I am petite and I was using a lady downtown for my alterations, who was quite far from me, but her price was really cheap, but her hours weren't the best. I found this place on Yelp. I had 2 dresses altered within a short time; and they threw in a pocket square from my dress material for my husband for free :) Their prices are slightly more than the other lady, however still reasonable, but the quality, speed and customer service was worth the little extra. Can't beat this place. The quality of the tailoring and how Saeid treats his customers is exactly what you would want from anybody. I was looking for a tailor that wasn't too pricey, and frankly places like Utah Woolen Mills are obviously in it for the money and not the customer without the quality. I decided to give Saeid a shot and I won't be going anywhere else anytime soon. He knows his trade and he can do just about anything you can ask him to do. And in a timely fashion. This is an excellent place to have a suit tailored. Saeid does a fantastic job! This was my first time having a suit jacket tailored, so I was a little nervous leaving my jacket with someone. I had no worries with Saeid though. He understood all the alterations I wanted done with my jacket and had lots of advice on how to perfect it. He did the tailoring very quickly and at a reasonable price. The jacket fit fantastically and looked great when he was done with it! He is a very friendly, cool guy with great customer service. Went here to have my wedding dress altered. Told me it would cost 45 dollars just for the consult if I decided not to chose him. He said this is because I could take his ideas elsewhere. I didn't know hemming a dress was a "new idea". They had great reviews on here so I figured why not. He quoted me $405 dollars for hemming of six layers and adding a wider panel to the corset. I am two months away from my wedding so I left my dress with him. I called other places and I was quoted half the cost. I called Sew n fit the next day to cancel my order and he told me I would pay him $45 for his time and the fabric he had already purchased. When I went pick up my dress, he had raised the cost to $65 dollars because of the time he spent at Joann's for a yard of fabric. Over the phone he had said 30 for the consult and 15 for the fabric. So I challenged him and asked for the receipt. He wouldn't show me. Kept saying I needed to pay for his time. After going back and forth, he finally admitted buying multiple things at Joann's. It wasn't until I told him I would write a bad review that he lowered the cost back to $45 dollars. For a consult and a yard of fabric. When he took his pins out of my dress he did it forcefully and abruptly to the point where I had to tell him to stop handling my dress like that! I am appalled this place is in business. He probably challenges all negative reviews so new customers can't see them. I do have proof of the receipts that I did attempt to do business here. read more

I've brought him some difficult pieces to tailor, including a leather jacket, ski pants, and a dress that was too small. He tackled each project expertly and with a sweet demeanor. Because I investigated 7 different places before finding out the Saeid is the best and still costs less than anyone! He has tailored a almost a dozen suits, shirts, coats, he can do anything. Saeid saved my wedding dress! I purchased my wedding dress from a popular downtown bridal store. Unfortunately they ordered the dress WAY too big. I went through three iterations of alterations with the seamstress recommended by the bridal store. Her work was careless and rushed. When I finally had the dress home, it still was big up top and the stitches she used to attach bra cups came out when I tried it on. Feeling like I had nothing to lose, I searched for a tailor to try to fix things. Sew & Fit had great reviews, so I took a chance. Saeid did a great job fixing the dress, making sure it fit perfectly. His work was detailed and I have no worries about it falling apart like before. I just wish I had gone to him in the first place! My mother, an amateur seamstress who came into town just two days before said she could have fixed it given enough time. Frankly, I don't appreciate you blaming me when I DID in fact express that it felt too big. And since you make custom clothing, I imagine you could have made the dress fit, despite my apparent "poor style choices." Had your response been less defensive and blaming, I would have considered returning for simpler alterations. But based on your response, I will find another tailor for my future needs. read more
