It was 3:00 pm when I started calling the day after a holiday to find last minute labor to help my parents who were moving into the Charlotte area. Every single place was busy and booked and told me that I should have called earlier and planned better, but sometimes things happen and we were very last-minute this time.
Luckily, just as Dillard's Moving & Transport writes, they really do care about their customers! The woman I spoke to on the phone was incredibly kind and understanding even though I was calling so late, at this point it was about 3:30 pm. She immediately told me their flat rates, which they didn't surcharge even though it was same day and late in the afternoon. Then, she called some crews that were already out on a job to see if they would be willing to do another directly after, of course without very much notice.
Fortunately for me and my parents, the crew was as nice as the person I spoke to, and everything was squared away to help move! I handled everything on the phone because my parents were driving on the highway, and the crew was to be informed of their names, new address, and what was to be unloaded and moved. I have never worked with such a considerate company and team! I am a 12 hour drive from my parents, so hearing that they had forgotten to plan for movers was pretty unsettling because there was not much I could do. Understandingly, Dillard's put my mind at ease and agreed to do the job and help them at 5:00 pm.
It may not seem like much just reading this brief story in a review, but thinking of my parents driving 4 hours and moving furniture alone on a hot day in July truly bothered me. I am not sure if the employee I spoke to at Dillard's genuinely went above and beyond just for me, but I have a feeling that she would do the same for any customer. It's a warm and friendly company with a caring vibe! So, thank you!
If you have to move in the Charlotte area, I would definitely suggest this team (: read more
