This Dillard's was okay. It was organized well. Things were neat. They also had some more upscale brands compared to the Dillard's near me. I enjoyed browsing the store but did not buy anything. Not one employee greeted me through the store. Heck, there weren't that many to be found. I like for someone to at least say hello. The store felt a little dreary. It felt outdated. I felt a little, just, meh walking through the store. There were no sales or promotions. Prices seemed a bit high. This was my first stop in this mall before checking into the hotel. It just didn't make a great impression. I hadn't been to this store/mall in several years and I think Dillard's could use a spirit boost. read more

Stopped into Dillard to pick out a housewarming gift and had such a great experience. We were greeted by a lovely woman who mentioned she had moved here from Ohio a few years back, I wish I could remember her name because she was truly wonderful to work with. She offered thoughtful recommendations, helped us find exactly what we needed, and even took care of getting the gift beautifully wrapped for our friends. A recent shopping trip to Dillard's was fun. I loved shopping at the Dillard's in Phoenix and was happy to learn that Naples also has a Dillard's. The store is packed with clothes, shoes, handbags, cosmetics and a nice selection of housewares. It's enjoyable to shop here, everything is clean and usually well stocked. I would have given them a five rating, but a Christmas tree that we bought last year had non working lights when we put it up this year. The clerk said, " this tree is guaranteed for a year", when I purchased it last year, but on checking their policy, what she said was not correct. On my most recent trip, a sales clerk didn't check to see if an item that I was interested in was marked down. She just said it wasn't. These are only two things that Dillard's dropped the ball on, purchases and service have mostly been fine. Dillard's has always been one of my favorite department stores to shop in, but it does seem like their customer service is going down. They have a great inventory and quality products, but a helpful staff is important. I hope they don't start going downhill with that, because it makes a difference in choosing to shop with them or somewhere else. Customers will usually pay more than average prices in Dillard's, but they should get better than average service too. Dillard's stocks items like the hard to find Tom Ford line and it's nice to be able to check out fragrances before buying, especially with Tom Ford. This line can be very hard to find in stores. Unfortunately on this trip, I stopped to get a spritz of a Tom Ford fragrance and there was no perfume left in any of the bottles. Guess everyone else had the same idea! Anyway, this quality store is great for window shopping or finding something you love. read more

Went to Dillards today at Coastland Mall, that was after I went to Waterside Shoppes only to find out there are no stores that carry women's lingerie, went to Saks only to find they do not sell lingerie and the only main store there that did has moved to 5th ave. Went to Dillards at Coastal Mall and cannot believe the help I received from Kathy. Really, how much fun can buying ladies bras and panties be, well, she made it fun while educating me on size and fitting for the best comfort and style. Then she educated me on care for my investment on the products I bought. If I was Dillards I would open a really nice comfortable lingerie store complete with customer service in Waterside Shoppes. The department was so well maintained and Kathy knew her products and was able to directed me to exactly what I was looking for, so very pleased that there is still customer service available with a one on one shopping experience. read more

I do not shop here due to their policy. They do not price match or honor sale prices. If you try and return it to rebuy it they will say they cannot do that. The item is "removed" from the floor for 24-48 hours to discourage this. Of course this year the only place my daughter found a prom dress that she absolutely loved was here. They had a sale the next week where they were 10% off and you could get a garment bag. I came back and unfortunately, they did not have another one in her size, otherwise I would've just purchased that one and returned the original unworn one. So I asked if there was anyway they could make an exception and of course the answer was no. Worst customer service ever. Wish I could give no stars. I do want to stress. This is not a reflection on the associates. They are all very friendly and helpful. read more

Terrible experience today at this store. I was returning a pr of Eileen Fisher slacks. I approached a sales clerk named Lynda and I stated I had a return. She just shook her head no. She refused to wait on me. She told me to go to another register and wait for the sales clerk at the other register. I am a frequent Dillards shopper in Sarasota and I have an Elite card which means I buy a lot at this store. I know that you returns are accepted at any register. Sylvia waited on me and told me Lynda never wants to accept returns. Because my item was purchased 40 days ago, I was to receive a gift card for the $201.00 return. But Sylvia said the only way she could accept my return was if I used the $201 gift card today only and at her register. I knew this couldn't be true. I asked a manager named Emma in a dept on the first floor if my gift card expired today and told her about my experience. She was appalled that Lynda wouldn't wait on me and Sylvia told me that in order to receive a refund on a gift card that I had to use the gift card today and at her register only. Emma suggested I speak with Lisa the store manager. I waited for Lisa and she was busy so I didn't speak with her. A floor manager came out to talk to me. She either didn't understand why I was upset or didn't care. She just shrugged it off. I turned to my friend and said it was pointless to lodge a complaint. These people could care less about the customer. I will be writing a review on my local Dillards and how wonderful the sales women are at the UTC Dillards store. read more

I love going to the Chanel counter and getting my makeup and skincare from Doris. She is absolutely amazing! She's my own personal shopper. She sends me messages when a new product is out that she thinks I'd like. She is very knowledgeable about the Chanel line, and that in itself is awesome. I ordered a gift card on December the 11th in plenty of time for Christmas. I called on 18th to say I had not received it and was told it takes 5 to 7 weekdays. It is now December 24th and I was going to give this as a gift and no card. I call customer service only to be told the card was returned to them without explanation to why returned as they have my correct address. Asked if I could cancel the card and was told no it would be sent again!!! Well, what makes me think I will get it anytime soon. Asked if could have it expedited again NO. Just a warning DO NOT purchase anything online from Dullards or you will never receive it nor will you be refunded. read more

Beautiful store, helpful employees and wonderful inventory. If the don't have your size they will find it for you and send it to your home. CONSUMER BE AWARE!!! If you purchase "anything" on sale and the clerk says you can get your money back in three days! That is not correct, you get a STORE CREDIT. If you purchase shoes and they get damaged within 5 months, you do not get your money back. They have a store policy that if shoes are damaged within 30 days, they will return your money. NOTE: Really? 1 - You would expect Dillard shoes to not break down, especially for the prices that they sell them for. 2 - You would not expect any shoes to break within 30 days. 3 - What happened to customer service. 4-CONSUMER BE AWARE OF WHAT YOU PURCHASE THERE - THEY LOST MY BUSINESS AND I WILL TELL OTHERS ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE. I came to Dillards for a suit For my wedding. We had decided to elope so I needed the suit within three weeks. The suit salesman, Brian assured me that the suits arrived in 10-14 days with plenty of time for alterations. I ordered it March 11th. I checked back after 10 days and was assured that it was coming. Two weeks passed and I spoke to the manager Kevin, who explained that it wasn't really 14 days it was 14 business days... at this point I attempted to find an alternative elsewhere but it was too late. Long story longer, the suit never arrived. I got married in a dress shirt. After the wedding I received a few empty apologies and I was told by both Brian and Kevin that they were refunding the money. It is now April 22 and I've had to call back again to see why I haven't been refunded. I receive promises to get a call back. Kevin even takes down my number but no response. I grew up here in Naples. I have shopped at Dillards my entire life. I would have recommended it to anyone. Needless to say I will now be telling this story and highly advise avoiding the suit department. I also attempted to speak to the corporate people and was told to talk to the store. I will be returning to speak with them and continue to pursue this but wow. Customer service is not a priority here. And, if any of the managers of this Dillards would like to save me my fourth trip to your store to resolve this, feel free to call me. Kevin has my number. read more

This store has some great merchandise, especially for the limited shopping in Naples Florida. I went into the store at Coastland Mall because after internet shopping , the store has the perfume I was looking for. Finding out after going to the cosmetic department they did not have any in the store, so I asked if I could have it shipped to the store. The clerk said yes. he asked for my home address, I stated that I did not want it shipped to my address because if it sits out all day, it is 100 degrees right now in Naples, Florida. A female clerk came over and began to tell the guy what to do. He was supposed to cancel the order to ship to my house, which I still don't know why it was ever done originally, and now he put in the address for the store so I could pick it up when it comes in. I get home 2 days later and the perfume was shipped to my house. The next day I get a call from Dillards, after asking them to text when it arrives at the store, the young man on the phone tells me there is a mix up and I have an order to pick up. I drove to Dillards the next day and asked a clerk working next to the escalator, where the customer service is located, instead of telling me where it is asked me why I want customer service? I repeat I just need to find the customer service department. Upstairs I find a very unfriendly employee at the counter, who after I explain the situation, goes directly to the store room and gets the package. I explained that I need to return 1 since I did not order 2, more importantly the order was an error on the part of 2 clerks in the cosmetic department. She asked for a receipt and said that I need to come back and bring the one delivered to my home for return. I produced the receipt and said I think it's best if you return the one that was shipped to the store. She was abrupt and lacked communication skills to be in a customer service roll. But I know that does not matter any more. She returned the one that was shipped to the store. I went back home and noticed she did not return the shipping charge, so I called first thing, I was transferred to the manager that night, was told to come back tomorrow, they need the card to return it. I went to the cosmetic counter as she instructed for the return of the shipping charge, I was told to go to customer service, they cannot make that kind of return at the counter. I was also told by the business manager,whoever gave me that directives does not know what they are talking about. Back to the customer service, a young man who again treats you as though you are asking for his wallet, says he cannot make a return for shipping charges. I state it was not my error that 2 items were shipped, and I will not pay for the shipping. He calls a manager. Puts the phone down, says nothing and makes the return of the shipping charges in a minute flat. I asked why I was told repeatedly by 3 different staff you were unable to make the shipping return. He said because it's on the internet. My order was not placed on the internet. It was placed at the store. And after all this ( are you tired yet?) I walked past a pair of shoes and wanted to try them in my size, asked the female shoe clerk if the have them in a 6? She came back with a 5 1/2, they were too small. I walked the box with the shoes to the counter where she was standing and put them on the counter and said they do not fit. Do you maybe have them in a 6 1/2 instead. She did not look up, she did not answer, she simply ignored me. One word would have worked and all I expected at this point from the past few days of my experience with Dillard employees. I left. The customer service in this store is horrific, the people helping you seem miserable. I did encounter only 2 seasoned professionals in this store both were women, upstairs in the ladies department, both I would place at 50 and above. The young people working for your store need training, I am not the enemy. You have jobs because people shop there. If enough people have to jump through hoops to shop here, your business suffers. And it won't be internet shopping at Dillards.... read more

I am so tired of going to the Dillard's Ester Lauder counter and the Lacome counter only to be told time and time again they are out of the cream I want or the lipstick I want. When I go to the coconut point Dillard they always fully stocked. After another horrible experience at the Lacome counter I will not be going back. I am going to Macy's. Even when I met with the manager his excuse was they do a tremendous amount of business. I kept trying to explain to him the level of service in his counters has gone significantly down hill. And the girl with all the tats in the Lacomd counter with the attitude can really ruin your day. Good by Dillard's. read more

Okay, the merchandise here is first rate HOWEVER the return policy is horrendous. I finally gave up using my Dillards change card because it seemed every time I had to return something it was so difficult and unpleasant. I am not the kind of shopper who abuses the return policy. I think I should be able to return after four days.....Anyway, no more Dillards charge card. I still like the store but I am using my Visa. I wish they could realize that a happy customer is more profitable in the long run, than a disgruntled one. After all, they are not offering anything that I couldn't buy elsewhere. I am compelled to write this on behalf of two young African American women that were attempting to return a dress. I happened to walk in with them and they went to the same department I was in. They approached the sales lady and asked if they could return the dress. Instead of doing the return she looked at the receipt and told them they had to go to that department. This happened to me one time in this very store and I marched over to customer service armed with her name to complain. I, however, am a white woman. They went to the other department. As I was leaving I walked passed them attempting to return it at the department they were told to go to. The white sales lady actually smelled the dress and took one that had not been purchased but was still in plastic wrap and told them that it did not smell the same. I am so appalled at this and I noticed the ladies just left and did not go to customer service which is what I would have done without thinking twice. read more
