studio that, upon move-in, was in great condition. I rarely ever had any maintenance issues, but if I did, they were addressed accordingly and in a timely manner. The Sidney is close to so many restaurants and shops and in fact, on the first floor, is Uptown Espresso. A cute little coffee shop that I would just walk down to every morning. Super convenient! The staff is what stands out about this building the most. The Property Manager is one of the best I've ever encountered. Always helpful and happy to assist. This type of management style has obviously transferred down from the manager, as the maintenance and leasing personnel are just as friendly and helpful. Overall, a wonderful living experience!
