We needed some tree branches that were overhanging our roofline trimmed back, and two dead White Ash trees removed from a downward sloping yard behind our house. The only street access was at the front of the house, necessitating a crane to get at the trees, which were near power lines. Mike, the owner, came out to give us an estimate, and I was surprised when he said he would be on the job site personally to make sure everything went well. From the front office to the crew on the job site, everyone was very professional and honestly a pleasure to deal with. Here's why Dillon's is so good... Mike is a down-to-earth and very nice person. He worked around my schedule for estimates, gave me solid suggestions and advice on what I may want to do, and was very quick with providing a price and getting me on the schedule. When I think of all the overhead he has (machinery, labor, insurance), I found his pricing to be very reasonable. When his team arrived, they were polite, professional, and efficient - extremely hard working. They treated me and my property with respect. They are also extremely coordinated, which given the risk involved in the work really made me feel confident. The finished product was always as agreed to, and Mike was flexible on making some moderate adjustments to the job. Mike and his team are experienced tree professionals. They removed large dead limbs from a tall oak tree overhanging my front yard quickly and for a reasonable cost. They not only removed all the wood, but took the care to put plywood on my yard so his trucks wouldn't sink into the turf. After the work was done the crew raked my yard and removed all debris. I trust Dillon Tree who has done work for many years for area towns removing large and dangerous trees. areIt is so satisfying to contract with a true family operated, quality conscious top notch firm. They are prompt as can be, gave me a legit. quote I could live with and I had a gut feeling I should just stop shopping around for price- and go with them. I was ever so happy to sign the check to them - after witnessing the quality work and the skill of the Gent. up in the bucket truck. We are talking some serious debris most of which was chipped up on the spot and the remaining 18 inch diam. pieces were put aside for the tree branch truck- and at the close of the day- the foreman of the squad came back and loaded those up- even if he left them a few days- no big deal to me. So how great is that- they already had the check and still cust. service was the goal. I even got advice on future tree work as I could not do it all- in one shot. chain saw/equip. advice too.- You know I will be calling them back- in a few years. Why Dillon does not have 100 glowing reviews I do not know- as I placed a few calls- to others- people never get back, the job is to small, one guy just wanted to come in- cut stuff from a bucket- hoping no damage to buildings and drive away.- leaving me to clean up the Chaos. No doubt I made the correct decision- going with Dillon. They got a contract via email to me and proof of insurance- but the way the man in bucket worked- no insurance, I bet, is ever needed when he is at the Helm. I kept out of their way- was curious and watched alot of it- from the window it was just a signature of experience from a crew that had their act together. Even if they are booked for a few weeks- be patient and just get on the list- I am fussy as can be - high standards and this crew did more than they had too- all Stumps down cut close to the ground - and a bit of Misc. touch up trimming- I was never so quick to sign and cut a check to them- and very anxious to help others- to focus in on a company where u spend your money- ONCE. not have someone else to come in- and clean up the mess - the whole crew were great to talk to- and the confidence truly shows- they Really care- what you think , kinda like companies were thirty years ago. Made 2 appointments with Dillon, and both times he never showed up, nor did he text or call. Wonder how he would like to set up a big job only to get there and no one's home and won't acknowledge him. That's what he does to customers. I'll find someone a bit more reliable. read more

John Dillon was great to work with. He shared lots of advice on my trees, bushes and general landscaping. He and his team showed up on time, went over the work to be performed, and each team member knew their job and performed it independently. The day was very hot but they stay focused. We had trees trimmed - some healthy ones and a few needing TLC. THe trees that needed trimming looked great after while not showing the effects. Great job and we are appreciative of the work and I feel I made a friend in the process. read more

I had Dillon at my house today taking down a large spruce tree. The team was fantastic, about 5-6 guys had the tree down in no time, did a great job cleaning up and were gone in about 90 minutes. Very professional, would hire again in a minute. read more

Dillon showed up to take down the neighbor's trees and asked if we'd like a dead tree taken down and that he could do it for $100 and said he would send us a bill. . .and then showed up at our front door a couple of weeks later asking for $200, but no bill in hand. He said he doesn't invoice until after he receives payment because he carries too much money. I will say that as far as the tree goes, it is gone and it looks fine. It's too bad the owner of Dillon can't remember what he quoted originally and doesn't even have the decency to give us a receipt. He should take notes because it's very bad for business to quote one price and then demand twice as much when you show up to get payment. . .with no bill or invoice in hand. My recommendation would be to call someone else! read more

OMG I just had two large maple trees removed from my back yard, via Dillon Tree Service. Mike and his crew are NO JOKE...they were early, worked like a fine tuned machine and were impeccable with the clean up. I had to use a crane because my neighbors weren't willing to allow any equipment on their properties. One of the trees were very close to my house and they pieced those trees in two, hoisted them right over my roof, gently placed them in the street, cut them up in the street, mulched it and DONE!! Two 60 feet tall maples completely gone in less than 2 hours....UNBELIEVABLE. I highly recommend Mike and Dillon Tree Service to anyone. Steer clear! We were recently scheduled to have a single oak tree removed from our front yard. The day before the event, Dillon Tree Service called to cancel due to weather...saying they would be calling to reschedule. However, after a number of days passed I called and left a message of inquiry about the rescheduling. Long story short....they left us high and dry. No call even though the woman in the office promised she would talk to Mike to get a new date...no rescheduling at all! Dillon Tree Service is as unprofessional an outfit as they come...never answering the phone or returning calls. And to just "stuff" a paying customer speaks for itself. read more

outstanding service! extremely professional and very neat and organized. everyone cleans up after themselves. Mikey Dillon is second to none when it comes down to technical take downs! I'm a corner lot with the whole neighborhood electrical grid on my corner pole. Mikey's crew put down plywood so they didn't rut up my grass then Mike put his truck in between the wires and my house.
