I love the look of this place and the decor is modern, stylish and simple. The food is also really good. I had the chicken wings to start and they were divine. The nachos I had for main was also good. The service was a bit slow and inattentive. The place was packed and got so warm inside that we had to leave for a gasp of fresh air as soon as we finished our meal. I would have rated this place much higher if it wasn't so warm and had better service.

Stopped in for brunch on the way home from City Centre this weekend (July 2017) and was blown away by and absolutely delicious (and massive) portion of Pancakes with Bacon and Maple Syrup. A friend also ordered Waffles with Fried Chicken which was equally as impressive! Beautifully fresh juices and a really good amount of options. Great atmosphere and a lot of variety in the menus! We didn't have any alcoholic drinks so can't speak to that but there was a great amount of options both with alcohols and food! From having a sneaky look around at some other tables around us it seems that all the portions are very generous so definitely worth what you pay for them! The staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating as we had some overnight bags with us that they offered to store away while we ate. 100% recommend!!!

Oh man this place was just what I needed - I was so happy it felt like it was Christmas morning with July 4th BBQ. I know that didn't make sense but you'll understand when you hear what I ordered... We started with the calamari and pork belly - the cork belly has something that taste like five spice or anise...so it's definitely not for everyone. Very delicious though and the melons/salad went great with it. The calamari was good - it's very hard to ever go wrong with calamari. For my main course I ordered the BBQ pulled pork sandwich (T_T I'm still thinking about it) with purple cabbage slaw in it. The sandwich came with a bowl of chili cheese fries and a buttered grilled corn on the cob. Oh god the chili cheese fries were also delicious. The meat was just a tad bit sweet and the cheese was melted perfectly; it wasn't too greasy as the chili cheese fries you get in American chains. The BBQ pulled pork sandwich was AMAZING/perfect/just-what-I-needed. For dessert (oh yes we got that too) we ordered the chocolate raspberry brownie and the pear crumble. Both came with ice cream, both were delicious, but yes it was too much food. The portions here are pretty decent so think before you order more, more, more! :) I am so happy.

My husband and I always go to Dillingers for a Sunday Brunch. We just love so much their Eggs Florentine, also we order some bacon on the side (one portin is enough for 2) and that's amazing. Staff are very cool and funky, love the chill atmosphere. Also, went there for an evening bite with a friend, didn't really find the evening menu very attractive, I had Beef Nachos, which I love, but my friend went for a salad and fried calamari(starters)... Food was good and the portions were huge, we couldn't finish.

Planned coming here days in advance..., high hopes were shared by all, literally couldn't stop thinking "Rachel don't fuck this decision up". I went for the fish cakes and the table got nachos to share which wer nice not cheesy enough for me. The menu was the brunch and for me was not big enough and everything included poached eggs. Which was not something I appreciated.... Any1 can make poached eggs. The group was Very disappointed all round... Cool little restaurant but very very slow service and a mediocre eggy brunch. The dinner menu excites me so I will be back for another go but alas... will not be bak for brunch.

I've been wanting to come here for a while, as I've heard many recommendations for their brunch. The place is much smaller than I thought, but has a cool American diner vibe. There's a big variety of brunch styles, mostly American but cool alternatives like the Shakshouka (which I will order next time). We both got mimosas, and shared French toast and Eggs with salmon and corn fritters. They were both really delicious and huge portions, we couldn't finish them even though we wanted! The staff are nice, albeit hard to get their attention as they're rushed off their feet. But will be back again, food is top notch!

Where to start ? Everything about this place is perfect. The food ,service, setting and staff are beyond reproach.I've been a dozen times and every time I go i leave with a smile on my face. The food is amazing . So good I fact you'll want everything and will have to be rolled out. I got the heuvos rancheros and devoured the lot. Oh and the guac . Dear God the guac is to die for and the portion is huge. The portion size here is super generous all round. We also go a mega portion of nachos to share. We were being very good to ourselves. They were delish too. More than enough for 4 people to share. The two of us greedily devoured the lot. And what is brunch without a cocktail? Nothing that's what. Of course I went for the classic margarita . Which was delicious. It was nice and strong too. I've no time for weak watered down cocktails. As for the service and staff I can't say a bad word. They're clearly super busy and have a lot on their plates, excuse ye pun , but they were so attentive and we felt very well looked after . All in allll I'd go as far as to say this is my favourite brunch in Dublin.

My first review and a place I've been to countless times ! Dillingers is my nacho paradise for an evening meal with friends and a brunch to end all brunches is always guaranteed with seriously stacked pancakes. Staff are friendly and attentive Had a bit of yelp issue with booking this evening but the guys in Dillingers straitened it all out.

We visited twice, and the first time was on a Wednesday night. They were able to accommodate us mid-week without a reservation, but Friday night we made one to come back. There were gobs of people waiting to get in so we're glad we did! The entrance is very non-descript. It's an ugly grey metal door with VCC randomly applied, so if you didn't know what was there it would look industrial. There is a door bell to the left of the door. Ring it a few times and someone will open the door and check you in. With reservations they do make you wait until exactly that time so don't be alarmed. Your table is already selected for you. The inside is loungy and very swanky. Both times we had extremely comfortable chairs. Service is immaculate. Their menu is massive, very well published and explained. Our servers were both able to explain exactly what the cocktail may taste like as some of the combos might blow your mind. I had the Dirty Wizard which sounds odd on based on ingredients but was delicious. I also had the Purple Pearl which was my perfect cocktail. My husband tried a few different whiskey concoctions and he was impressed by all of them. I highly recommend adding VCC to your Dublin itinerary!

It feels a bit weird writing a public review of a secret spot...but I can't gatekeep this spot!…read more The Blind Pig Speakeasy was one of our favorite spots while in Ireland, and it ranks high on our list for several reasons! They are situated in the base of a sister restaurant, so from the main entrance the only give away is the neon "shhh" sign that sits over the stairway. Once at the base of the stairs an unassuming bookcase/shelf appears. This honestly got us, as we had no clue this was the entrance at first. We wandered around and into the bathrooms expecting some cool bathroom stall entrance. It wasn't until someone came out from behind the bookcase that we figured it out! We did let the "door" close and played with the art on the wall, including the bronze pig head, which turned out to be the hidden lever! Legit already wowed before entering! Upon entry, you are legit transported into a small speakeasy with a few high tops, a cozy bar and a small dining room beyond the second archway. The walls are stone, the lighting is dim and moody, the woods are heavy, and the vibes are immaculate! We sampled a few house-made cocktails, got an appetizer and a few main dishes. Spent a total of close to 2 hours, which is standard and actually timed. Which makes sense and I like, it keeps things moving, on time and allows plenty of time to soak it all in! The Jolly Roger and Espresso Martini were my cocktails for the night. There was a clear theme with both, as stout and espresso were highlights in both. For the app, we went with the fritto misto, which is a combination of fried cheese and veggies. Our mains were both pasta dishes. They were light and simple, yet complex and robust. They were tasty and impressive! Service was stellar from entry to exit. The host's, bartenders and our server were all top notch, friendly, helpful and a joy to interact with! Oh, I do highly recommend reservations! They are a small and very in demand spot, so trying to walk-in is a bit risky. Overall, we absolutely loved our evening at The Blind Pig! This is going to be controversial, but I swear, this is what I saw for real. Not kidding, not exaggerating. For real. We are sitting to the side of the main bar. A bartender is pouring bottled water into a bottle of Jameson. Another employee came over and is talking to her while she is doing this. She 'squishes' the empty bottle, making that crushed plastic sound, before throwing it into the trash. Then she puts the pour spout back on top of the Jameson bottle and walks back into the main bar area. O.M.G. Really? Why me?! It is at this point I think to look at the Yelp reviews. Whoa. First thing I see is to the effect of 'my white friends got in, but not me'. Second thing I see is 'Asians not allowed'. Holy mackerel! My SO and I take a serious look around and O.M.G., no kidding, not one non-WASP in the joint! I feel dirty and disgusted. I have no idea that anyone in here has a clue of this fact, but now that it has been pointed out, it is so very clear. We left just as fast as we could. I will never return.

When we returned, the host remembered us & remembered that we prefer to sit at the bar. They showed us to our reserved spots - at the bar! We first admired the interior. Underground! Somehow low-lit, archaic, well-lit, & modern, all at the same time. Lively but not noisy pop music was playing - Dua Lipa, etc. The actual physical menu was so cool. It was a beautifully designed picture-book inspired menu, with each cocktail having its own separate & artful page. I'm looking back on the menu & I think the drink I ordered was "Fight Club" (Don Julio Blanco, mango, Falernum, camomile, lemon, & sugar) & it was phenomenal. The bartender scorched a hot pepper & carefully placed it on top, which MADE the drink. He also made my partner a Paper Plane with Scotch. Delicious.
