It got to be very entertaining to see what they would do instead of not helping me. To get our shoes we had to fill out what we needed on an iPad that was by the shoes. That was the only way we could get someone's attention. Once we found out what shoes we wanted we had to wait again at the desk because we needed to get the right replacements for the bottom of the shoes. The only way we got someone to help us was to fill out the iPad again that we needed another pair of shoes, but we said no we just need your help once the guy showed up. When we went to check out, we were found out we were given the wrong shoes and so we went and got the sample one so they could get us the right pair. The girl was totally bugged, but they got a pair that was $100 more. I'm going to notice that??? The cashier was very unfriendly, and was also bugged! We stepped back so she could help other customers while we waited. We could've just stood there, made the customers wait while we waited for my correct shoes-- but thought we'd be nice... she didn't smile, say thank you, etc... My boys have played baseball, football, lacrosse, and now golf, and we've always liked Dicks to get their gear. We will not be returning. I'm still amazed as I think about all the employees that walked past us that never once asked how they could help us. One guy had an earpiece in so it looked like he was maybe more in charge than the others and he actually walked past three times with no words said or eye contact! Pretty sad!!! I understand they work in different parts of the store, but they could've called someone to come and help us very easily! We are going to get shoes elsewhere and return the shoes in the morning. No more money will be spent here... and I have spent thousands at Dicks every year... So I guess I will be going back one more time. Sooo bugged!!!

Back in the day, malls were booming, parking lot full of cars, food courts packed and revenue bursting at the seems. I was in the neighborhood of Layton Mall and decided to have lunch at the food court with the idea of having a nice walk through the mall, with the thought of looking for winter boots. After looking at styles & prices of Famous Footwear, Journey my eye caught TradeHome shoe store. Knowing this store is out of my budget, being a senior on a fixed income. As I've aged, dealing with issues of painful feet, knees & hips comfort is more important then style. It has been since I've shopped for shoes in a mall, so to my surprise discovered many different name brands from different parts of the world. Having severe arthritis, the weight of a boot or shoes is very important to me. Many name brands shoes/boots can weigh like a brick strap to your feet ! So as I was browsing through Tradehome shoes, the sales rep Katherine Felthager began her role of helping a senior hunt for just the right boot. She listened to my concerns of the weight of a boot & style I was looking for, slip on boot ( I didn't want to deal with a river of laces ) Katherine knew I was just searching & looking for winter boots, but not able to pay now but later when my Soc. Sec. check filled my account in 2 weeks. Even so, Katherine truly was a joy & helpful, she listened very well and so friendly. Her knowledge of all the brands & what part of the world the shoes/boots came from. I discovered many new brand names. Katherine went into the back room and came out with the perfect winter boot for me. As I enjoyed learning about so many new brand names and great craftsmanship of comfortable candles, shoes & boots. Katherine kindly wrote down name, size, stock number & price of my new perfect boot, which I will go back and purchase when my income allows. Thank you Katherine Felthager for the best experience I have ever had. Side note: after leaving Tradehome shoe store, I went to Dicks Sporting goods, where I found the same boot at a higher price !

He was super knowledgeable about each of the shoes that he suggested and I asked about and even the actual mechanics of running. He was the only one in the store and when it was full with 3 families at a time he was still attentive and made sure he was available. To be honest I wasn't going to buy the shoes but his customer service was so great that I couldn't walk out empty handed.
