no stars. Do NOT SHOP at Dillard's International Mall in Tampa, FL. I purchased a Calvin Klein dress for my daughter. The first time she wore the dress before even getting into the car I had to emergency sew the seam on the side. She wore the dress to the party. When she got home a few hours later the dress was coming apart at many different places at the seams all over the dress. The manager at Dillard's in the Calvin Klein department basically called me a liar. He said the truth is we really do not know what happen and would not give me a refund. Ha! I left the store with my dress in hand and vowed to never shop at Dillard's again. This type of customer care would NEVER happen at Nordstrom's. I bought a dress from here on Tuesday to wear the next day, I had worn it for an hour in order to go to a important meeting with my fiancé and his boss, today is Friday and I had brought the dress back to return, yes, I had removed the tag in order to wear, not knowing that I wasn't able to return the dress, what I was told was I was able to return the dress as long as I had the tag with it, I have spent hundreds of dollar's before that this store with ZERO issues of returning until now, as soon as the manager came over to look at the dress I was greeted with attitude, when she was looking at the dress she says "this was clearly worn" she said it like I doing fucken jumping jacks in it or something, all i was actually doing in it was standing, then I had said "well, maybe in the future something like that should be verbally said to a customer before purchasing the dress, because if I had known that I would've just gone to macys right around the corner", and the managers response to that was "well in big red letters right here it says that" literally the most unprofessional encounter I have ever had before, I will never be shopping at Dillards ever again, I rather walk around the corner and go to macys, they have a better selection anyways. read more

Vultures- Took a drive to Tampa to shop at Dillard's couldn't shake this New Yorker salesman followed me around like I was a dollar bill. After selecting over $250 of clothing I ask him for a 10% discount as I received one at another Dillard's in Sarasota and was told NO! I bought the items anyway but I can get a 10% discount at McDonald's if I just ask. Cheap ass company worried about the big profits rather than returning customers. I was in another Dillard's in Sarasota and was offered a small 10% discount for being a good customer. So when I asked this location in Tampa international plaza you would've thought I was asking them to lose money? I will do my shopping elsewhere. read more

My husband told her what he was looking for and she went on the floor and brought back many items. She really went above and beyond in helping us. What an excellent experience on the evening of Dec 20 at Dillard's at International Plaza in Tampa. The ladies in the men's department (Polo) were delightfully helpful and customer centric, and the store was clean, organized, and beautiful for the holidays despite it being at the very end of a very busy holiday shopping weekend. Dillard's shoe department really disappointed me. I asked a salesman for a size 7, he said the smallest size is on display, which was an 8 but he could get me a size 7 in another color to see if the size is right. Of course I agreed and thanked him but then he said "are you going to order it?" I was a little confused since he didn't get me the size so I replied "Well I have to try it on first." He then said "I'm not going to wast my time getting the shoe if you're not going to order it." I was so shocked I didn't know what to say. He went back to get the shoe and 2 women shoppers next to me said to me "Did I hear him right? That he didn't want to waste his time?!!!" I left the store, never going back. If I could rate this Dillard's location zero stars I would. My mom went there to return a shirt she purchased for my dad. There was NO ONE on the sales floor, and since my mom has been a Dillard's employee for almost a decade, she knew to pick up the phone at one of the registers and dial zero to get an employee to come down. There were multiple people gathered at the cash register and none of them were being helped so she was doing everyone a favor. One of the employees in the Men's Suits department, Kenny, saw my mom do this and came over and literally yelled at her to the point one of the customers that was a witness had to step in and tell Kenny to lower his tone and stop yelling at her because he was just going off. This kind of behavior for a store employee is extremely atrocious. The disrespect and complete disregard for customer service is very upsetting and the audacity to literally raise his voice was absolutely uncalled for. My mom came home crying and extremely upset and this should NOT be something ANYONE should experience. DO NOT COME HERE. Literally pick ANY other location. read more

I would love to give them a ZERO star rating!! Needed a formal dress and decided to go here. Walked up to a counter to ask where the formal dresses were and the clerk was on her phone texting away. Never looked up at me for almost 5 minutes so I turned and walked away. Went to another counter and a lady directed me to the formal dresses. Went to the counter and asked the clerk if she would be able to help me locate some dresses and she looked at me and said she was going on break and these other two ladies can help. Well they never came to me and kept hanging up dresses. Decided to go over to the plus side of the store and look at dresses there. Two sales ladies were chatting up a storm and knew I was there but neither one ever came up and asked if I needed help. I left the store and went to David's Bridal and their customer service was impeccable. Kudos to their customer service! read more

My husband spent $227 on a shirt, jacket, pants, belt and shoes for our son who is 11. He needed dress clothes for school. We purchased the items on Tuesday and he wore them on Thursday. After wearing the shoes ONE TIME, by mid day at school his shoe's broke and his whole toe was exposed at the top. The whole stitching of shoe was ripped. After school I took the shoes back. My husband had to go out of town for work and did not have the receipt. He sent me an electronic copy of our transaction,date purchased, transaction number, reference number, everything.... I went to the shoe department and had to deal with Ivette, the manager. Before I could even explain my situation, she rudely said to me "I can't take these back in this condition", as if my son had worn them for a year and we were now asking for a refund. I didn't even ask for a refund, I was asking for a new pair, in addition to the two ties and socks I was buying... She never let me explain and simply did not even believe that we bought the items two days ago and that my son wore them one time! I have never been treated so badly. I took my shoes and left my other items and told them I would be shopping at Macy's from this point on. I will never buy anything from them again! I asked for their managers name, they would not give it to me, I asked for her full name, she would only give me her first name saying she was the only Ivette shoe manager at International mall. The other two ladies were behind the counter were clueless and before she got there, told me it would be no problem but they had to have her do the exchange. I won't stop here, I will continue to report her and this situation as much as I can. This was an awful experience, and I am completely disgusted by how I was treated. Dillard SUCKS! read more

I usually don't shop at Dillard's, but I decided to give it a try when I was at International one day. I went to the make-up section and the Clinique lady was extremely rude and unaccommodating. Will be sticking to Nordstrom's -- much better customer service and nicer people there. read more

never never will i shop online or in store at dillards ...made a online purchase using my paypal, and then return item. dillards cannot credit paypal - so i received a gift card back in july. ( didn't catch that disclaimer when making purchase) not sure why a national department store doesn't have that technology available to issue credit on paypal...they except this method of payment so why can you not issue credit!!!! over a month later, ...today i tried using gc- number on card not valid. they have had my money now going on 2 months! "oh well..." i was told, now i must wait because they are mailing new valid card...7 to 10 days to receive. they will not expedite card to me. cannot make the purchase i wanted to make today. and they still are sitting on over $200.00 of my $$$ this is a national department store... shameful read more

Wow, I am surprised at the reviews. I like shopping at Dillards and unfortunately we do not have Dillards in Michigan so I jump at the chance to visit Dillards. I shop primarily the women's section and this Dillards has to be one of the best I have ever shopped. Full sections of Eileen Fisher, Michael Kors, Vince Camuto including Two by Vince, and my favorite brand for turtleneck tops Investments. The sales are fantastic and, at least during my visit, the sales team was very helpful. Also, items were organized with enough space for meandering aisles. read more

I love Dillards, but my visit this time was not particularly a good one. My daughter had planned to return a pair of shoes that her grandmother gave her for Xmas. She was hoping to do this without her grandmother knowing. She told the salesman that she wanted a store credit, but unfortunately, he either didn't hear her, or forgot to hit the right button. He ended up crediting Grandma's credit card instead. Just exactly what my daughter did not want to happen. My daughter was visibly upset and asked if he could fix it. He kind of indicated that it was a done deal and didn't seem overly concerned about fixing the problem. I asked if he could void the transaction. He said he could, but he had to have manager approval first and he wasn't sure if that would even fix the problem. A couple of other employees came over to weigh in on how to fix our issue. I used to work in retail and I was shocked to learn that the employees couldn't void a sale without a manager's approval. Come on Dillard's, have a little faith in your employees!! So...we waited for a manager to come to bless the void. Fortunately, the void fixed the problem and we were able to get a store credit and hopefully Grandma will be none the wiser. The salesman apologized for the inconvenience, but this all took much longer than it should have. Now, to why I like Dillards. They have a huge selection of women's clothes and shoes. And, eventually everything goes on sale at Dillard's. And for the savvy shopper that watches out for sales, there are several sales throughout the year where additional discounts are offered off of the already reduced prices. If you haven't shopped at Dillard's on New Year's Day you have missed the sale of the century. It is a madhouse, but it's a madhouse of bargains! read more

I don't have a Dillard's locally so I ordered a dress on line, it didn't fit and they charge $6.95 to return it then another Shipping charge to resend the proper size. Definitely NOT a place I'd shop on line again. I'll stick to Nordstroms or Macy's. read more

My daughter purchased four prom dresses to try in for prom when she went to return the dress today with receipt and tags the manager refused her return saying the dress was torn and dirty at the bottom. If it was torn and dirty at the bottom my daughter wouldn't have purchased it nor worn it!!!! This store is awful my daughter is out $350 of her own money because of the lousy management here who told her to sell the dress on "eBay"!! She is within the allotted time to return the dress and all other department stores accepted the return on their dresses except for this lousy store and its pompous awful nasty managers at Dillard that didn't even offer her a store credit but flat out refused to accept the dress back! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, poor communication and does not meet its obligations to its customers! The receipt claims she can return the dress within the allotted return policy and she did only to be denied a return on a "$350 dress! So this STORE DOES NOT HONOR ITS OWN POLICIES WRITTEN FOR CUSTOMERS! We will not be shopping here ever again! read more

Returned my top that at purchased at full price with all tags, including the special "needed for return tag" - apparently it had been over 30 days so they would only give me the sale price and a gift card. With this type of return policy I would expect Dillard's to go out of business in the next few years. read more

The next time you visit the women's shoes section at Dillard's International Mall, take a look at the carpeting. It's been that way for about 10 years now: the filthiest, nastiest sales floor I've ever seen. I wouldn't allow my wife or my mother to shop there. I purchased a pair of "Big Star" men's jeans from the Dillard's at International Mall in Tampa, FL about 18 months ago for $140, last week the jeans tore(5 inches) in the back near the pocket nowhere near a seam. They are not repairable. With average wearing, this should never happened for the price which was paid. I have had other jeans from this company and have not had any issues. It is very disappointing to purchase such an expensive pair of jeans and have this happen in this short amount of time. read more

I had the same issue as the review below. I love Dillard's and have shopped there for years spending a lot of money there. My visit with this store at the Gianni Bini formal department with Anna was terrible. I ordered 2 semi-formal dresses online (since I moved to NJ as the Dillard's are scarce) for some weddings I had coming up. Upon receiving them and trying them on, they did not turn out to be what I envisioned on so decided to just return them in store when I would be near a Dillard's (about 2 weeks later). When I went into the Dillard's and the proper section to return the dresses Anna inspected each dress for 5 min each and looked at the bottom of the dress, full dress, tags, etc over and over as if to keep looking would make a stain appear (even though the dresses had only been tried on, did not have any stains and sat in my closet until returning). The dresses had also gone on sale since I bought them and she was trying to overly look up the items even though my receipt clearly had full price on it (because that's what I paid). I also had another item I was returning, and she said she could not find the item on the receipt. When I asked her could I see the receipt to verify the number with tag barcode and found it she was like, "oh". Really disappointed with the unpleasant, rude, and profiled customer service experience I received at this Dillard's. Not to mention as I was walking out of the store and browsing the dresses plenty of them had stains on them. Typical. read more
