I enjoyed one of the seasonal lattes, which had a yummy campfire marshmallow flavor. They offer whole milk and oatmilk as well. Hands down the best coffee and breakfast spot in Gainesville!…read more We've lived in Gainesville for a while and have tried all the new coffee shops that have popped up around the Square recently. While the new spots are fine, we decided to revisit Inman today. In my opinion, they're still the best coffee shop in town. First, the coffee quality is on another level. You can really taste the pride they take in selecting their beans. I ordered the "Fresh Start" latte with coconut milk, and it was easily the best latte I've had in Gainesville. They have the most impressive selection of non-dairy options I've seen. Most places only carry oat or almond, so finding coconut milk was a huge win for me. They also have a massive coffee menu with specialty items I haven't seen elsewhere, like a Breve! My husband got an iced mocha and a panini and absolutely loved both. Second, the food menu is incredible, especially if you have dietary restrictions. I have gluten and dairy sensitivities, and usually, my options are limited. Inman has the biggest gluten-free menu in the area--GF muffins, brownies, and actual GF bread options. I got the avocado toast on gluten-free bread topped with scrambled eggs. The bread was delicious (not cardboard-like at all!), the avocado was fresh, and the eggs were perfect. If you've been distracted by the newer shops, do yourself a favor and go back to Inman. Between the extensive menu, the high-quality coffee, and the dietary options, they are beating the competition by a mile.

After nearly a decade I gave Inman another shot. It's a permanent write off at this point…read more After seeing the sign on the register asking for patience because the food is served fresh it took 20-30 minutes to get this avocado toast (with an up charge for that pre-cooked bacon, on that pre-packaged guac) with another 10 minutes to get a latte I ordered was all the sign I needed that this is my last visit. The only patience needed to prepare this food order was the time the toaster needed to do its job and that bread maybe experienced heat for 30 seconds. The trainee at the register was extremely pleasant but should not be left to manage the register, and juggling drinks while two more experienced employees appeared to have absolutely no sense of purpose or urgency. The onboarding program is sink or swim. The staff deserves better than that. I kept my drink but asked for a refund on the meal. It tasted like the effort put into making it...nothing.

My last visit I asked for a caramel macchiato with extra caramel drizzle. I did not get extra caramel drizzle but instead 4 large pumps of caramel were loaded into my small tall coffee. I am a former barista. There should not be any pumps of caramel in this drink. Only pumps of vanilla, steamed milk, then layered espresso with the caramel. My drink is so sweet I can barely drink it. This is a caramel latte. Please train your baristas the difference.

I am a Starbucks barista (granted, at a licensed location) who doesn't often leave reviews, but my…read moreexperience at this particular location left much to be desired, and I only wish to offer some constructive criticism. I have no intention of being rude, and I apologize in advance if any of the following comes off that way. I intend to be fully objective, as experiences like these do not bother me emotionally, save for mild disappointment. I pulled into the drive-thru with a mobile order (a Venti iced coffee w/ cream and brown sugar, an Egg, Pesto, & Mozzarella, and a chocolate croissant) placed roughly five minutes prior around 9:00 PM. I expected to wait for a minute or two, since the estimated wait time was anywhere between four and seven minutes. However, I ended up waiting in the car line for roughly ten minutes before making it to the window, and the reason why was obvious when I did. I wish I could say that they were only running behind because they were busy with in-store orders, but from what I could see, the customer areas were mostly empty. When I finally pulled up to the window, a few baristas were simply standing there in front of the espresso machines and socializing with one another. Yes, it is important to get along with your coworkers, especially in such a high-pressure workplace, but when you have a queue of so many orders to fulfill, socializing should not be the priority in that moment. One barista finally opened the window and politely informed me that they were out of brown sugar, so I asked for vanilla instead. They were happy to oblige. I then waited another ten minutes before receiving my order. Both food items were cold, and the iced coffee was warm and tasted watered down. This experience evidence of little to no beverage sequencing and no Customer Support Cycle, as well as, more broadly, a lack of understanding of and/or care for the "Starbucks experience." I'm no manager, not even a shift lead, but I can tell these baristas, however pleasant they were, are not following their training to the best of their abilities. I hope someone there sees this and thinks of it as a learning experience, though I know I don't often look at reviews for my own location. Regardless, it is important to hold each other accountable.
