They are amazing! I literally needed alterations done in 3 days on a satin dress and toddler pants for a wedding - they were able to get it done so quickly for a fair price! Then to make it even worse I FORGOT to pick up our stuff the night before and they stayed late just for me to get it! I was almost an hour late after closing and they were so kind enough to wait for me knowing the wedding was tomorrow! LOVE THEM AND HIGHLY SUGGEST THEM! read more

A bit expensive but highly skilled in what they do. They deliver on the time that they say they will. i've been very happy with all the Alterations they have done for me, and some of them have been quite technical in nature, in other words with heavy outdoor fabrics Small family owned shop, very old school. read more

Affordable prices & quality work. Would recommend They tailor everything. One stop shop, not to mention friendly.

Good experience, reasonably priced. Had a ton of jeans hemmed and did a good job. I would go back

They're amazing! The owner is incredibly sweet and attentive. She made sure my jean alterations would fit perfectly and they absolutely did.

I took two pair of men's dress pants in to Family Alterations to have the inseam shortened. The customer service was excellent as well as the workmanship. The price was reasonable and even though I needed them within a short period of time, I wasn't charged the "Rush Order" fee. Would definitely recommend Family Alterations . Vicky Y read more

Wonderful work done here by the owner couple. My wife has two traditional Chinese dresses that are a little too big for her. The owner did magic and now they are perfect fit especially at the waist. Thank you! read more

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I work for Luxury Fashion House and Family Alterations is the only location in Utah that I trust with my fashion pieces. Ibrihim goes above and beyond to ensure that the clothes are altered perfectly. His talent is extraordinary and is able to accommodate clients needs. He and his wife are beautiful souls that truly care about their patrons. I won't go anywhere else. read more

Dropped off a military jacket to have three patches swapped. The cost was $50 and when I called the afternoon I was promised it would be finished, it was clear that he had forgotten about it. I tried it on today and he sewed most of my sleeve shut, so I had to cut the stitches to be able to use it for an event. He commented that the rank was crooked and he fixed it, but it wasn't crooked before and now they're both uneven and crooked. I will have to take it to another tailor to be corrected. read more

Terrible! Do NOT come here for alterations! They messed up my daughter's beautiful wedding dress!! Zipper wasn't working well so we needed a zipper replaced and a few other minor things. The dress was champagne colored with a hidden zipper and they replaced the zipper with some sort of WHITE jacket type zipper with a HUGe pull tab. They sewed the zipper in crooked and the waistline no longer matched up. The zipper was too big and they let the dress out too much so now the buttons and bow in the back are no longer centered. When we tried to express our concerns over the zipper (even before noticing it was crooked) he just kept saying it looks good, it matches the dress, nobody will notice-HaHa!! When we dropped the dress off we were told it would take over a month to get the new zipper ordered and put in, so payed a rush charge to get it done only a FEW DAYS sooner. When we asked why the zipper was white, he said they couldn't find a zipper the same color as the dress. What a load of crap! These people are terrible! I should have just figured it out myself. We got the dress back 4 days before bridal photos, so I had to figure out how to "cover up" the mess they made out of an expensive beautiful wedding gown. DO NOT use this company!!! read more

Quality, Value, Care to Detail, Timeliness, Would recommend to anyone. Worth traveling from Logan to Midvale or St George to Midvale for!!

I have taken my cloths to him for many years and he's always done an amazing job. Great prices, fast and reliable.

Nice couple runs this business and I like supporting small local businesses so if you need regular alterations this place would be a good choice. They did a great job hemming my sleeves. On the flip side I took my Army Service Uniform (formal jacket) and OCP (duty) uniforms in to get altered and patches sewn. While they insisted they knew how the military uniforms were supposed to be adjusted, they don't! I would not suggest you bring in any military projects without VERY clearly explaining how they are supposed to look. They also adjusted (increased) the price after I dropped off my uniforms and didn't bother to call me and let me know before finishing the project and charging me extra than I was planning. read more

I hopped into this store to get measurements for a dress for my step sons wedding. I was having a custom made dress, no one wanted to take my measurements without having the dress but Abraham and Summer were glad to with a small fee. They were very kind people and their willingness to help made me a lifetime customer! Thank you! read more

We've been coming here for at least 4 years now, Ibrahim gives the feeling of an old world master of his craft. We have always been satisfied with his work. He and his family are very friendly and make for a very warm and inviting environment. If you even need a good tailor, I highly recommend this place. read more

Although they did a good job altering my dress they did a bad job of hemming one of my hubby's jeans. They were actually shorter than what we requested and the lady was keep telling us that they were exactly what we told them to do. When my hubby tried them on sure enough they were too short. But at that point there was not much you can do so we paid and left. After I got home I re measured them again and sure enough they were a lot shorter than other jeans they hemmed. I think she was stretching the jeans to show me how they weren't too short. Very disappointed that she couldn't just admitted they made a mistake. Mistakes can happen and if she handled this differently I would have given them another chance but I don't think I'm going to. read more

Went to alter some pants the first time, and I got a great deal. Second time around, they tried to charge twice what they did last time and said it would take a lot longer too. When I said I wasn't interested anymore, the guy shoved my clothes back at me across the counter. read more

Reasonable priced alterations. Results are okay not bad but not the best I've been to. Give it a try yourself.

I have taken 2 different articles of clothing here now. I love this place. The first was a dress with a lining that I needed for a ball just 4 days away. The dress was exactly the right length. It was a little more than I was hoping for but with the rush I totally understood. The second article was a tshirt. I ordered a very limited eddition Tshirt but in the wrong size. I went in and tried on my shirt for them and he pinned it up for me. Since there was no rush this time it was super cheap for the Tshirt. They are always super friendly and I love the work they do. I will be taking all of my and my husbands clothes there from now on. read more

Really great work, and always friendly. Very reasonable price - especially given the quality of work. I live in North Salt Lake and it's worth the drive to Midvale. read more

Ibrahim and his wife are very friendly and provided excellent service and price. They will definitely get my repeat business.

Bad experience. Took a uniform jacket in to be "taken in"around the waist and have a rank stripe sewed on sleeves. Stripe was sewed on with different color thread and spacing was incorrect(not the same space as other three stripe currently on jacket). When back of jacket was altered, there are now wrinkles at the seams on both sides. I took it back to have fixed, which he fixed one sleeve(which looks good now, even the thread color) but other sleeve stripe still has different shade of thread and not parallel stripe(space on one end is not same as the other). I was told the alteration at waist is because the jacket was the wrong size, but isn't that why I'm having it altered, he didn't mention this before hand, only as an excuse after I complained. Also accused me of being "picky" and said "you can't see from a distance" which I thought was unprofessional and poor customer service, vs just fixing mistake instead of making excuses. I took the Jacket to another shop who fixed all mistakes with no problems, also their prices are much cheaper too. I just waisted $65 and my time making three trips to his shop. read more
