This general store! Wow! Modern/beach-chic, clean, and well-stocked! It may be the only option near by, but it's a great option! We went in to grab a few drinks for the drive home from the beach and will definitely be back for pre-beach snacks and drinks next time. See my photo of the freshly baked galettes - it took all my willpower to resist them! Shhh...don't tell anyone else but I heard that the galettes are cheaper at the store than they are at their adjacent restaurant! In true general store fashion you'll find a little of everything. They sell general grocery items, a variety of local and gourmet snack options including pre-made cheese plates, eggs, ice, wine, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, sunscreen, beach blankets, towels, clothes, cards, mugs, stickers, candles.... Boards and wetsuits are available for rent. They also offer soft serve ice cream and made-to-order Equator coffee! When you visit Dillon Beach (which is a must if you have a pup!), definitely check out this shop!

Walking up to this old fashion licking store I wasn't too sure what I was in for and as I walked in it had a small parlor area similar to what my dad told me they have in Canada as they would remove their boots and then go into the actual Fourier of the rest of the house! I'm not too sure if this building was originally a house or just a general store, but it's very iconic, and Old fashion with a modern twist! There were at least two people working behind the counter, and a handful of eclectic local items on each counter, as well as grocery and specialty items! I have a number of food allergies, and I was surprised to see they actually had some gluten-free and vegan boxed items! Not to mention a huge assortment of local wines, as well as snacks such as meats, cheeses, and fresh fruits! The coffee looked delicious, and there was ice cream!! I wish I could've spent more time in there, but as we walked in a group of maybe 20 people came in after us, and I was just overwhelmed by too many people, so we left. But I love the store and it's ambience!! They also had some beach building toys for the children! We ended up going to the restaurant next-door since it was outdoors and see my review on that! But delicious needless to say!!

We stayed at lawsons landing and came to the store to purchase some items morning of 1/22. The day before we spent about $100 in the store. We were getting breakfast items that morning and my son asked to use the restroom and we were told we had to go down to the beach which is a $10 entry fee to use the restrooms. We were the only ones in the store and he couldn't wait so we just left to head back to the campground. Wasn't worth driving all the way back. Been coming here for years and was disappointed with the employees snobby attitude. This place has gone downhill despite their "farmhouse" makeover. Was better years ago. Maybe new owners, I'm not sure. An establishment like this should have a restroom for paying customers. Get supplies in town before coming to the Dillon Beach.

Clean environment, nice selection of groceries and drinks. Cute and trendy Dillon beach resort merch to buy

Living at the beach is great except when you forget an ingredient for dinner. Nobody wants to drive 30 minutes into town for olives. Thank god for the Dillon Beach Resort Store. Staffed by nice local folks and stocked with stuff you might need for a beach picnic or a cooking emergency. The deli-style green olives that I purchased were fresh tasting and delicious. I managed to resist the unique local soft serve this time but I'll be back soon. If only they could get the Buffalo milk one like they have in Point Reyes.

Great place for: - snacks for the beach - lovely souvenirs - and yummy Salted Caramel soft serve! They also sell frozen items like clam chowder from the restaurant Dillon Beach Coastal Kitchen.

My 17-year-old son just got back from taking the dog to Dillon Beach. He stopped here to get something to eat. Sees a turkey and cheese sandwich all wrapped up really nicely in paper wrapping. He thinks "Wow, $14.00, but hey it's probably a really good sandwich with the way it's all wrapped up, etc". He just got home, shows me the sandwich and we were both blown away. American or Velveeta cheese, horribly processed chicken/turkey meat, and mustard on wheat. Check out the picture. Shame on you Dillon Beach General Store for selling food that is more than sub-standard!

Great store. Love the organic options. Stock the individual cups of three twins again - way better than the ice cream sandwiches!

One step below 7-11 at twice the price. Plan ahead and shop at Safeway before you make the trip to Dillon. Trust me on this one.

The tour is more expensive in comparison to other cheese tours that we've seen in Petaluma, $35 plus tax, but those cheese aren't made with water buffalo milk. With this tour, you get a super informative history/back story of the founders. It is quite the story and could be made into a Hallmark movie. Their story is really inspiring and you can see how passionate they are about their company, product, and water buffaloes. The owner, Audrey, has a hand in every part of the business, and does most of the work, with help from a handful of employees. Please schedule a tour here to support this small company that has ethical and sustainable business practices. I believe every dollar from the tour really helps with their bottom line and I think they really need it as the owner does most of the work herself to cut cost. The highlight of the tour, other than the cheese tasting was getting to pet and brush the water buffaloes until they'd fall over from euphoria.

Not enough kind words to say about Jan, her husband, and their incredible home!!…read more We didn't actually stay here. I found it on the map and thought "huh this might be cute to stop by and try some cider". Showed up on a Saturday and Jan and her husband immediately came out to talk to us, tell us about the cider, and show us around their place. The cider was DELICIOUS by the way. We bought some and brought it back to our friends and they all agreed it's some of the best hard cider we've had. I wish they sold it at my local bodega in here sf!! Their home and land is truly so cute and charming. Rolling hills with 300+ trees, juicy apples of all sorts. I told Jan I was going to make and apple pie and she directed me to the best trees for those. They let us wander and do whatever we wanted and it was just so awesome and picturesque and serene. Jan also mentioned baby Scottish Highlander cows in their pasture nearby that we could go pet and play with!!!! Unfortunately those cows were busy but we stopped the the pasture right out front and got soooo close to some stunning and adorable cows. Literally the perfect visit. She gave us some recs for lunch and we had an awesome afternoon in Tomales. Need to visit again... could see this being the loveliest play to stay for a weekend getaway. When we arrived, Jan was in the middle of making a homemade apple pie and other yummy things for her guests because she provided them fresh pastries and breakfast. Gosh... dreamy.

It was right around the corner so I decided to take a chance and stop by. I pulled up to the barn and was greeted with suspicious looks by two middle aged folks working a hand cider press. It turns out that these are the loving parents of Applegarden Farms Hardcider. They hand blend and press 20 different apple varieties for their wonderful brew. After explaining my situation they were happy to sell me a few bottles and off I went to the Marshall Store for oysters to go with my new aquisition. If you like hardcider, don't miss this stuff, it's local and luscious.
