Saeid has done an excellent job with our daughter's school uniforms the past few years. She is always in between sizes so typical sizes don't fit her well at all. Her uniforms have been tailored to fit her like a glove but have enough give to last her the entire year. She has sensory issues and hates certain closures so he's also taken extra care to add a heavy duty metal clasp on the side which has been much easier for her to get in and out of. I recently had my stepfather go get a suit tailored and Saeid completely transformed his this for him. He's in his 80s and he's never had a suit tailored like that in his lifetime. I highly recommend him for his suit tailoring skills. Any comments about his store hours - I've never had an issue with this. However, he is the only one working at the shop. There's no way for someone running a shop solo to never be able to leave. Not realistic. Just call ahead to make sure he's in or make an appointment. read more

Really needed a suit tailored. Looked everywhere for someone I trusted. Found Saeid at Sew N Fit. No longer on the hunt because I found exactly the man for the job. Saeid runs a busy shop, but is able to accommodate you if you're not asking for the universe. In my case, I needed one suit pants altered. Set me back about $75.00 - not the cheapest, but I'm willing to pay this for premium work. He had the pants completed in one week even though it would have normally taken him a little longer due to the volume of work. What I really appreciated about him was that he took the time to be human, and show interest in you. I specifically appreciated how he not only knew my name, but others who walked into his store. Great touch of customer service and shows me he has loyal customers for a reason - he's that good. After handling my pants, I was curious about some of the material in his shop. He took time to show me the low-end material vs high-end material - something I didn't realize. I now know which suit jacket lining is cheap, and which is expensive. Thanks for the education! He also explained that he can custom make suits for any occasion. I love suits too much, and I just might have to take him up on the offer in the future. They have done a good job on the clothes I've brought into them before. The turn around time is a bit long, but they are up front about it. However, on multiple occasions I have tried to go to have additional items tailored during their listed hours and they have not been open. I'm so disappointed. Recommended this place to my daughter after seeing all the positive reviews. She took a bridesmaid dress to be hemmed and to fix the front, which was loose. Unfortunately she asked a friend to pick it up since she was stuck in Wyoming due to the flood. Not only was her dress not hemmed properly but the front fix was so bad she was in tears. And she already paid $130. Desperate to fix the situation she begged another establishment to fix her dress (in less than 2 days before the wedding). She never told them she had already taken the dress to be hemmed. This seamstress asked if a child had hemmed the bottom of the dress and the front fix made her look like a Granny. Fortunately they were able to fix it but she had to pay another $135.00. I called Saeed, store's owner but did not get a sympathetic response. He only offered to give my daughter $15 back. Needless to say she will never go back here. She had a bad feeling when she first went in and left her dress with them to alter. She should have gone with her instincts.n read more

I had the misfortune of buying a dress jacket online only to discover that it was poorly made: the sleeves were too long and the buttons mismatched to the button holes. Prior to going to Sew & Fit, I went through the Yelp reviews and saw that Sew & Fit was nearing 5 stars. I read the reviews and decided I would give them a shot. When I walked in the door, I was greeted so enthusiastically that I immediately felt super comfortable. Anyway, they quickly pinned everything, and sent me on my way. They asked when I needed it done by. I told them whenever would be fine. They had my suit and shirts ready the following week. When I walked in the door the owner was helping another customer, but he had a large smile on his face. He finished with the customer and then went and grabbed my suit and shirts. He asked if I would like to try them on. I put them on and didn't want to take them off. I was so impressed with Sew & Fit. Apparently you are supposed to plan everything for a wedding MONTHS in advance. Well, I'm not a planner. I ordered my dress online and received it 3 weeks before my wedding. It needed to be altered and every alteration place I called said they were booked out at least eight weeks. I finally called Sew & Fit and asked if they could alter my dress in less than three weeks. Saeid was so kind, he said he could get it done in two weeks. I asked him when he could see me to get it pinned and he said, "You can come in right now, if you want!" That is excellent customer service! I hustled down to his store, tried the dress on, got it pinned, and two weeks later it fit PERFECTLY!! Saeid was so nice and very professional! I highly recommend him. As far as price is concerned, I have no idea what other places charge to alter wedding dresses, so I can't comment on fairness of price because I don't know. He charged me $175 and that included fitting the bodice, adjusting the length, and tacking across the tops of the shoulders to secure some fabric that I didn't like being loose. The price was worth it to me, especially since I was in a pinch due to other alteration places having ridiculous wait times. read more

My dog, trying to get a candy bar, ripped apart the inside pocket to my brand new $400 Salomon ski jacket...I was devastated. When I looked online for an alteration/tailor, Sew N Fit had lots of great reviews and was close to my shop. I was told that Sayid could fix it, but it may not exactly match, since the material was a custom gortex stretch fabric. I told him it did not matter to me, since it was an inside pocket. I am petite and I was using a lady downtown for my alterations, who was quite far from me, but her price was really cheap, but her hours weren't the best. I found this place on Yelp. I had 2 dresses altered within a short time; and they threw in a pocket square from my dress material for my husband for free :) Their prices are slightly more than the other lady, however still reasonable, but the quality, speed and customer service was worth the little extra.
