The customer service was amazing, the staff was great and helpful. I wish I can say the same about the mall security. Followed us around the store and didn't let me shop without breathing down my neck everywhere I went. All I had was a bag from another store inside the mall, just like many others in the store but was singled out. I felt uncomfortable throughout my shopping experience. Terrible customer service and staff. They wouldn't let me return the dress, even though it had the tag on and had never been worn.

This is my 2nd time returning shoes that I purchased online. I returned them to the shoe department, with my online receipt. Both times, they sent me down to Customer Service. The customer service workers did not know how to credit my purchase back onto my credit card even with my receipt that showed the last four digits of my credit card. It was very frustrating, and both managers were gone to lunch and could not assist me. Please educate your workers on how to do a dillards.com return. Update: A week later I took the shoes to the dillards in Ogden. The lady working in shoes did it easily. Took 2 minutes instead of 30 in the Layton dillards. Very pleased with my Ogden experience and not sure why it was so difficult for 5 different t workers at Layton to not be able to figure it out. read more

Boring nondescript store in a hideous beige color throughout. Men's racks were crammed with clothing. Very hard to find anything. I needed a swim suit and shorts but the selection was so limited in April. Had to go elsewhere. read more

In General and overall the sales people that work at Dillards are top notch! From the people that work in fashion jewelry two ladies handbags and down two ladies dresses I've always had excellent experiences. I spend thousands with the Dillards company every year! Today is Saturday, July 24, 2021. Yesterday was Friday, July 23, 2021. Both times I was in the shoe department and was totally ignored by a sales person.She may be relatively new... But she worked Friday and Saturday of this week. Probably in her mid 40s. Dark hair. I think I detected a slight accent. Glasses. On Friday she was the only one in the ladies show area. That were 3 customers there when I arrived. She was giving her undivided attention to one customer. That customer had shoeboxes strewn everywhere. The other two customers- evidently this sales person had gone and gotten them a pair of shoes before I arrived.. But her attention was on one customer with the shoes on the floor. I was standing to the right by the register with a shoe in hand... She walked past me four times to the stockroom and ignored me. Then finally she went over to one of the other two customers to check in on them but then of course she went back to the one that had boxes strewn everywhere. As an afterthought she turned to me and said do you need some help. Out of my frustration I said - not from you! I have encountered sales people before that were working by themselves but they always acknowledged customers to let them know they would be helped. This woman ignored me and I felt it. I ended up going over to the men's shoes apartment and a very nice young lady help me out with the shoes that I wanted to try on. So today is Saturday, I decided to give the shoe department another chance. Like I said I love going into that department the people are still nice and the inventory is always just what I want. I walked around the department and saw a young man working with a customer. He's a regular very nice guy. I walked over near the middle register and there was the same woman from Friday evening. I looked around at different brands of shoes - three other people came into the department and she Approached them and asked if she could give them help. Believe it or not she never ever came over to me again. Again, I had to seek out someone else who is the young man working on the other side of the department to help me. I don't know if there is something personal about me that would make her ignore me. But that is how I am feeling now. read more

What a disappointment! My daughter and her friend were asked to the prom and excited to go and start looking for a dress! We have gotten several of her dresses at Dillard's in the past, but not this time!! The young ladies were approached by a twenty something blonde that asked them if they had an adult with them. They are both 18, have money, and were ready to shop no adult needed. When they asked for a dressing room, the not so great sales clerk told them they could not try any more on ( they had 5 dresses )! The women then rudely commented as she let them in to the dressing room, when your done hang them on the rack! The employee then went on to complain to another employee about how she wants to quit because she hates her job! A wise lady once said... big mistake, big...huge!! It would be great if people could be kind, let young people enjoy the excitement of finding the perfect dress!! read more

I was in the ladies department recently and was helped by a sales person at the name of Sheila. I was blown away with her knowledge of the Vintage handbags. This type of service that I received from Miss Sheila today was completely parallel with the type of service that I receive from Nordstrom's. Some of the other sales people are kind of goofyBut thank goodness for Sheila. I have shopped in Dillard's for years and I am pleased that They have a sales person with the knowledge,expertise, that I demand. It is also good to see that you can pretty much rely on someone being there and there won't be so much turnover in the department. read more
