If you're expecting a typical dinner, think again. The tasting menu featured around 12 courses, and by course ten I was completely full--but somehow still excited for what was coming next. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, packed with flavor and very tasty. For me the standout of the night was the very first dish which was Vinnie's homemade mozzarella with tomatoes, which was so good that we even bought some fresh mozzarella to take home. The meatballs were also outstanding, and the steak and eggplant course was another highlight. After all that food, finishing with a cannoli just felt like the perfect ending. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, but the food is every bit as good as what you'd find at restaurants that cost a lot more. Live guitar music throughout the evening added to the experience created a nice vibe. My only suggestion would be maybe to turn it down a notch or two as it was a little hard to hear others at our table. Still a very nice touch though and all songs you would know. I always like it when a chef comes out of the kitchen, especially at a tasting menu, and Vinnie came out several times to chat with guests which was very nice. It just added a personal touch and showed how much pride goes into both the food and the overall experience and we got to hear his back story. This tasting menu is an incredible value and a great way to try dishes you might not normally order. Just remember to come hungry--and maybe skip lunch beforehand. If you can get a reservation for one of these tasting nights, don't hesitate.

The prices are reasonable for the amount of sandwich you get which is important to me because I'm student. The bread was soft & everything was fresh. I will be returning. I also met the owner Chris who was the one that made my sandwich. He was very friendly & gave me recommendations. We started chatting & he mentioned that it was him & his dads dream to own a deli but unfortunately his dad passed. I asked how the business was going & he was telling me how he always tries to keep the prices fair for his customers even though everything is getting more expensive these past few years. The owner was super friendly and we had a few laughs as he shared about why he had started the biz. The two local crossing guards were hanging having a cup of coffee before heading to their corners. That was awesome customer service to me. So as I went inside to pay, he told me $10. In my mind,"I'm like seriously for this heavy sandwich I thought it would be at least $12. What a great deal" I thought. I paid and thanked him and rode my bike home burning off some calories before putting them back with this sandwich . The ricotta on the sandwich was creamy and plentiful. The oil and oregano were perfect compliments. This is another business I have spent some time ordering from during the shelter-in-place. They have adapted and worked as hard as possible to keep business-as-usually, even with some of the food shortages that are hitting the nation. One big bonus to me is how accommodating and friendly the staff is. They are always happy to see me (first name basis for all of us). They will make any order the way you want it if they have the provisions (and generally they do). They also crank the orders out pretty quickly considering items have to be prepared to order (no pre-sliced cold cuts, etc). Their provisions are exceptional (get some Fresh Mozzerella). If you have an issue with parking, you can get curbside pick-up. I generally like to park (even if I'm a block or two away) so that I can browse their market goods.
