I went to five bridal shops in the SLC metro before picking my dress. I had three great experiences, Bridal Image was one of the experiences that was not great. We were super early for our appointment and they weren't able to get us in early - which is 100% understandable, no problem. However, two women without an appointment walked in right after us and took a dressing room, so I didn't get to start my appointment until 15+ minutes past the scheduled time. This alone is not a big deal, but nothing was going right in this shop. It was an extremely chaotic atmosphere. The Bridal Image gals apologized to us a few times, but seemed to have no control over what was going on. Another group of girls came in and were beyond rude and awful to be around. There is only one platform, so it was a weird situation when one person is standing on the platform forever, or awkwardly standing there waiting their turn, etc. My mom and I just tried on a handful of dresses in a dressing room, never came out, disliked all of them, and left so fast to get the heck out of there. Maybe it would be a better experience if you came in on a weekday and you don't have to battle a bunch of bridezillas and momzillas? They did have a fun little sale room that has different colored dresses - would recommend checking it out for homecoming or mother-of-the-bride or other formal occasion dress. read more

I am a plus size bride and I was already worried about finding a dress in my size. I have previously shopped from this store when I bought my senior cotillion dress and had no issues. However, this most recent experience was less than ideal. I called and made an appointment and gave my size and the gal basically told me to come in and they only had 3-4 dresses in my size (22) and said "well if you don't find one here, guess you'll have to go to another store" So I was already put off by that comment. I got there and same gal pulled the dresses they had in stock. I tried them on and the first one didn't fit very well bc the arms were waaayyy too small. She still made me put it on and clipped the front to my bra. I wasn't feeling it. (Also, I am aware bridal sizing is generally at least 2 sizes over your normal dress size). I put on a few others and Then I put the last one on and it fit perfectly. Fit like a glove. The consultant then said "I like this one because it zips up" directly aiming at my size. I ignored it and moved on. When asked if they had any other sizes the said they can order them but if they do I have to buy the dress or else they'd have every size in store.(Which they should!). For a store that claims to have a large amount of "Plus Sizes" they did not and were very rude to me and acted like I wasn't welcome. Long story short if you're a plus size bride, DO NOT SHOP HERE. I took my money elsewhere and found my dress at David's Bridal in SLC. The consultant was AMAZING and made me feel beautiful in every dress I tried on and always reassured me that "they got me and we'll find the one today" They have a MUCH better selection and sizes are true to size. I have been buying dresses from Bridal Image for many years. Each of my 3 daughter's found their dream wedding dress at Bridal Image. The staff is professional, helpful and compassionate. The gals who do the alterations are skilled beyond belief - like little fairy godmothers! I have recommended Bridal Image to everyone who is looking for a bridal gown and they have all had wonderful experiences there. Pricing is more than fair and selection is wonderful. Very pretty dresses, if you're a size 0-6. Not much selection above that. The employees don't offer much help at all. There may as well just be a wal mart cashier up front. Overpriced for my poor quality gown, but all sales are final so that's my own fault I guess. Alterations are expensive as well, and they double charged us. (Paid when we left it there to be altered, had to pay again when the gown was picked up.) No shoe selection, no slips or corsets, not even to use to try on with the gowns. Overall I wish I would have taken my $1100 elsewhere. read more

Bridal Image is the greatest place. I live out of state. My daughter lives in Utah. She bought the most beautiful dress that completely captured her personality. Due to technology I was able to be with her via FaceTime. Her future mother in-law and sister in-law were both present with her. The sales person was so helpful and very pleasant. After trying on a few dresses, the 4th one she tried on, was the dress. However, she did try on a couple more but went back to the fourth dress she had tried on. We all felt, this , is the dress. She didn't purchase the dress this day. She walked out and the ladies were so sweet about the time spent with my daughter. They did tell her that they understood her not making an immediate purchase. She was told the dress would need to be ordered in the size smaller than what she tried on. "Take a week or two to decide", they said. Then come back and try the dress again. My daughter left, and returned a couple weeks later to try the dress on again. She did say "Yes"! to the dress. A deposit was made and an appt. was set for 2 months later for alterations. The dress was ordered in her size and arrived a few weeks later. Prior to the alteration appt I arrived in town and my daughter wanted me to see the dress on her. We arrived and were greeted promptly. She tried on the dress and she then tried on veils . When returning for alterations we were again greeted by friendly staff. Adjustments were made and we paid the balance owed on the dress and an alteration fee. The dress was ready when we were told it would be. She tried it on and felt ok in it. But, after having it at home and trying the dress on again. An alteration that was made needed to be added back in. The seamstress was more than happy to accommodate at no extra charge. The dress was once again available for pickup and it was perfect. First look photos were taken and the dress got dirty on the bottom. For a small, reasonible fee Bridal Image cleaned and restored the dress to new. From May-Sept our experience with Bridal Image was an A+. I highly recommend this place for your bridal or evening gown needs. read more

BRIDAL IMAGE IS THE WORST! DO NOT GO HERE! My Fiancé went in for her wedding dress. The girl that helped her was super rude! Told her that her favorite dress for my fiancé was one that would zip up! Very unprofessional! I can't even believe someone would comment on someone else's size. None of the "plus size" dresses were true to size. I was married in March of 2011 and Bridal Image was one of the first appointments I booked when I got engaged. My sister and so many of my friends had purchased their dresses there so I expected it to be a great experience. My mom was in a wheel chair at the time and as we entered the store and struggled to get her through the entrance, the sales associate just stared at us while picking at her split ends. When we got in the store, she actually didn't even approach us. I told her that I was getting married in March and wanted to look for wedding gowns within a certain pricepoint. She proceeded to tell me to pull the gowns that I wanted to try and go back in the dressing room. So I pulled my own gowns, went back into the dressing room, and tried them on with my sister's help. When I came out to show my mom, she wanted to take pictures so she could show my future mother-in-law, who wasn't able to come. The store associate said that we were not allowed to take pictures. I can understand why they have that policy, but seriously? One picture is going to break your business? The sales associate looked like she was about 18, she had short blonde hair. I never did get her name because she hardly spoke with us at all. She spent the majority of the time we were in the store picking at her hair or texting on her phone. I was ready to drop a thousand dollars or so on a wedding gown THAT DAY and she acted like I was chopped liver. Needless to say, Bridal Image's selection was beautiful. Their gowns are exquisite and their prices aren't unreasonable. But I was so dismayed by the service - or lack of service, I should say - that I left and never went back. It may have just been that one associate because I know so many friends that have had wonderful experiences there. But this is one bride who was not only disappointed, but insulted at the way I was treated there. I now tell my friends to avoid Bridal Image and recommend other bridal stores in the Salt Lake area because every bride deserves the proper attention when shopping for her special day. read more

I don't know why this place got such a bad review. Their selection of modest and regular dresses was great and Katherine was super fun. They let us stay as long as we wanted (granted it was a Monday afternoon). Their prices were totally reasonable, and it was just the right size. If you want a more personal experience, and want to avoid the David's Bridal feel like we did, give this place a shot! read more

Bridal Image was the first store for my daughter's wedding gown.. Peggy was So experienced with helping my daughter find a dress that she desired.. We decided on one but wanted to explore other shops.. After 3 more shops.. We went back to Bridal Image and got "The Dress" !! Unlike the other bridal stores.. Bridal Image provides In House Alterations.. AND they provide the materials from the same manufacturer as your dress!!!.. The atmosphere is Quiet and Peaceful.. You feel SPECIAL... I found this store online and after looking at their website and finding lots of dresses I thought were beautiful and lots of modest options if I decided to go that route, I decided to stop in. They were not very friendly and not very helpful, they told me to look around and find stuff to try on and I'll get you a dressing room. They only eplanation was sizes are smaller to larger.. I found a couple, they are all quite heavy I am also short so it was a bit difficult to get the dresses down and over to the dressing rooms. I tried a few with no assitance, then a few more that required it and they did help me out. After that it was like they were done and stopped helping, I found a gown I loved but was to large and would require to many alterations, they called the company and found out they had the two possible sizes in stock that would work and we would decide which one to order after measurments but the dress wouldnt ship until one month prior to my wedding date (3 months out for shipping, what?) It stressed me out thinking that this coule be my dress.. the one and I would barely have enought time to get it hemmed and whatever else might be needed since I could only try on the larger dress! I decided to leave and think about it. I called them a few days later because I couldnt get the gown out of my head, I spoke to a different girl she seemed more helpful and decided to call the dress company again to find out about shipping options and found out I can rush it for a small fee and that would give me a minimun of a month and a half but more likely 2 months before my wedding date to get it all fixed up right. This is good news but no one can give me one good reason why it cant ship in a normal time frame, Why is shipping three months out regardless of the rush option if the dress is in stock? Makes no sense and cant get any answers.. read more

Very disappointed at lack of customer service. Called to see if they carried mother of groom dresses and said they did. When I went into store not one acknowledgement from any staff. Granted they were busy but a simple "welcome" would have satisfied me. I looked at the few racks they had and still no acknowledgement. This was the first place I went to try on dresses after driving in from out of state. I went with a small group and just wanted to try things on and get the "bridal experience" while I went through the stress of trying to find a dress. The consultant that helped me was extremely pushy; putting shoes on me, a veil, etc. all without my consent. She didn't even let my party answer my questions or give me opinions opting rather to have her input in my ear and talking over me constantly. It was obvious she just wanted me to buy a dress, and fast. The first dress I put on she asked as I walked out the room "is this the one?" couldn't wait for me to even see it or let my mom see, even though it was the first wedding dress I'd tried on. My maid of honor had to get me in and out of the dresses, no one else helped. The shop is small, only one podium and several brides had to wait as one girl used it to show family and friends. The owner was very nice. I did find my dress here but bought it elsewhere, especially as another bridal shop showed me how to get my dress altered cheaper from the manufacturer rather than pay the shop. Do not recommend if you want a fun and relaxing bridal experience. read more
