Surprisingly great customer service! Shopping alone when you're disabled is always intimidating and scary. Especially if it's for formal wear. It was easy to book an appointment online. I arrived a little early and they were able to help me right away. The representative was simply amazing. Very thoughtful, did a great job listening to what I was looking for and helped me find what they had available in store. Unfortunately mine is a surprise event and we didn't have time to order in, but she let me know that was an option. Besides not having a huge selection in my plus size, it was a surprisingly positive experience. My only complaint is the dressing room had no bench, and so wasn't quite as accessible as I would have liked. But the assistance from the sales person definitely made up for that. read more

We had an amazing experience Saturday picking out my sisters wedding dress! There were a lot of brides checking in, but they were super organized and ready for everyone. Casey was our stylist and she also had another bride. She was so great at balancing both families and making us all feel special and included while maintaining social distancing to keep us all safe. The sales manager Jocelyn was there offering suggestions and helping while Casey was attending the other bride. We loved them both. They were so helpful! We didn't feel rushed or pressured to purchase and felt like Casey really listened to my sisters vision and came through with the most perfect dress!! I cannot wait to see it in her size Thank you so much for taking care of Beth! and ps the store was sooo clean and beautiful!!! read more

My sister went there to purchase a dress. The associate told her she looked good in it and sold her the wrong size. She assured her she could fit in a size 8 when she is a size 14-16. She now has an 800 dollar wedding dress she can't fit into and the store refuses to do anything about it. LIARS. I PROMISE TO TELL all the people I know about this experience. I called headquarters for her and I got the runaround. They gave me fake numbers that are out of service, when I did find someone I was hung up on twice and when I talked to a manager they told me they would contact the store and they never contacted us back. Horrible experience. read more

David's Bridal - Favorite dress!! They have a wonderful selection! - Bridal Near Me - Layton, Utah

Great staff & service! We visited in October 2020 and did not expect to purchase at a chain/big box store. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised ! Brittany, our consultant was wonderful - attentive, personable!! We found the bridal gown within an hour and Maid of Honor & Flower girls dresses shortly after. Gowns were delivered to the bride in Texas, Maid of Honor & Flower girls in Utah - ahead of scheduled deadline. Jocelyn provided EXCELLENT service to help when we had a sizing concern with the Flower Girl dresses. THANKS DAVID'S BRIDAL - LAYTON! Highly recommend! read more

Called to make my appointment about 4 days in advance, the lady was nice over the phone and confirmed my appointment with me. We arrived 30 minutes early to browse for bridesmaid/flower girl dresses. When it came time for my appointment I went up front to check in and they didn't have me in their system and said they were all booked. Pretty disappointing considering I made the appointment over the phone and the lady read my appointment date and time back to me to make sure it was right. The girls said they could have their manager be my consultant, but after browsing their dresses I didn't find anything worth trying on and decided to go with a previous dress I found in bountiful. I'm a lot more confident in that shop considering how well they pampered me and were not in any way snooty or pushy. I'm actually kind of glad my appointment wasn't in their system read more

Horrible experience at David's Bridal In Layton. We scheduled an appointment to try on bridesmaids dresses. The consultant was bouncing between two groups trying on dresses and was little to know help. When we finally found dresses, we were informed that there was a 16 week lead time to order the dresses. This timeframe would not work due to the wedding being in 17 weeks. Then we were told that they could lie about the wedding date and have it available in 10 weeks. We decided to go to lunch to discuss and when we came back after lunch to order it, the same consultant and store manager said they were unable to get it any sooner than the 16 week lead time and tomorrow it would most likely be 18+ weeks. Needless to say I will never do business with them as I feel like they do not care about the customer and lie to make a sale. read more

I'd highly recommend the Layton store over the Salt Lake location. It is smaller and has more of an intimate feel. Shay was very patient and pleasant. I scheduled a bridesmaid appointment and had 6+ people at the store with kids. Yikes! That was not a good idea. The intent was to check out flower girl dresses but didn't find anything we liked. I didn't give Shay 5 stars because she started our appointment late and didn't extend the time we lost. I didn't appreciate that :( To have lost time and then feel rushed. The manager is very pleasant and worked with us. She is a great leader for her team and very customer focused! Overall, I would recommend this location read more

Alyssa Stewart is AWESOME!!! I finally bought my dress on my fourth visit to David's Bridal (I know, I'm indecisive) and my consultant was Alyssa Stewart. Unlike other consultants at this store and others that I shopped at, I never felt pressured into choosing a dress. Alyssa is patient and has a wonderful personality. I can't thank her enough. I would definitely recommend scheduling an appointment with Alyssa if your in the market for a wedding dress. read more

I had an appointment first thing at 9 am on a Saturday morning. My "stylist" was late, so the manager helped me at first. She was great, very friendly and seemed to want to get to know my style. Then came the lady who was supposed to help me from the get go... She wasn't proactive, and didn't seem to understand the style that I wanted. The manager spoke up a few times and would recommend things and seemed to care a lot more. My "stylist" really pushed me away from wanting to purchase from there and give her credit for the lack of work. Friendly, positive and fashion-forward are some of the characteristics that were lacking that are very important for a person working in that profession should have. read more

Came in today with my sister to look for wedding dresses. She had an appointment but was going to be a little late so my mom and I showed up at her appointment time to see if we could find anything in her style and size. We were extremely disappointed at how rude the employees were. When I walked in, they asked what they could help me with and I pointed to my mom and said that I was with her. They then rudely said "well the brides not here yet." They then proceeded to tell us that we could only stay until 3 because that's when our appointment ended. I understand that they have other people to help but if you want us to buy your dresses and come back, the least you could do is be kind and go the extra mile to make customers feel welcome. I'm a manager at a retail store myself and I could have done the job a lot better. read more

I went to see what they had with the gang in tow. I spent time explaining the looks I liked and what I didn't. Our consultant was fantastic. She pulled the dresses I pointed out as well and several that fit the category. She added accessories to each look so we could get the full picture. They had a fantastic plus size selection. I ended up leaving with the perfect dress $400 under my budget after alterations. read more

Thank you, Jocelyn! I greatly appreciate the service I had when walking into David's Bridal! The team and everyone there acted confident in helping me find a style of dress that I am to wear for my own wedding in the upcoming year. I am simply satisfied with how helpful and informative Jocelyn was towards me. I know I'm going to feel like a princess on our special day. Thank you! Thank! Thank you! It was great interacting with you and I know that I can come to you shall I have any additional questions. read more

If you are looking for cheaply made, cookie cutter dresses, go to Davids Bridal. The employees were rude and not helpful at all, the dresses seemed to be made of cheap fabrics and it was like walking into a dress shop where every dress is exactly the same. But that is what you get with a chain. read more

I had the best experience here. I made an appointment for a low key fitting with a small budget. I was still treated like a valued customer by Leah and the store manager. Leah was very kind, patient and attentive. She found me the perfect dress, within my budget, and knew what accessories to recommend. Also had a blast! Highly recommend. read more

Taylor and Lo were AWESOME -- I was hesitant about trying dresses on at a bridal shop, but these ladies were very accommodating and put me at ease. They were kind and understanding and patient and made the whole experience enjoyable! :) Thanks ladies! read more

Absolutely Terrible business. Alteration department made a mistake about dress I bought there, and Davids Bridal refused to make it right after speaking to corporate. I had to settle for a different dress 3 weeks before my wedding. I wouldn't be writing such a horrible review if they had refunded me just for alterations (which were $560) and not the remaining $750 spent at the store, especially since alterations are "guaranteed", but Davids Bridal won't take accountability for their mistake. I understand that mistakes happen, so I'm contacting someone else at corporate and I hope that they can make it right and I can edit this review in the near future. read more

We had the best sales rep, she was so genuine and nice, she was very helpful but kept her space. Her name was Sierra T she was non judgmental and amazing! The dresses were amazing, was a hard decision but I found my perfect dress! read more

Let's just say it was a experience I didn't plan on. I took my daughter in just to try on dresses. Be sure to make an appointment or you might end up coming back but it was so worth it. Whitney was so very awesome she first had my daughter look at pictures to find out her taste then took some time to pull out dresses. Whitney was very kind and respectful and open to ideas. My daughter found the dress that she wanted and we will only have a few alterations to be made. I would have given 5 stars if the alterations lady would have been nicer she acted like we were bothering her because I asked prices we kinda have to stick to a budget and didn't want to spend it all on the dress. Let's just say I am looking for a different place to go for the alterations. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. In there for an hour and absolutely no one offered any help. When we first walked in asked for names and acted all involved in their jobs. But for an hour after, never asked how are we doing, need any help. Buying 4 dresses but will go to another location to purchase. This location is a big joke. read more

I was helped by Leah! She was very knowledgeable and friendly! She was able to pull the gowns I showed interest in and helped me get into them without making me feel uncomfortable. I really valued her help and making everything look perfect when presented to my groom for show. I really loved the service I received from the second I stepped in the door. The staff was very friendly and helped me with everything, I went in not knowing a lot except that I needed a dress and it had to make me look pretty. I enjoyed my experience there and would totally go back. read more

My son just got married. The bridal gown from Davids was beautiful and well made. On the other hand the brides maids dresses were a disaster. All were tried on in the store and the fit was fine. All were measured by store staff. When the dresses came in some went past the brides maids knees and the same style hardly covered their behinds. There was no way to alter the dresses, they came in 4 weeks prior to the wedding which left no time to reorder. They were a DISASTER. Staff that we talked to indicated that it was not their problem. read more

Terrible customer service. The 1st time I went in the attendant assigned to my sister didn't help at all. I got the gowns for her, I helped dress her, etc. we decided to try one more time. We had a 5:30 appointment but showed up at 3:30 to ask if they could see us early, they said, yes, give us 15 min. An hour later we were still waiting. By 5:00 we were really mad when we asked yet again what was going on and were told an associate had just left. Yes, we had an appointment so if they had said, no, we're busy. We would have come back for the appointment. They shouldn't have said they could help us if they couldn't. I asked if we could just try on a few dresses ... No, the attendant has to help you. Why? I did all the work last time. read more

Customer service is a nightmare. My first trip in, I was greeted kindly at the door. I'd scheduled a appointment, and was introduced to my consultant. She took me around and showed me several gorgeous dresses and seemed happy to show me options in my price range (so far- so good), once I'd selected several dresses, and was ready to try on, the store got busier, and my consultant was hopping between clients. I was left in the fitting room with different associates coming in to help me with the dresses. My shopping experience was not too bad, and I did find a dress I loved and it was a total steal at only $99! Then came the alterations appointment. When I arrived for my appointment, they seemed understaffed. The woman doing the alterations was brand new, and did a nice job, but did not seem confident and took ages to pin my hem. The fitting: Again, I had an appointment, this time it was during the middle of the day, during the week, so I had to take off work to make it to the appointment, and they said the only appointments available were during the week. there was NO ONE at the front when I went in. I waited and then wandered back to the alterations area, one of the associates rudely asked if I needed help, as though I shouldn't have been in the back. Another woman came to help, but she was not from the alterations crew, and didn't know how to fasten the bustle, which is why I was to bring my maid-of-honor so she could learn. I had my kids with me, and my four-year-old daughter rang the "wedding dress bell" as she was waiting for me. The rude associate from earlier, gave us the dirtiest look! Alterations charged me $400 to bring up the hem, put in a bustle and add a corset to the back of the dress. There were additional charges to remove the belt which came with the dress. As I was leaving, the associate told me that I could come back in a couple of days before the wedding to have the dress steamed and pressed one more time. When I called to confirm this today, I was told that it would be an additional charge of $40 to steam and press the dress again. read more

Came in testing the waters before looking for a wedding dress. So we asked about brides maid dresses. They literally pointed us in a direction and just put our name on a dressing room...that's it. I set an appointment, I called in, they even had the gall to tell me to just "leave the dresses there when you are done". They then went to help a walk in who was thinking that their boyfriend was going to propose soon. Me and my fiancé felt completely pushed aside. Not only will I never recommend this place to anyone but I will vocally tell people to keep away if they even hint they are going to be married. Congratulations, you lost a potential high paying customer, and you will lose every customer you could have had that I run into. read more

Terrible! Every girls dreams of her "own" dress. David's does not have different dresses. All of them look exactly the same and seen before! The consultians were very rude and could care less if I got a dress or not. Half the time we couldn't even find her. We had to look through the book and find dresses because she was to lazy to pull some for me. After we told her some dresses to get she put one on me, dissapeared and never brought the rest! DONT GO!! It was my first time and I was overwhelmed as it was. She did'nt comfort me or help me at all. read more

I went to several of the davids bridal stores and just barely left the layton store SO happy. I have been trying to get a Vera wang dress in a certain color and was settling for a different color because I was told it wasn't available anymore. Taylor D was so amazing! He looked up online and told me exactly what/where/when I could get the dress and even in the original color I wanted. He let me try on other dresses in that same color and gave me great feedback and got me the dress I wanted read more

I would never recommend Davids Bridal to anyone! I tried on a dress that was way too expensive for me. When I told the employee that I had to think about it and talk to my mom, who wasn't able to make it yet is funding the dress, she became ignorant and rude. She proceeded to shove a credit card application in my face and tried to get me to fill it out. When I refused, she became even more upset with me instead of trying to find a similar dress in my price range. All they care about is money and not the bride at all! Worst place ever! read more

I felt like i had to be UP-SOLD on everything! Made me feel small and cheap. Rude and less than helpful. Don't waste your time here.

We had a great experience! All of the staff was very kind and helpful. Our consultant did seem a little busy having to help more than one customer, but she was very professional and still attended to our needs. We weren't expecting to find a dress on our first visit, but we did and at a fraction of the cost compared to other bridal retailers. read more

Why didn't we read the reviews prior to going there and paying THOUSANDS for a dress. We were told that a refresh/steam a week before the wedding would come with the HIGH price we paid ONLY to be laughed at and have their eyes roll and have their caddy looks at each other to be told that it would cost an ADDITIONAL $40! VERY misleading AND they denied they said it. GO somewhere else LADIES! EEK! Methinks not is an understatement! read more

Had some issues, but the manager was VERY responsive and helpful! Ended up being a good experience. Thanks!

More issues...Davids Bridal Lynnwood ordered my dress in the WRONG Size. SO now instead of having a shiny, new, never been worn before wedding dress, I have the dress from the floor. Sure they said that they will clean it and then turn around and charge me a fortune for the alterations-no discount although they had ordered the wrong size. Next up is my mothers dress, it came and they called me (not her) to say that it was in. My mom came over from Whidbey Island this weekend to pick it up. Luckily, she wanted to try it on before she left the store because the zipper was puckered and there was a hole in this dress. Really!!!! David's Bridal-dont you think that you could look the dresses over when they come it BEFORE calling and asking it to be picked up? A little quality control people! I have had such a miserable experience with Davids Bridal overall for my wedding and I will tell everyone to run in the other direction! read more
