Thank you for a wonderful experience at the Dillon Marine and our visit to the Steep Lakeside Tiki Bar. Tyler was the kindest man, he assisted Greg, my husband who has a slow shuffle gait. Tyler was very gracious and gave Greg a lift to the loo (a bit of a distance for the elderly "LOL" but not the young at heart). Tyler also offered his assistance when we were ready to leave the marine, which he did, he gave Greg a ride in the cart to the car. He settled my husband in and rolled down the windows for him as I settled up the tab after a delicious meal. read more

We had a group of 12 on a pontoon for 3 hours and had an excellent time! The lake was beautiful even though it is down a bit this year, and the staff at Dillon Marina is always so friendly and helpful! read more

Gorgeous. Really nice boats. But... we had a breakdown, they did not pick up right away and instead of waiting we called a friend. The boat had a fuel issue and instead of any concessions the staff were unempathetic and accusatory. read more

We had a great time renting from Dillon Marina! Booking took 5 minutes and the briefing to launch was extremely quick and we were on our way. Would highly recommend! read more

We took 13 people out on a 25' pontoon boat for a family outing. It was an incredible experience, but it was also very easy due the hard work of the staff, especially the dock crew. We had several kids and they got them fitted with life jackets right away, made sure we were all comfortable, put up the Bimini top for shade. There was a lot of room for storage. I wouldn't recommend taking that many adults out on one though. They do recommend to bring a portable radio as the radios don't always work. read more

Such a great reversal on Lake Dillon. Our captain Alex was amazing. He was very educated on the weather on the lake and he so many stories about the history of the area. Best 2 hr sail we had!! read more

Alex is an amazing guide and an extremely knowledgeable mariner. And given the fact that we had very minimal wind until the end of the tour he still made the experience very fun and interesting. read more

Just hope your boat doesn't break down or you will be stranded on the lake for quite a while. the marina won't answer your call for help and then won't give you a rebate of more than 10% even though you loose 30% of boat rental time. Manager very rude! read more

We had an outstanding experience participating in a Historical Boat Tour with Bob as our guide. He was enthusiastic, well informed and was an excellent historian of the Dillon area. Photographs from his partner enhanced our experience. Bob welcomed every question and thoughtfully answered each one. He had deep understanding of essential water rights. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in the area. read more

Once we were able to find a place to park, I really enjoyed this place! It was a gorgeous weekend so it was busy busy, with a music festival going on at the amphitheater. I did not try out the tiki bar but that was full of people so I can only imagine how great it was! There were also a couple food trucks in the area as well. It was a very nice rocky marina to relax at, paddle board, kayak and sail on! Would love to come back again! read more

We rented a pontoon boat on beautiful Lake Dillon . We had to watch a comprehensive video on rules of the road and safety. The dock staff went over the whole boat in detail. The boat was in good condition with a fairly high hp engine which worked well. Of you want a nice easy day for 2 hours or more i recommend the Dillon Marina. read more

The entire experience was great... check in was no problem, getting in and out of the marina and instructions were good. Our 22' pontoon was very experienced, seeing lots of lake time, but worked well. The family enjoyed the mountain scenery and our stop at Frisco Bay. Great guys at the boat... fun day. I have a sailboat that I keep in a slip at the Dillon Marina. This boat is new to me, and I do ask lots of questions, especially at the beginning of the season. I found the staff to be very helpful and accommodating in every way needed. We've had the boat serviced and they do a good job and keep good records, that go past me with the boat. That has been very helpful! We were lucky as the boat came with the slip transferred. If you are looking for a place in the future to keep your boat in a slip, put your name on the list now! I highly recommend Dillon Marina! read more

Nice spot. I was originally told by a Baymont Inn employee that it was nicer than the Frisco Marina, so we planned on going, but a different Baymont Inn employee the next morning told me there was no Dillon Marina. The latter one was incorrect. I only discovered the Dillon Marina because I was looking for a gym (Elevation Fitness), and I was only looking for that gym because the gym I went to the previous day (Snap Fitness) wasn't answering the phone and nobody would be able to let me in. Fate led me to this town, where The String Cheese Incident was playing. I had never heard of them, but now I listen to them sometimes while working. Anyway, the marina is beautiful. I wish I had time to experience it with some kind of activity, but just seeing it was enough (for now). They have everything from paddle-boarding to sailboats to motorboats. Highly recommended if you're in the area. read more

We had such a great experience renting the 22' pontoon boat! The staff were all super friendly and helpful. What a great experience! Everything was ready ahead of time, every employee was engaged in the customer experience, and the boat itself was so incredibly nice. The entire experience - boat included - FAR exceeded our expectations. The boat itself was nearly brand-new, incredibly high quality, and very comfortable, fun, and easy to operate for someone who never drives boats (me!). The staff was so kind and patient with us and my kids, not ever condescending or irritated with our incompetence, and so well-prepared in every way. Thank you so much Dillon Marina staff and thanks Philipe for a great check-in experience! Oh - and the Tiki bar is fun, check it out. read more

The Lake Dillon Marina's been run by the same set of folks for ages now. If I described them as "grumpy" that would be overly generous. Most of the worker-bees are fine folks, but management needs a serious attitude adjustment. Never a smile. Service is always a hassle, and gratitude/appreciation for long-time boaters? Fuh-getta-bout-it. Why 2 stars instead of 1? 'Cause they're lucky to have picked a drop dead gorgeous place to work. On the other hand, Pug Ryan's Over-The-Rail Pale Ale, as served at dockside at the outside Tiki bar by the local hottie, is a treat-and-a-half. And sittin' in the sunlight after a great morning's sail with the snow-covered Ten Mile range sitting pretty at the far end of the lake would put a smile on even Ebenezer Scrooge's face. read more

We rented a pontoon for 8 people and the pontoon was very clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. We rented the pontoon for 3 hours, but a storm rolled in an hour before our time was up. I called to check in with staff since we saw lightening. They recommended we return to the marina as soon as possible and they would refund our final hour. It was no hassle and I felt that they put my safety first above making money. One caveat, they charge a minimum of 2 hours no matter what. So, if a storm rolled in and you only had 2 hours, but lost an hour, you still might have to pay for 2 hours. Either way, for us, it was a lovely and slightly adventurous day on the water. read more

Popular for good reason, the operation of this boat rental Marina is highly professional, courteous, and welcoming. They have a website reservation and documentation site that is flawless, allowing the user to easily make all preparations for boat rental and security before arriving at the Marina. Confirmations and reminders come by email and text, and provide all the details that would be required. We found our 22 foot pontoon in perfect condition, and the craft performed beautifully during a tour of Lake Dillon that lasted over two hours. The instructions provided by the Marina staff were clear, concise, and thorough, allowing an inexperienced "Captain" to perform his duties at a high level. Most impressive, however, was how the Marina staff handled a crisis. Into the third hour of our rental, a thunderstorm came sweeping across Lake Dillon, raising serious whitecaps driven by strong, unpredictable winds. We headed a full throttle for the Marina Landing, where there were several boats in line, struggling to be secured to the dock despite the winds. With absolute aplomb, the Marina staff instructed us in steering the boat safely to dockside. Before the first drops of rain were falling, we were safely in our car. BRAVO to Dillon Marina, and thanking you for a memorable afternoon Bennett Marsh Haymarket, VA read more
